Alrighty folks below is some info you've seen before but i also wanted to add that Skydive Oregon will be having a BYOB BBQ saturday night and night jumps friday night. This is kind of a "kick off" to the NW summer! the 4-way comp will also be going on along with the swooping comp. It should be great fun so come out and at least watch some swooping, watch the 4-ways, and drink some beer and eat some food! The competition will be held Saturday the 25th. Registration and Safety briefing at 8:15am, wheels up by 9am. Competitors must attend safety briefing and be registered to compete. Registration $50+ $25 for the cash purse, jumps not included. Don't know the jump number but there is video of part of it on skydivingmovies.com titled "section 8 eugene skydivers" me and 2 of my best buds went up and did a sunset canopy run when the clouds/industrial haze below us looked like fresh powder on a mountain. we did some high performance CRW, follow the leader, and so on. truely my most memorable jump. was just looking at some pictures and a thought came to me, why is head down so much more popular then head up? there are very few bigger head up jumps, or jumps just designated as head up jumps it seems. maybe it's just me but why do you think wanting to learn and go head down has become the "in thing" to do now a dayz? Hello everyone, Just wanted to put out a reminder that the next NW swoop competition will be held June 25/26 at Skydive Oregon, Molalla. This event will be held over water so it will be a good time to get some shreds on the water if you haven't before. I hope all of you have been preparing, and Tom, get ready to defend that 1st place you took at the last meet! One other thing, NWCPC t-shirts are now available to both competitors and non-competitors. If you're interested please email me at superstu81469@yahoo.com, these are custom made for our region and they're cheap! I have sizes ranging from small to XL, so just let me know of your size and i'll ship them out to ya or you can pick them up at one of the competitions. They are $10 for competitors and $16 for non-competitors. That is a great atttitude in this sport! I wish more people have this attitude. Just remember one thing; knowledge doesn't mean a damn thing unless you apply it, and this even less people do in our sport. but you're half way there if you're listening. on to your original post; i don't think it's more dangerous for either sex when it comes to skydiving, we all take the same risks. however, I personally think ones attitude plays a major role when it comes to how at risk one person is. just my .02 Slip Stream Air Sports Do not go softly, do not go quietly, never back down

got to do my first birdman suit flight this past weekend. very cool experience. was kind of potato chippin a little bit, but from 10k i had a 69 second flight and an average speed of 58mph according to my neptune deploying at 5k. so very cool experience.
