SOS is the price that Obama paid for Hillary to be a good little soldier and quietly throw her "support" into his camp. Now, Hillary is involved in foreign policy and Bill is involved in cash collection.

An acquaintance worked in Lebanon for a while. They defined an "army" as over 200 people. At one point, there were 13 private armies that functioned as security forces for private companies. Sometimes, a nearby battle would cause one side to back into the company area and the private security would start pounding the nearest side. His wife understood that "stuff blowing up outside" was a valid reason to be home late.

You just have a suspicious look about you. "You see that Bob?" "Yeah. A hippy. Turn on the lights."

I wonder how many people understand this reference? Mostly people with a foundation in mathematics and sociology.

"Hey... how about those Bucs?" (barf) Extroverts feel a need to attach themselves to a group identity. At 14, being a fan of a famous musician does not make you famous. It just supplies something vapid to talk about during uncomfortable silences.

Does your printer have a scan feature? I've got an HP that gives me excellent quality scans.

I heard that from a few people.

Is "Tuner"-salad the sexiest mothefucker you are aware of?

Wearing a Speedo around the dz hasn't made you more attractive, but people think you're British. -
The Pitts was at Clewiston last weekend. A boatload of people took the ride and got pics.

So I went to a pole dancing class tonight....

A couple of girls from a club worked out at my old gym. One wears high tube socks like me. One of her socks had a bulge at the top. "Is that a knife?" "Yeah. I'm like a freak magnet. It calms them down." -
Thank goodness that it's not humid there too.

The pics seem to illustrate that seeing the stairs down at an airport would be a common place occurrence. Their operation would take a little thought or intrigue to determine. DBC is standing at an airport window looking at airplanes one day, waiting on a friend to arrive. "Wow, don't they worry those stairs will fall down?" Nearby airline employee, "No, they are locked from inside."

Yep. Risk management goes on for everyone. It is basically the measurement of: - where the "edge" is. - what skills are necessary to manage the risk of approaching that edge. For example, skydivers who are not great canopy pilots will choose not to enter swooping competitions. Certain skill levels are necessary to approach that risk level. Some college students skateboard to class because they do not regard it as a risk. College psychology professors probably do not skateboard to class. They drive their car. They do not consider the possibility that a speeding car can run a red light and kill them. Skydiving can kill you, no matter what you do. So can snow skiing or walking to the mail box. So can a car crash on the interstate. Maybe they should research "quality of life". Total safety isn't always the goal.

...and that's just during that weekend of winter. One of our local jumpers functions as a solar eclipse.

weather clicky Not by much. I was in the Everglades last weekend and it was mostly high 70s, but that has all changed since I'm home. Do you realize that it is 64 degrees and misty outside right now? Such hardship. You guys should be more supportive.

happythoughts said: "Are you saying it doesn't exclude anyone? I think it does exclude some people." Sure, my neighbor's six year-old kid that isn't allowed to play with knives. Who hasn't cut a rope with a knife? It's not a difficult adult skill. "Why are you looking for big things? there are none." Why are we discussing caribiners when there is no evidence that any ever existed? We have an attachment method that can be reasonably expected. So, we are trying to come up with a new and unsupported theory? Waste of time. Ropes were cut. No other value in that action, but to use the pieces for a purpose - tieing something. "What you you have done, happythoughts, if the money arrived in the cloth bag? Would you have had a knife in your pocket? Would you have cut the chute lines and tied it around the money bag?" Yep. That is some pretty strong stuff. Plus, you know it is capable of withstanding opening shock on a load. Is the knapsack a guarantee? No. "Would you have demanded the original knapsack request, or adjusted because you knew you were running out of time?" The knapsack would be handy for carrying cash while running through some woods, but not that important. "Would you have done what Cooper did or something different?" Wore casual clothes, instead of a suit and shoes that fall off. If the knapsack was considered a better idea, then it would replace the briefcase. Contents of the knapsack? - hiking boots, thermal stuff, a parka, and snacks. (Survival supplies) I'd have eaten a lot of food on the plane while waiting. I'd have drank excessive amounts of bourbon as long as it was going to be free.

Ok, I'll function as S&TA. That way, you will know what activities are safe and responsible. (According to the newspaper, standing in the middle of traffic is not. )

Sometimes, people miss the obvious. Sure, the gymnastics is entertaining, but the attraction is the eventual nudity. -
...for about 2 weeks. Florida is full. Some of you may have had plans, we apologize. What is the deal? In about 43 different threads, people are mentioning that they are moving to Florida. It is really hot and muggy today. It just rained and it is humid. Is that what you really want? ...and sticky green frogs the size of cats.

"Excuse me, there is no bikini in this box." "Here it is, right under the washing instructions."

Knives, cutting ropes, and tieing knots. That narrows it down to... everyone. So... failed Eagle Scout (that would explain the "grudge" remark ). Or, serial killer at large. The car wash closed and he needs some quick cash.

- airplane speed. - wind direction and speed measured at 2K feet intervals. - rotation of the Earth. All those factors are of value once the jumpers are in freefall. However, it doesn't take into account the drift based on drag created by: - jumper suit fabric. - jumper weight. - formation size. - formation fall rate. Once you know all the freefall variables, it is climbout. - when the group climbs out. - how long will it take (size of group). - how long will the count be. Rube Goldberg machines

Norden bombsight "Meat bombs are over target, sir." I always wait for the first Skyvan load to exit. The pilots then adjust the spot and we are, (hopefully) closer on load 2. Instead of all the technology, I just have a cup of coffee and watch.

Wait 3 months - starting a thread discussing firearms will be "probable cause" for a search warrant of your premises. After all, if you don't have one, why would you be discussing them? (like you will have free speech either).

They all have the same whine, "You're done already?"
