According to my logbook, I've been earthbound for a little more than 4 months. Finally, today I started jump season 2004 3 Jumps from a cesna 182 and blue skies. I mean blue skies. Not one cloud to spot anywere. Only -5C at 10000' and a whopping +2C on the ground I feel reborn ... again

I believe Skybytch is a secret agent for the celery industry. It will start with some few skydivers. Soon the whole world will follow. Everybody will be smashing celery. As demand outgrow the supplie, prices for celery will skyrocket. The high price for celery will anger the people of the world. To deal with that anger, we will need celery! Sounds like a job where you could do some work from home. If you got an internet connection, do you really need to be physically in the office? I'd might try to ask to work at least 2-3 days a week from home. I don't know CVS to well, but won't that make it possible to work on the buss? Use the time on the bus for sleeping, reading and all the things most people almost never find time to do. There are only 10 types of people in the world. I agree that this post rather should be in safety and training. In my short jumping carreer so far this is my experience. Anyway, one should always be prepared to land out. I've landed out more times than I've had linetwists the past 150 jumps. (my hornet just don't want to twist up even with sloppy packing

What kind of bogous site is this? Look at http://www.fearofphysics.com/Shake/shake.html The result of the experiment is true, but they fail completely to mention why. I'm sure there's a lot of people at your dz with fancy cameras. Tried to borrow one from one of them? Maybe someone even will help you with filming and editing? I made two creepers last summer. i don't remember the dimention for the weels, but i think the wheel diameter were about 100mm. When building it remember to put some plates under the middle wheel to elevate it a little bit. It's a good idea to mount the four outer wheels first. Then lay on the creeper and feel where your center of gravity is. That's where the middle wheel should be. There are only 10 types of people in the world. I'm considering getting a video camera. Main reason is to film freefly body positions for learning, not producing movies. Has anybody tried using one of those small memory card minicamcorders for skydiving? Here is one example of a camera: http://asono.com/en/product_info.php?cPath=50&products_id=284&subpage=specs Advantages I see is: - No moving parts - Cheap - Weight and size. 150g and can probably just be duct taped to the side of a normal helmet. Disadvantages is obvious. It will be crappy video. Question is if it will be good enough for educational purposes, or will the lack of wide angle lense and image stabilizer combind with the poor quality make it useless? If anybody has tried using anything simular I would love to see the result. (ps. YES I know a SONY will give me what I need. Don't suggest getting a real camera.
