Been there....Am there. If they are married and you really care for them walk away. If they're still getting over someone give them time. If they're with someone else get on with living your life secure in the knowledge that 'whats for you won't go by you.' I think that is a ridicules statement when it comes to terrorists. The first so-called terrorist were the IRA. I don’t think there were anti peace and comfort. Terrorist are born out of opposition. One person’s terrorist is anothers freedom fighter. Extremists i agree with 100%. Any Extremists in any cuase is usully a nutjob Make no mistake the IRA are terrorists. But even they ultimately want peace. As everyone does, on their terms. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. How about 28 years of total and complete incompetence in keeping the two parties from getting it on... 1978 was when they first put the UNFIL people in there. And they have kept Hezbollah from doing?????????????????????????????????? Instead Hezbollah continually attack Israel..... and the Israelis take it for years and years.. then have to go in and spray some pest remover over Southern Lebanon. They were four men from different countries there to monitor what was going on not to enforce a peace. Why do you feel the need to infer that Darius' friends are members of Al-Qaida? I guess your buddies are the rapists and murderers in the US forces? One thing I can say I am very proud of is that when 9-11 did happen. There was a thousands of Iranians who held a candle light Vigil for the victims, All you would see and hear were Muslims who said over and over that they do not support such actions. At least the morals of the Muslim Majority are not compromised by there since of brotherehood. And Palistinians and other Arabs, but these critics are selctivly blind and deaf. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/5219360.stm No comments. bsbd! Yuri. Two points, firstly I wonder if like his friend Mr Olmert Mr Ramon has never served as a soldier and therefore talking tugh comes easy when you have not idea of what you're saying. Secondly, Thats not really a suprise since its exactly what the US did with Fallujah. Would you defend them even harder if the basement was full of ammunition and rockets and RPG's??? How about the local church... heck yeah that is a great place to store thousands of pounds of munitions. An even bigger place... all those separate school rooms... man what a storage facility... Sadaam really liked that one. Each room you can segregate your munitions even better. Hospital rooms work well also. Climate controlled... plenty of room.. and the Red Cross on the roof really makes it a safe place to store/park your mobile launchers. Face it.... there are a heck of a lot of people on here who will go out of their way to vilify anything the jews do...and I will be the first one to admit I will not support all of the crap they are pulling.... BUT they are in a very tough situation.... a few million of them... against over a few hundred million people who want to see every last one of them dead.. because of who they are. When your enemy will give you no peace.. no matter HOW much time and effort you put into it... then you only have the option of WAR. This is simply not true. Hammas is happy to talk with Israelis and actually are. Dont belive me? Then phone them and ask them. Press release May 31, 2006 Gush Shalom breaking the ice towards Hamas Avnery during meeting with legislator Sheikh Abu-Tir - in Jerusalem: "We firmly oppose Olmert's attempt to expel you from Jerusalem!" Former Knesset Member Uri Avnery, a leading member of Gush Shalom (the Israeli Peace Bloc), met with Sheikh Muhammad Abu-Tir, Hamas Member of the Palestinian Legislative council from Jerusalem. The meeting took place at Abu-Tir's home at Zur Baher Neighbourhood in East Jerusalem. Avnery expressed total opposition to the intention of the Olmert Government to expel Abu-Tir and three other elected Parliamentarians from their Jerusalem homes. On Monday this week, the four had been summoned to the Jerusalem police headquarters and presented with an ultimatum to resign from their parliamentary positions - failure to do which would result in deprivation of their Jerusalem residency status and enable the government to deport them from their homes. Avnery told Abu-Tir that Gush Shalom calls for the immediate opening of negotiations between the Israeli and Palestinian governments, with no preconditions and on the basis of stopping all violent acts on both sides. Avnery stated further: "I was a Knesset member at the time when East Jerusalem was annexed to Israel. I can testify that no intention was expressed at the time to reduce the inhabitants of East Jerusalem to the status of 'permanent residents', as if they were newly-arrived immigrants asking for an Israeli residence permit which can be revoked at will. Since Palestinians have lived in Jerusalem for fifty generations at least, this is both ridiculous and a grave injustice". Avnery added: "No less ridiculous is the attempt to boycott the elected, Hamas-headed Palestinian government, which was democratically elected by the Palestinian people". Adam Keller, Gush Shalom Spokesperson, expects that soon a large delegation of Israeli peace movements will meet with the Hamas leadership, in order to build up an initial basis for dialogue. He mentioned that Avnery had been the first Israeli to meet with Yasser Arafat, and said: "We have played that role then, and it seems we have to do it again." Keller reminded that Shimon Peres, on behalf of the Government of Israel when signing the Oslo Agreements, took the formal obligation not to interfere with Palestinian institutes in East Jerusalem and with the right of Palestinian Jerusalemites to elect and be elected to the Palestinian legislature. "How can we demand of the Palestinian Government to respect signed agreements, and at the same time ourselves tread them underfoot?" Keller asked. What does it matter? You can't see a uniform from an F16 at 10000ft anyway. The Israelis don't give a shit they just want to kill Lebanese and Palastinians. if these state sponsored terrorists don't respect the uniforms of UN soldiers why would they care about Lebanese uniformed or not. Yeah Turkey is one of the more moderate ones. Not by any means as peaceful as UAE though. But I seem to recall that there was a difference with them from the start, something about an Ottaman Empire. I saw in some history channel special that Mohammed was illiterate and the Koran was written by people he preached to 25 years after his death. For that reason it split into different views with similarities amongst the people he preached to. I find a lot of this history fasinating and worth being studied. But you have to admit there is currently no equivalent (of a non-Islamic religion) in the world to Hamas, Hizbollah or Al Queda. These groups are the greatest threat to the world currently. I can admit to the flaw in my arguement that Islam will ALWAYS make terrorists. But can you explain why Islam is the only religion that will endorse terrorists. As for Hitler, I heard he was actually half Jewish. And while he was trying to annihilate Jews, the Catholic Orphanages were taking Jewish orphans in and raising them "Catholic" to save their lives. I know, personally, Polish Jews who were saved this way. They never really converted to Catholism and the Catholics who saved them did not intend for that to be the case. Now, to suggest that because there was some Christian teaching that Hilter had, that Christianity could somehow be responsible for his actions is proposterous. , Its late here and so I won't reply to each point just now but you misunderstand my point. I wasn't suggesting that Christianity was responsible for the crimes of Hitler, the point I was trying to make was that just becasue a person belives that God is on his side 'Got mit uns' doesn't mean that he really is following the principles of the faith that he claims to belong to no matter what he belives. I'd just like to take this opportunity to publicly appologise to JohnRich. I made a post on this thread that some of you may have seen (which was deleted following a complaint) in which I made a lame atempt at a joke. It was not taken as such and I publicly appologise to JohnRich for insinuating that he was the sniper in question. I do not doubt that JohnRich had absolutly nothing to do with this incident and I am sure that he was in no way involved and most likely wasn't even near the area at the time. John please accept my sincere appologies. I did not mean to upset you and it was both irresponsible of me to imply that you may have been the nut case involved. Actually I have nothing against Christian, Agnostic or Aethiest arabs. On the contrary I have quite a few good freinds like that. Three of them I can think of that I work with are from Lebanon and a couple from Syria. I feel sorry for them because I know many of them have family that could be blown up as we speak. But just as well I feel sorry for freinds in Tel Aviv. And more importantly, I understand who started it and on whose territory it started. , So its just Muslims you view as Untermenschen. Thanks for the clarification. Have you never read any of my posts before? Actually I will go one step further and say its not fair to blame all Muslims, because most of them were born into this faith as opposed to having chosen it. Women who don't follow it are more likely to receive and "honor killing" than anything else. As a true Muslim, I suspect you don't need me to explain the "honor killings". Now to finally state my opinion, I blame Islam. I think its a psychotic religion/cult that will always come back to violence and I believe that until it is irradicated there will be wars over religion. Now so that you know in advance, I will not spend the rest of my day responding to posts of people trying to dig back 1000 years something they can blame Christians for. And just as well I will not respond to somebody mentioning something horrific that was done by somebody who was just randomly raised is another faith. I am obviously addressing opinions voiced by clerics who speak for a religion, kind of like the Mosque from Jersey City, NJ that funded the 1993 world trade center bombing or the prime minister of Iran calling for the destruction of Israel or the Iatola calling for the execution of Salmon Rushbee because he was offended by his book or the violence in Denmark over the cartoons, I mean the list just goes on and on. I just don't have enough time to play this game again. , , Hitler did what he did in the firm belife that he was a Christian and was caring out Gods will. I could go onto name dozens of others but I hope you get the point. People of every religion have used God to justify the most terrible of acts. No doubt you'll find some reference from the Koran to 'prove' what a blood thirsty bunch the Muslims are, and I could pull out dozens of references from the Bible to counter the point. Islam isn't the problem any more than Christianity or Judaism is. The problem is a Socio economic, political one which varies regionally. With Israel there is alot of issues on both sides. To blame it all on Islam is ridculous and lazy at best. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca -

It's EVery bit as bad. Using civilians as a human shield is surely an absolute. to go a bit further, I'd say it was WORSE. Firstly because while Hamas & Hezb'Allah may use folk as willing human shields, the Israelis kidnap civilians arbitrarily for the same purpose. Secondly, It utterly destroys Israel's claims to any moral right in this conflict. The use of human shields & hostages places Israel right there with Saddam Hussein and Nazi Germany. A significant degree worse than any terrorist organisation which has the support (or at least co-operation) of the people in which it operates. Mike. He doesn't belive that Muslim life has the same value as Jewish or Christian life thats why he doesn't think its as bad. He views Muslims as Untermenschen just as the Israeli govenrment and soldiers do. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Come on, in the first picture it looks as though they're arresting/detaining somebody - not hiding behind him. Surely you can see that. The second picture, well, without context it looks pretty foul. - Jim View the previous links and you will see that the first picture is actually of a Palastinian being used as a human shield.
