Political Correctness Wins ... Halloween Canceled
Skyrad replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in Speakers Corner
They did that in UK schools during the 80's. Explains a lot. (And its not improved much since then) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1052542/Another-million-children-banned-competitive-sports-means-nearly-half-pupils-compete.html When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Because they are pensioners, having retired isn't a prerequisite to be counted as an old age pensioner. In the Uk thats 60 for women and 65 for men (I think that its still 60 for women, they may have changed it to 65 too) when you get to that age you are classified as a pensioner regardless of if you are working or not. You get certain privileges such as a free travel pass (I doubt the Queen makes much use of that though) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. I'm very saddened to hear about Dave's passing. A larger than life guy, we jumped together on my FS1 jump (the only time I ever saw him on his belly!) My condolences to those closest to him. Christians - how do you rationalise your belief?
Skyrad replied to nigel99's topic in Speakers Corner
Yea because people who believe in God are crap in a crisis Like these guys? http://veteransprayers.tripod.com/id30.html I'd rather have them next to me in a crisis than you. Wow...Jay, Ron...Look It's happening! Not that I'm suprised... If only we could agree on one world religion, one world government, then we would have peace and harmony. If it ever happens, I would give it about 3.5 years to completely crumble into chaos, misery and war. More likely to convert all the Athesits in the world. Two points, firstly why would any country in its right mind want to integrate with the western banking system at the moment. Unless people failed to notice the western banking system is at the point of collapse. Secondly, the way the Islamic banking system works may comply to the letter of Sharia law it does not comply to the spirt of the law. There is no real difference between charging a fee over a fixed term or applying interest, its simply semantics. While they're at it maybe the Vatican would like to tae on global child protection as well. Having said that maybe the Vatican should go a step further and become the world bank, lets face it they're the only western country that isn't in the financial dodo. You're exactly right. There are dozens of Sharia courts throughout the UK where the interpretation is moderate and in concordance with the laws of the nations. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

In our country age is the criteria for being classed as a pensioner not social class. So yes she and her husband are both pensioners. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

You sound surprised? As I've said right from the start the 'rebels' include a very large dose of Al Qaeda supporters and fighters. So now people are surprised? Anyway Sharia law is about more than lopping off appendages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharia When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Wall Street execs camping out at St. Paul's? They can easily afford nice hotels in London so no need to camp out. when they actually pay themselves. Which is rare. also, they have no problem getting in to sites since most banks have relationships with private tour guides and directly with the best sites to accomadate visiting executives. I doubt the church is closed for them. Must suck to be so full of jealousy. Probably has taken a few years off your life hating as much as you do. It does put a smile on my face though so you are spreading some happiness. Actually it turns out that 9 out of ten of the buggers are going home at night because a) They're champagne socialists, b) They really don't have the courage of their convictions and c) the poor little soldiers of the revolution are getting cold bless 'em.
