Well thats nice and upbeat, I don't know if its true as I don't live in America. Hope you are right. However I was talking about the state of affairs in the UK. Of course its not all down to religion and people loosing faith but I don't think it helps. God says turn the other cheek, most people here just seem to turn a blind eye. But you can take religion out of the equation and people will just fight about something else, oil, land, politics, race you name it and someone will fight over it. Reread what I wrote and you will see that at no time did I claim to be better than anyone else. Show me anywhere that I've said anything derogatory about atheists. I haven't. If you actualy had read and understood what was written you would have seen that I said that morality and social responsibility can be taught in the home or the school not just in a place of worship. Even a limited understanding of the social issues and contempary criminology in Britan today may have helped you understand the argument that you totaly missed. To judge Ireland and the Irish by the actions of a few terrorists is offensive and is the dangerous type of attitude that labels all Muslims terrorists because of the actions of a few twisted individuals. If people no longer belive in God and an afterlife and moral and social responsibility are not taught in the home or the school then why keep the law? But interesting to note that in England we also have the largest population of unmarried mothers, the highest divorce rate in Europe, are in the middle of a epidemic in sexualy transmitted diseases. Top the league in Europe for STDs. AND have more violent crime in London than in any European city. Kinda makes you think eh? My Ex wife and I had been trying to work things out for a year. I suggested mariage counciling and she wasn't all that keen but went along for a first appointment. After that they lost our details and didn't get in touch for a while. Eventualy SHE gets in touch with them and arranges for a session. I pitch up and the guy says 'So you know what we offer, but how can we help you?' I look at her and ask if she would like to talk first. She says.........'I want you to mediate the end of our relationship so that it doesn't go as badly as last time!' She'd led me to belive that she wanted to work on things, I had no idea thats why we were there! She had some very real issues. I'm taking a friend over to Florida next week to do her AFF. Her nanny hasn't stopped CRYING ever since she found out. OK, this particular one may not be strictly racist but it is Islamaphobic and hate orinentated. I don't belive it for a second either. I was born into a Muslim family and brought up a Muslim. As an adult I became a Christian. I didn't have any problems with any of my family because of it, know why? Because Muslims do not belive that Christians or Jews are 'infidels' or non belivers. In fact unlike Christians who only belive that other Christians will go to heaven Muslims belive that Christians and Jews will go to Paradise/ Heaven. This is because Christians and Jews are classed as 'people of the book'. ie:The Bible. In the Koran it instructs Muslims to belive in the Bible. So either this guy was talking to a uneducated fool or this e mail is a lie. Personaly I belive its a lie created to generate hate, and hate is a tool of the devil.
