I think it was LHO. But quite frankly, why give a damn it was a long time ago. As for X rays, they're only as good as the person interpreting them and people often think they are right when they haven't got a clue. Especialy when it comes to ballistics. Comercial pilots in the UK are AGAINST having weapons on board. See the attachment at the top of the posting. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

They also have the most stringent ground based security, and a extra hour check in to do a good job of it. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

So Brit pilots are against having armed sky marshals on board their aircraft. Would it make you feel safer or not? Do you think that they are effective or do you think that airport securty should just be beefed up? Personaly unless they're going to deal with drunk air rage passengers I can't imagine a more boring job. We did this shit back in NI in the 70s. All it did was to fill the ranks of PIRA and the coffers of Sinn Fienn. Guess America will just have to learn the hard way. Ok, so this maybe a dumb question but here goes. I've got an old F111 canopy, a Icurus Beta. ( never met anyone whos even heard of such a thing). I don't know how many jumps its got on it but my guess is somewhere in the region of 'shitloads'. Question is how can you tell when a F111 canopy is past its sell by date? (Answers such as 'All F111's are past their sell by date & 'When you bounce' are not helpful, so unless its sensible do me a favour and don't bother, cheers J) When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Its good news, but I agree it won't change the fact that the resistance will fight on. Why? Because it seems that most of the resistance is from average pissed off Iraqis. It will be harder for the US to claim that its well orchistrated attacks conducted by Sadams Fedayeen. By the looks of him he doesn't look like he's been co-ordinating anything but places to hide. They said his son was co-ordinating the attacks now they're both dead and if anything the attacks have got worse since they were killed. Every time I see another raid has happened by the Americans I see another Iraqi swearing revenge on the Yanks. Most of whom hated Sadam. Hope I'm wrong. As a bullet decelarates it will turn around as the center of gravity establishs itself if fired directly upwards once the momentum runs out. The bullet would tumble end over end as the air resistence underneath built up then turned the bullet to escape, the center of gravity would then take over and so on until inpact. To see this effect look at X rays of GSW victims. The bullet usualy turns around to face the enterance wound as it decelerates inside the body. Often leading inexperienced Drs and Radiographers to look for entrance wounds that do not exist! Interesting, so why does he seem to be so popular with the troops? Looking in from the outside it seems that anyone who critisizes the US Gov these days is labelled a subversive or a traitor. He wasn't the only one that predicted massive casualties. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca

This idea was much discussed on another thread. Sounded like fun until I stopped and gave it some real thought. Still if you do decide to give it a bash let me know I'd love to get it on video. You can find the e-mail at http://www.sftt.org/cgi-bin/csNews/csNews.cgi?command=viewone&id=96&database=Special%20Reports%20Hack%2edb Hackworth claims to have known this man for eight years. The e-mail was picked up by the Independent a reputable British newspaper who then interviewed Hackworth and ran a story on both his views and the e-mail. I have no reason to doubt the authenticity of either the e-mail or doubt Col Hackworths intergrity.
