Oh well... but at least I would always have the story of the time I partied with aliens for two days in Vegas. (Well, except that I probably wouldn't remember much of it. )

I'd invite the aliens to go to Vegas with me for some Vegas-style partying. After two days of partying with ME (and a few of my rowdy friends), they wouldn't want to blow up the earth anymore because they would think humans are cool.

Yeah, that's a good point... I suppose in reality, I wouldn't be able to do that to my family. Even though they might appreciate all of the money I would be leaving them, I seriously doubt they would want it in exchange for my death. (Well, I hope not anyway!)

That is cool... Rich has a clownfish tank with xenia and zooanthids and live rock, and a separate coral tank... I didn't know what the butterflyfish was, so I just looked it up - they are pretty. This site had a neat picture of one of their skeletons: http://www.artbyevolution.com/fish.htm

Wow, a 120 will be nice! What are you planning on having in the tank? I'm not a reefer myself, but my husband is. He was also wondering how many other skydiving/reefers there are... I guess they're both sort of expensive hobbies, so some people might have to choose between the two...

This is definitely my biggest issue with the sport right now. I've had at least one VERY close call with someone who was on a small canopy (too high-performance for his abilities) that he had absolutely NO business trying to land in a crowded landing area. I really don't care if someone wants to risk their own life, but the problem is that most of these people do not realize that they are putting others in danger too. This is the only reason I would like to see more regulation... Whether it is a wingloading BSR or simply a requirement that swoopers have a different landing area far away from the non-swoopers, or that they be required to pass a proficiency test before being allowed to land in the same area with the non-swoopers. (But really the two different landing styles don't seem to work very well together.)

That sounds like a good reason... It's something I've thought a lot about too, but haven't made that decision yet... I do eat a lot less meat than I used to though, now that I am married to a vegetarian. I don't like tofu all that much either, BUT I have had some really good tofu dishes at Thai restaurants - especially Tofu Pad Thai and fresh spring rolls with chunks of tofu in them. I do think it's all about the spices and how it is cooked...

Oh, I thought about it... My answer is still yes. And just for clarification, I'm not a very materialistic person. I don't spend any time wishing I had more money or anything like that. I don't think that money would buy happiness... And my answer would be different if I had children or if I was still pretty young. (Well, I'm not that old now, but I am already feeling the effects of excessive mileage ;-) It doesn't really matter though... somehow I doubt that it's a decision I'll ever have to make...

I believe soy protein is a good meat alternative. Some of the soy products are gross, but I LOVE Yves Veggie Ground Round. I use it to make all kinds of stuff: tacos, spaghetti, "meat"loaf, pretty much anything that would normally call for ground beef... and I can hardly tell that it is not really meat. I also really like the soy breakfast sausages, and I sometimes put the soy pepperoni on homemade pizzas. I've tried the soy hotdogs and bologna, but I didn't like either of those too much. Just curious, why do you want to give up meat?

I was awake when I had mine done, but I was sort of "out of it" ;-) They had told me that I could bring a CD, but I forgot to bring one... so they were playing Beethoven loudly in the background... It was very trippy and Clockwork Orange-ish. The sound of the drill or saw, or whatever it was, mixed with Beethoven... made for a very interesting soundtrack...
