  1. That really did make me LOL When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  2. I think that the 'its the second impact that kills you' theory is a myth. The sudden intense hydrolic pressure your vascular system would exerience would blow vasculature in your brain and the rest of your body killing you regardless of if you bounce or not. However I like the lawn dart thing, thats pretty funny. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

  9. I don't in anyway condone this act. But, I can see why the Red Cross was targeted. Its hard to keep up resentment against the western occupation forces if people see an improvement in their day to day lives. Also its even worse if you're a Wahibi Islamic organisation and what appears to be a organisation with a Christian symbol starts gaining favour amoungst the local population. Looks like a strategic strike to the heart of the West's hearts and minds operation, when viewed through Wahibi lense's. 12. 'Come on. These are people that were trying to kill our people.' And thats the problem, you don't know that and can't say that about each person there. Why? because they have not been found guilty. Why? Because they are denied fair due process. Sure go hard on terrorists, but make sure the people you have really are terrorists. As for torture, no it shouldn't be used. However, amnesty international condemed the interrogation of PIRA members captured in NI as torture. I'd disagree stringent tactical questioning is not a problem. Medevil torture is and theres no excuse for it. 24. Sort of got into the habit of putting my car key in my jumpsuit pocket because there was no one to leave it with when I first started jumping at my DZ. The other day (the 13th!) for the first time my mother and father were up at the DZ (Put my mother out on a Tandem for her 62nd birthday) I asked my Dad to look after the key and BINGO!!! First cutaway! Next couple of jumps (Now lucky key in pocket ) and happy as Larry! Don't really like to have a supersition though as it just makes you loose focus and unsettles you if you then forget to do what ever your 'lucky' thing is.
