on refelection I'd even go so far as to say it is a good thing that the BNP got a seat. The reason behind my thinking is that A) with one seat they can do no real harm and it keeps them involved in the political process which is a lot better than giving up and just turning to the wholescale violence of the far right of the 70/80s B) Hopefully it will be a wake up call for the Conservatives who currently occupy the midle ground whilst appearing leftist and wishy washy leaving a political gap on the right in which the BNP can only hope to gain from.
