Mardi Gras Boogie is coming!!!
ChileRelleno replied to ChileRelleno's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Yes folks the infamous Mardi Gras Boogie is just around the corner! Held at Goldcoast Skydivers in Moss Point, MS during the Mardi Gras holiday (DUH!), this year it'll be March 4-9. Goldcoast is only 30 minutes from Mobile, AL and 90 minutes from New Orleans, LA. This Boogie gets bigger and better every year, last year we had 2 super Otters and 2 CASA's (2003 flightline not posted yet). So if you like to jump and party start thinking about the Mardi Gras Boogie!!! I can't wait I had a freakin blast last year and met and jumped with some great people, the parties rocked, the bonfire blazed and the skydiving was GREAT! Check their website for upcoming event details. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868 -

Forever soaring, free from earthly bondage. To be remembered by those who loved and knew you is to continue to live, love and happiness can live forever. My deepest condolences to the families and friends, just remember them always. My kindred spirit feels a loss each time a brother or sister is released from life... Blue Skies, Black Death. My first question is "Why didn't you order it with a new bag, bridle and new ZP PC?" Get the new ZP collapsible PC, You cannot count on the "plain and old" f111 PC. To me this is much more an area of concern than new risers with toys. As for the possibility of line dump due to increased snatch/pull force, simply make sure your stows are long enough and that your bands are tight, double'em if you have to. Get the PC or dig deep and get both if the risers are old and questionable... ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

Live and learn, crash and burn! I'm glad to hear your not joining the ranks of the heavy metal club or worse. Remember to R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compression and elevation) those knees and go easy at the controls of your new hankerchief. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868 -
Naw there's nothing wrong with you. A good friend of my wife bought us a reconditioned washer/dryer combo shortly after we had our son, we both were very excited, happy and thankful. When I got married I was the one getting excited about all the cookingware and kitchen stuff we received as wedding presents, I love to cook. The kitchen is mine when I'm at home, Remember all the great chefs are men! ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

Hi Djan! Chile Relleno here ( the trucker), I jumped with you at Rantoul and would like to say once again, " Thank you for the load organizing". I loved your attitude and personality! Just 2.5 weeks later on 08/24/02 I was visiting Skydance and busted the crap out of my leg (bad swoop = bad tib/fib), I'm still waiting to get back in the air and I'm sure there'll be some nerves when I return to the big blue playground. I will not be bound to the earth, I will soar again!!! ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

Yo man, the fact is you can't... She is going to and has made her decisions about her choice of activities. You can as a friend tell her of your concerns and tactfully address the areas of her skills which are lacking in your opinion. Then as her "friend" it your obligation to encourage and help her to seek additional training in those areas of concern, not doing this is leaving the door to disaster open. This is the "something" that you feel you should be doing, if you don't and something happens later you may feel guilt, anger, ect... you'll probably feel that way anyway but you'll have done your part to make her as safe/skilled as possible. This is what being a true friend is all about, being able to show your concern and to say I don't agree with you but since your set on it let me help you do the best you can. I would love for my company to get mudflaps on all our trailers with the ""(We operate flatbeds so stickers are out) this really does catch peoples attention and increase safety awareness. I also like the ones showing are 4wheeler (car) getting creamed by the 18wheeler after cutting inside while we're making our wide turns. Most folks really have no clue about how to drive safely around bigtrucks and share the road, I'm very much into educating people about the "NO ZONE" around trucks. Skydance Skydiving in Davis, CA does night jumps. I wanted to do some night jumps when I was passing through N. Cal during August full moon and they were the only DZ out of the 4-5 that I called that had'em scheduled. I really liked the people at Skydance...
