Very sorry to hear about the passing of your Sister. My condolences to you and your family. People deal with death in different ways, including denial. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Outside of the USA, in the rest of the world the TSA is an irrelevance. As is the Patriot act and HSA. Thos are problems within the borders of one country in the world and are not world problems. I travel regularly and never have to go through a nuddie scanner unless I chose to. Ten years after 9/11. Technology moves on and the scanners are slowly becoming more widely adopted but not as a direct result of 9/11 if so they would be in all airports years ago. Iraq was sold on a lie and had nothing to do with 9/11, but that doesn't change the fact that the consequences in the world (not just in the USA) are due more to the Iraq war rather than 9/11. The UK or USA didn't go to war with Iraq because of 9/11 but because we were told that they had chemical weapons which they could deploy against us in 45 mins. 9/11 changed America but not the world. When was that? A little over 300 years ago. So not exactly relevant really then. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

While your points are historically interesting they fail to address the point of which event 9/11 or the Iraq war changed the world. I haven't written the USA off just yet, I think its on a long slow and most likely irreversible decline from its zenith of world superpower, but its not out of the game yet. However it is just a matter of time before its second and then a third rate world power. One can claim to be many things but it does not make them so. Through the lens of the rest of the world it is hard to see how the USA can back up such a claim when it orders extra judicial kidnappings and killings. With its human rights record, and use of torture and massive domestic surveillance. I'm not being emotional here at all, simply pointing out the way that the USA is viewed outside its borders. Thanks for addressing the OP, however while your points on life inside North America are valid there are some discrepancies on the world view. But those are pretty limited to North America, also London and Madrid had no direct link to the events on 9/11. In fact the bombers cited the reason for their actions on the Iraq war which radicalised people where as the only people radicalised by 9/11 were Americans. Educate yourself debate noun a formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward. • an argument about a particular subject, If you accept the premiss then you have no opposing view Still haven't learnt anything in ten years, thats very sad. Back then it was 'they hate us because we're free', and 'You're either with us or against us' clearly you have been unable to evolve beyond this ignorant and simplistic world view. Yet you are unable to articulate your incoherent rage and formulate any sort of logical intelligible response. I assume you are referring to substance for your lack of an argument. America had massive debt well before the Iraq war. People really need to differentiate the difference between debt and deficit. Quite right, my bad, I meant deficit rather than debt. 9/11 was a shock to America and to people all over the world, but as terrible as those events were they didn't change the world. The Iraq war did. It showed the world the limits of American power both military and economically. It ruined America financially, going from a surplus to a massive un-payable debt. Iraq exposed the darker side of America and lost its claim to be the upholders of Freedom and democracy. Because of Iraq America lost whatever claim it had on the moral high ground. It radicalised people who would not otherwise have been radicalised and led to the deaths of up to a million people. The legacy of 9/11 is mostly limited to some paranoia among some Americans, the legacy of Iraq is the demise of the USA as a world Superpower both in reality and in the imaginations of people around the globe. Israel used 'incredible violence' against Gaza aid flotilla

If Obama want to do something useful to stabilise the region (If thats what the US wants) then putting pressure on the Egyptian government for swift democratic reforms would be a good start. While the incident which killed five Egyptian police didn't help matters (Lets also remember it was following/during a terrorist attack on Israel and shit happens during a contact) the real fuel to the fire is the frustration and resentment in Egypt due to lack of reform following the revolution. I'm not blaming the people in the system, just acknowledging that the system was hopeless, I feel sorry for the people who had to sit on their hands and watch the whole nightmare unfold around them while they could only try and make sense of what was happening to them. The poor buggers must replay that day over and over again in their mind. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Yes. Just like 2 pounds of styrofoam. No way it could penetrate the carbon carbon leading edge of the shuttle. It's too soft. Again, intuition says something that phsyics doesn't. But then, how come soft lead can punch a hole in steel? How can a bomb penetrate 10 feet of concrete? Because the energy is concentrated. Those beams get sheared. Their connections get sheared. The beams move laterally - which is bad for a structural member. I recall the second tower to fall had the top leaning. Visibly tilted. And it got worse and worse. Not suddenly but gradually. Like the titanic didn't just sink. It took a couple of hours. And I know, the Titanic breaking in two also had to be a conspiracy. No iceberg could do that. People are taking like the wings are empty Al tubes, forgetting whats inside them. Fuel tanks structural supports and not to mention miles of copper wiring. Even Fox news reported on the "dancing Isreali Mossad agents". Popular Science "couldn't find any validity" to any of the alternative theories? Not one alternative theory holds any inkling of Truth and the Official , the Mainstream theory, is completely true and complete. Is that what you believe?l Are you saying that Mossad was behind the 9/11 attacks? When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Like this?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y57qHmViTOg Watch at about 2;20 into the video and see if that sounds about right. Av fuel mixed with air in the lift shat being ignited could account for what the firefighters experienced. If it were demolition charges then how come the building remained standing for long enough for them to get out and then still apparently hadn't collapsed at the point that they're giving the interview? As for boom, boom, boom, boom, boom what else would you expect to hear as one floor falls on top of the next? You can hear those boom, boom, booms on some of the footage and they sound nothing like demolition charges.
