I have some friends who are not family who I would ask for food/shelter, cry on their shoulder and vice versa and ect... One of those I would trust with my families wellbeing in an emergency situation, and who I have entrusted my life to in the past. These are friends I've known since elementary and JR.High school, I've known my friend Jody for 23 years, Frank for 19 and Melanie for 18/19. But the really "Real" best friends are the friends I call my family, I mean there's family and then there's "FAMILY". You know what I mean the ones your really friends with... Then again we have our skydiving family/friends, we feed and shelter each other, live and die with each other, comfort and console and regularly put our lives in each others hands. Yo Skydiverchick, First off I never doubted the possibility off you going to jail for a 12 mph ticket when compounded atop multiple violations, I just thought you were whining too much about self inflicted misery. OH the unfairness! Why me? Having read your explanations and comments I find that apparently you do have family and did not outright lie to your grandmother, sometimes certain details are better left in the dark and the "don't ask, don't tell" is acceptable in my book. I too have branches of my family tree that for most purposes have been pruned one way or another, that I would not even think of asking for help. So I can understand where that came from. I hope that sometime in the future you will try to close those gaps in such closely related family (father,brother and grandparents), family is all we truly have besides our soul. I was under the impression that you had just blatantly lied to your grandmother and apparently us since you had said I too have told my share of lies big and little but I now strive to be as honest as possible with my fellow man and especially my family, I've created major strife by going back and admitting past discretions but they were healed and reconciled better than if they came out of a closet. I've been ticketed in the state of Ohio within the last year and was not told to pay then and there, you can send the fine in or you can go to court. In Ohio if you recieve multiple violations within a one year period then a court appearance is mandatory. The practice of forcing payment of fines on the spot is unconstitutional, you are being denied due process, you are being tried, convicted and penalized... I could rant about this... This has been challenged in other states and found unconstitutional, Louisiana is another state which has been nailed on this practice. Besides jumping I love to fish, salt or fresh doesn't matter! This last friday and saturday my friends and I took the boat out to our favorite spot and we nailed the redfish and black drums. I keep catching the biggest fish, but you should have seen the ones that got away! My biggest you see pictured here is 36"- 20 lbs, a nice red by anyones standards! Gear/tackle - 7' seeker rod/Penn 7500ss reel, 15lb line using dead shrimp on a 2/0 hook with a 40lb mono leader. Yeah, I know medium tackle but once I set the hook it aint getting away!
