  3. It seems that the analysis is an extrapolation of the current economy coupled with an analysis of which economic obligations the US governnent has contracted to various demographic groups. His result is that the current social and economic policies are mutually incompatible with a national bankruptcy as the ultimate consequence. Now, I don't know where to file this. Is it a bunch of right wing neo-con ramblings, or is he just a pinko-commie Bush-hating intellectual/liberal? 43 Trillion in the red.... Hmmm Sounds like a wee problem to me. The US just needs to find 43Trillion dollars worth of oil and all will be well (or should that be oil well) Just kidding but yes I'm glad I'm not living in the US right now because its just a matter of time now before the bubble bursts. 4. Sorry, my mistake. No I wouldn't go and see this particular exhibition either. Two bodies were alegedly found to have been shot. Political prisoners. No way. 5. I went to see it in London. Far from being morbid I found it fascinating. There was no smell as the bodies are plasticinated. From a anatomical perspective the exhibits were very interesting. The funniest thing was that in the comments book underneath lots of pretentious comments on the exhibition someone had simply written... I see dead people. I would recommend this exhibition to anyone execpt the recently bereaved and women who've had abortions. As for disrespectful to the dead I disagree, unlike some other exhibitions Dr Gunter Von Hagen only uses the bodies of volunteers of which there are hundreds. 6. It's not like it hasn't happened before. As a gun nut and a cop (or soon to be) I figured you would have known that.... You make him sound like officer Tacklberry! 7. So, you think the US is good enough to have Hizbollah start firing rockets at Israel? Sounds like a first for you. Send beer money to the Blue Sky Ranch, Gardiner, New York. I'll toast you at least once, maybe even twice ps - a case of green bottles cost USD $40. I don't think it would take much imagination to figure out Hizbollahs response if Israel started bombing Lebanon. So yep, I recon it was a deliberate escalation. 18. Of course, the fact that Iran is the founder, and financial backer of Hizbollah. Hizbollah wouldn't dream of heeling to Iran at all. I'll say it too. Iran is an enemy of the US. They proved it to us by their own actions during the revolution and the taking of hostages. We didn't respond, they viewed us as weak. Our failed attempts to respond were also perceived as weak. http://www.afa.org/magazine/jan1999/0199desertone.asp Yes the failed attempt was percived as weak, but never the less it was America's response, and it was a total disaster. Also, you can't compare peri revolutionary Iran with todays Iran its as different as comparing America of then with America of now. 19. What you've said has certainly crossed more than a few minds, including my own. Skyrad, do you think Diana was murdered? I really don't know. I'm not in possesion of enough of the facts to make a call on that. However, I do have a open mind on it and wouldn't be suprised if she was. 20. The UK won't go to war against the Iranians, Tony Blair would be commiting Political suicide. The British people simply wouldn't go along with it. He fooled alot of people with Iraq he won't be able to do it again. As for America, its sabre rattling lacks substance. The American millitary would not be able to sustain any kind of war against Iran. 1) America can't afford it. 2) The American people wouldn't accept the losses such a war would bring. 3) The Iranians wouldn't just role over they'd fight and its alot bigger and alot more cohesive than Iraq, it would also drg Syria into a war against the US. Without the UK and others the US wouldn't be able to provide the manpower to undertake such a war. Along with its other current commitments. Thats why the US willl use the Israelis to attack Iran under the guise of 'self defence' When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 21. I strongly suspect that the war on the Lebanon is simply a pre cursor to Israeli attacks on Irans Nuclear facilities. I suspect that this was the game plan all along. I also suspect this is a White House inspired idea as America can't be seen to do the job itself. Yet Isreal can if it looks like its self defence. Just wait and see. 22. You showed a photo of an AR-15 type firearm. The world knows those to be almost exclusively in caliber .223. Yet yours was an exception to the rule in puny .22 rimfire, and you didn't bother to tell anyone that. You intentionally omitted that information to make people believe something that wasn't true - that the citizens of England can own standard AR-15 rifles. You should have been more forthcoming and specific to prevent confusion, and you are entirely responsible for your own misrepresentation. You're trying to get away from the point that your statement was inaccurate. The weapon shown is simply a semi auto long that is legal in the UK. 23. How much longer are you going to whine about this? They're down nationwide in similar amounts. Chicago ain't nothing special in that regard. Oh, by the way, your original comparison was to LAST YEAR. So once again, you are using trickery and deceipt to avoid answering the question: HOW MUCH ARE HOMICIDES DOWN IN CHICAGO SINCE LAST YEAR? This is the 4th time I've asked now. Try once again to provide an honest answer. I know you can do it if you really, really focus. I think it's quite interesting that the anti-gun folks like you and Skyrad have to resort to trickery and deceipt in your arguments, because the facts just aren't on your side. Readers: beware. Anti gun folk I'm far from anti gun. i'm for responsible use and control. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. 24. While I'm all for healty even heated debate, this thread strikes me as a hate filled waste of bandwidth, I'm suprised it hasn't been locked. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. Lucius Annaeus Seneca
  25. Oh, I see. So you like to deceive people, just like kallend, by providing info that seems to indicate one thing, when in fact something completely different is actually the truth. kallend likes to lead people to believe that there is some great DOWNward trend in murder in Chicago, when in fact it's down only .002%, and is still one of the worst cities in the nation. And you like to lead people to believe that you can own a standard caliber semi-auto AR-15 in England, when in fact you can't, and it's not much more than just a toy gun, in .22 rimfire. You guys are made for each other. kallend: meet Skyrad. Skyrad: meet kallend. LOL... You crack me up. I can't be held responsible for others misinterpretations. After all, you're not the only person who knows about firearms John. What makes you think that others don't also know what calibre the weapon is? As for the toy gun jibe, it just shows your irresponsible attitude to lethal weaponary.
