Have you jumped your reserve?
ChileRelleno replied to bwilling's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Reserve ride #1- 05/16/97 Premature container opening leads to horseshoe mal, took a ride on a lopo26, landed it where I wanted it... On the airport. Reserve ride #2- 10/21/00 I twisted my Hornet 210 down to the risers (bad body position) 1500' cha chink! I took a ride on my Tempo 210, Nice opening, flew good and flared great. My freebag came down on top of my main, talk about luck! ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868 -
It'll never fail to amaze me the way some people think and reason. To have so much spite and ignorance in ones life is really shameful. Sometimes, as in this case it just makes me shake my head in bewildered pity. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

There is always time for the second one (counseling)... ALWAYS! Even at a boogie... Especially at a Boogie! No one should ever be so busy as not to have time to encourage safety in the air or on the ground. Most times a little counseling is all they need, perhaps with the threat of expulsion if at a Boogie. Depending on the severity of the action it really should be (1) counsel, (2) ground, counsel and educate (3) expulsion. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

Oh yes! there is most definitely light at the end of the tunnel. Heck, I'll probably be back to work this coming week. I have a Doc's appmnt tomorrow in which he'll probably release me back to work and as soon as I can run without being all gimpy I'll be back in the air. I keep thinking I may just wait till the Mardi Gras Boogie, I'm in need of a repack and CYPRES batteries so the week before I'll probably have my wife drop my rig off at the riggers. Mardi Gras Boogie flightline
ChileRelleno replied to ChileRelleno's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Reliable rumors (Head pilot) indicate that the 2003 flightline will include (3) Super Otters, (1) CASA and (1) "not so super" Otter... Boogie is March 4-9-2003. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868 -
Hell yeah, cliques are formed by freeflyers and belly fliers. Sometimes going to a new DZ and getting on hooked up with others to play with can be intimidating if there are not load organizers due to cliques, but mostly its just because they don't know you or your abilities. In my travels I've learned to be very extroverted and have been known to stand in the middle of a hangar and introduce myself loudly when looking for folks to jump with. I've never seen any real animosity towards each other as a group, a little tension if the exit order/separation or ect gets screwed up. In general we poke fun at each other or get together and do hybrids. Most times at your home DZ other jumpers know what discipline you prefer and if you only do one why ask? I get around quite a bit and when I'm looking for people to play with they just ask what I prefer to do and what my abilities are. I personally do both, I dig RW and freefly so I seldom get left out of the fun

I'm loaded at 1.26 and my Hornet behaves well in deep brakes. I can sink my canopy into the peas in a more traditional accuracy approach just as well as shooting sport accuracy. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

I have a Hornet 210 which I load 1.26, if you've read all the "Glowing" reports then you've read some of mine. What can I say? The PISA Hornet and Heatwaves are well designed, well made and fly very nicely not to mention that they are in most cases "Alot" cheaper than comparable canopies from other manufactures... Demo one... Buy one... You'll like it... Period Biased? Heck ya! I've borrowed, demo'd and rented all sorts of other canopies, I really liked this one. It does what its supposed to do and does it well and I saved hundreds of $$$$'s. Another plus, I've talked on the phone to "live" people and gotten prompt response to Email and was taken care of properly, I think thats called good customer service... I like that too. I just went and visited my home DZ (Goldcoast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS). I hung around and shook hands told the story of how I broke my leg half a dozen times and drooled at all the activity. The pilot Travis is a very good acquaintance of mine and stuck me in the co-pilots seat and said we'll atleast get you in the air
