  2. You know it Bro, spreading it far and wide I had a great time doing the initiations and so did Raya De luz, our bumpy brother was feeling the tequila by the time she climbed off the last initiate. I was master of ceremonies and I've never had so much fun with a bullhorn LOL... I learned by watching "THEE" master himself, the great Cajones! 4. OK, I said I would try to get back with some numbers for the boogie and here they are: Aprox 240 registered jumpers, down about 120 from last year. Aprox 2000 jumps(guesstimated, final #'s not in yet.) Aprox 6 cutaways/reserve rides NO INJURIES!!!
  5. I really like all the mystery meat pics, to me that is the most interesting aspect of aviation, the experimental aircraft and the just plain weird. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
  6. That was one of his comments to me " you deal drugs your gonna get caught" and "its a chance you take". This is his first run in with the law and he is rightfully scared. I personally don't condone what he was doing and especially where, but I wished him luck for a slap on the hand, probation ect... 7. Yes, and I'm glad your buddy picked it up and took care of it for you, the usual boogie theft crap was reported a couple of times! ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
  8. A little hearsay and more facts... The police were tipped off by a boogie participant that the use and sale of drugs was present on the DZ, the police responded and found probable cause to hold the vehicle and the jumper, warrant was obtained and the vehicle was searched, seven (7) or more ounces of marijuana (packaged for distribution) and a (very nice) scale were confiscated and supposedly the vehicle impounded, said jumper was arrested for "possession with intent to distribute". Jumper was released on bail that night (his friends had a bail arranged before he was even taken into custody) and was back at the DZ the next next day. Needless to say he is facing possibly severe penalties under law and is very shall we say "concerned for his future". ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
  9. The clouds broke up around 9:00am and the sun worked its magic, a beautiful day once again
  10. Thick overcast at 500,mist and scattered showers No jumps all day, we flew kites and played games while cursing the sky gods! Being skydivers if we can't jump then we'll darn well PARTY!!! The kegs were tapped early and the party started, a little later the DJ got setup and started pumping out the mix, five gallons of JET A got the bonfire roaring and then dinner was served, a awesome cajun jambalaya full of cajun sausage, beef and chicken was served up hot and yummy! The raffle was conducted shortly after dinner with great prizes being awarded to the lucky winner!!! Rodriguez Bros initiations were a blast and I was master of ceremonies, a big welcome to our new brothers! And the party went on till the wee hours of the morning... 11. I don't know if it was weed or whatever. My personal opinion is it needs to wait to be brought out till after jumping is finished for the day, just like alcohol. And since it is "ILLEGAL" needs to be taken off the DZ to avoid "ANY" possible repercussions to the operation of the DZ. We face enough scrutiny without having the use, possesion and possible distibrution of drugs and ect added to our problems. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
  12. So did they ever get a serch warrant or what.Quote They had been holding the jumper for several hours on site before I left at 6pm and looked like they had NO intention of letting him go until they searched his vehicle. 13. I really don't think was another jumper calling the police, this guy/guys was plainclothes of some type. Word was these folks were Narc's trying to find drugs/contraband being used or sold... ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
  14. This really raises alot of questions in my head, Public federally funded airport, state or federal jurisdiction? Repercussions to the DZ/DZO? ect... ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868

  16. OK, first let me say "I don't know the whole story, some of this is hearsay but I saw stuff with my own eyes." This afternoon at the Boogie there were apparently one to three (1-3) NARC/plainclothes of some type who were watching/looking for drugs ect... (Hearsay)Word is that some of these "visitors" (so many at a Boogie) were watching for and inquiring about get a hold of contraband. One "visitor/NARC" apparently smelled or observed one of our jumpers in his personal vehicle with contraband, the local police were called and said jumper refused to allow search of his vehicle. (Not hearsay)The jumper was then detained at the scene by the NARC and local police while a effort to obtain a search warrant was started. The jumper and police were still waiting for the warrant to arrive when I left for home at 6pm. ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
