  1. It seems to me that Bush has created a Northern Ireland situation for America. In NI in the 60's the Catholic community welcomed the British soldiers with cups of tea and hugs because we'd come to protect them. Next thing we knew they saw us as an occupying force and the enemy. The rest is history. It seems history repeats itself and sadly the last coalition soldier hasn't yet died in Iraq, time tells all. Afgahanistan has claimed the lives of four US soldiers and two CIA in the last two weeks alone. With no WMD's found is the price of this war really worth this senario? http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030429/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_shooting&cid=540&ncid=716 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 2. Cool, I got mine made by Bev in Sebastian who make really good quality affordable suits to your personal specs. I also got my rig compleate from a guy at Hinton he was a bit lighter than me and was dowwnsizing but it suits me fine. But when looking in Skydive mag or the USPA mag its a 'mother hubbard' situation for us bigger guys. 3. In Brava its not suprising that most of the people are short. The locals are all below average hight and alot make up for it by having a Spanish macho attitude that would fit an elephant! However I've also noticed that alot of male Skydivers are not all that tall or big, hence it can be difficult to get a decent 2nd hand rig when ones 6:4 and 210 lb. Also a sod to FS with much lighter guys at first unless they're wearing enough lead to sink a battleship and I'm convexed!!!!!!!1 When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 7. Iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world, some 112 billion barrels, second only to Saudi Arabia; with perhaps double that in undiscovered reserves. FRANCISCO CHRONICLE stated: "The world's biggest oil bonanza in recent memory may just be round the corner, giving US oil companies huge profits and American consumers cheap gasoline for decades to come. And it all may come courtesy of a war with Iraq. Once production reaches full capacity the enormous increase in supply could weaken OPEC and shift the balance of power among the world's major producers" (September 29th 2002). The US historian, Professor Michael Klare wrote recently, "If the real motives were made clear-that this is a grab for oil and an attempt to break the back of OPEC -it would make our motives look more predatory than exemplary" (CURRENT HISTORY March 2002). Personal attacks

It was me that said those comments that you took offence to. You may not like it but this war is seen as illegal by most of the world including some of the best legal minds in both the UK and US. Your president wasn't elected by the majority of your nation and gained power through some very dodgy circumstances. It may have escaped your grasp but MY country is also taking part in this war. I support the troops who are out there in a situation that they should never have been put into, but am against the war. My comments are not an attack on the US but on its current overseas policy. As a former serviceman I also followed orders but as a civilian I have the freedom to express my opinions. America isn't the world and you don't have any more right to freedom of speach than I do. I supported the first Gulf war but I don't support this one, if you don't like it thats really just to bad. 12. I hope that young Marine comes home safe and grows to be a old and proud former Marine. However its one thing to fight for ones country. Its another to fight and possibly die in a illegal war for oil, waged by a unelected president. 13. Really I can't belive how childish some people in both the UK and the US are being about the French.I thought that the whole point of both countries and an objective of this war is democracy. Well the French (as are most of Europe and people in the UK) were against the war. So do people really belive in democracy or is it just a case of spoilt brat politics? No personal offence intended. 15. Hi I had a slammer in Spain on a borrowed rig. My head felt like a cannon ball and my neck like a noodle, it was the worst pain I have ever experienced and I thought my head would fall off. I'm also a Diagnostic Radiographer and would totaly reinforce the advice of getting a second opinion. The vast majority of Dr's are compleatly clueless about Skydiving (Many proberbly assume that we fly back up when we deploy!) I had to lay off for a few months and occasionaly get a twinge the day after jumping but that has got lest and less. Yesterday I got a C-spine X-ray to check for early signs of degeneration, it was clear. Don't just take the word of one Dr, they always ere on the side of litigation especialy if they are guessing about the sport. 16. Hearts and minds.....arms and legs in fact bits of innocents everywhere. This will win them over eh? BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least 15 burnt corpses are lying in a poor residential area of northern Baghdad, apparently killed in a U.S.-led air raid on the Iraqi capital on Wednesday, Reuters Television correspondents say. "Apparently two missiles struck apartment blocks," one of the correspondents said from Baghdad's Shaab district on Wednesday. They said they had counted at least 15 bodies lying in a street, where several shops and apartment buildings were badly damaged. Several cars nearby were on fire or smouldering.
