    8 years 9 months and 23 days, 336 jumps. I made aprox 55 jumps the first year and spent the next 5.5 years renting gear and just barely staying current or regaining currency after non skydiving related injuries. Then on 09/30/2000 I took possession my very own brand new gear and my skydiving life changed forever...

    I absolutely love night jumps! I too did night jumps saturday whilst visiting Skydive Monroe in Monroe,GA, They had about 11 jumpers making their first night jumps in order to qualify for their D's and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the looks on their faces after making first and second jumps, priceless One young lady had the experience of having her first cutaway on her second night jump, and still came down with smiles and greatly increased confidence in herself!     I can guarantee you that every one of those jumpers has "overamped", forgot the next point, bounced off somebody else, stolen air, funneled formations and in general caused mayhem on more than one jump in their history. If they (particularly Grumpy) respond to you with disgust or other snobbery then "SCREW THEM!" and their holier than thou skygodliness. After 34 states and 60 DZ's I'm glad to say that I hardly ever run into really rude snobs and skygods, granted there can be some folks who are cliquish but I usually break this barrier by being my normally extroverted self and sometimes standing in the center of the packing area introducing myself and loudly asking for someone to play with.
