Well, we tried a new exit from an AN-28 tailgate, and i knocked my forehead in the side of the plane. Almost got knocked unconscious. Closest I've ever been to need my cypres. Oh, and I have about 200 jumps. I hope I don't get that close again. Not having one because you KNOW you never not going to pull is bullshit and unrealistic. Plain stupid actually. Not having one because you accept and understand the risc is fine. Skydiving is risc management. If you ignore the riscs, you can't manage them. There are only 10 types of people in the world. That is nice if you got the cashflow for it. (un)Fortunately here in Norway we don't get to jump so much during the winter. That's why it's a good idea to use the winter months to sell and buy gear. Dang...unbuckle....that was the word I were looking for... This seatbelt is a 2 foot strap with a carabine in each end. They are the only kind I have seen in Norway so far. Usually in smaller planes like C-206, the jumpmaster collects all of them and put them out of the way in the back of the plane. An easy thing to forget, but usually you notice once you start moving around in the plane for gear checks, etc. There are only 10 types of people in the world. My EP is in muscle memory. I don't think I can not pull the reserve handle when I first start. I throw away the cutaway handle, but not the reserve handle. I see no good reason to throw it, nor any reason not to pull it. I really don't care if I loose a handle or two. When the shit hits the fan, I care about walking away in one piece. One good addition to regular EP drills that I like (and think should be mandatory for students) is to put on a traning harness and have someone pulling you around simulating a spinning mal. It's a far more realistic simulation, and you can practise to to your EPs under some stress. There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Everybody loves their pro-tracks, so that is a good choice. I bought a pro-dytter, because it saved me some money. It's nice to see the fallrates and data from the jumps afterward. However, two of my team mates on our 4-way team had one, so I got it pretty much anyway I'm going to get me a neptune when jump season starts again. I've understood that it can be software upgraded by the user, so after a couple of more versions all the initial bugs will be gone. Newer sounds better. Also I can wear it as an altimeter. I noticed RWS still has hornet listed on their price list. They don't got Aerodyne listed, so it might just not been updated. Do you take the main out before doing a reserve repack?

I'm no rigger so here comes some question. - When the main containger is closed, wont it push on the reserve container a little, giving the reserve slightly less space? Will not this decrease in space for the reserve when the main container is closed, increase the pressure on the reserve closing loop? How much does this affect the pull force? Double front riser aproach for landing is just to pick up speed. I started learning myself to land like this with just putting a little pressure on the front risers. Just a little increase in speed will make the flare a lot more powerful. Physics say 2 times the speed will give the canopy 4 times the lift (I think that is almost correct). I would say it might be a little early at 25 jumps. How do you get bored under canopy so soon? However if he starts slow with just trying to put some pressure on I think he will be fine. They speak??? Why??? I want my AAD to have only the absolutely neccesary function. More function=more running code that can lock the unit up. I don't want my AAD to stop working in freefall because the speach software, or the fancy menu system driver crashes. My AAD shall do what it's designed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. I would recomend flying to norway. It's hard to drive If you go snowboarding, remeber to wear wrist protectors. You should be prepared to sleep on your stomach, because your butt is going to be sore. (if it isn't, you weren't trying hard enough) You will learn a lot in 4 days. If what people say about you are right you will rock the slopes on day 4. I highly recomend going.

Often when there are links to video files here, there is a bunch of people saying "doesn't work / can only hear sound" etc ... Here are some utilities that can help. If you don't want to install the Real player, there is an alternative here. Just the codec. You can find Real Alternetive here Also I can recomend K-lite codec pack. After installling it you probably wont find a video file your computer can't playback.

Well....girls may get away with this one: Pull your top off so the first thing the police officer sees when he walks over is a toppless woman... Then say: I was going so fast that my top blew right off...is this going to be bad??? You could get away with it, or it might get you in even more troubble. Get booties! If you're putting down some money for a RW suit you will regret it later if you leave them out. There are some differnt types of booties. Get the adjustable string booties. Some people will say that you don't need booties, because you need to learn to fly your body. Some people say they are like training wheels. Don't listen to them! Unless you still got problems beeing stable on your belly, holding a heading and making 360 turns left and right and stopping, you should be able to handle them fine. Only danger components I can see is if one of them get loose in freefall. Then you have to compensate some with the other leg. When you learn to use them right, you'll get much more power from your legs. They greatly improve your track, and they also make you more stable. Well, that's my opinion anyway.
