My last name stays put too.

Yeah, it's been that long... He was a great musician... an amazing guitarist.

One year ago today... http://www.mtv.com/bands/d/damageplan/qa_feature_120805/

I relate to John Lennon the most - his artistic side, but not really his political/activist side. But I think that they are all great musicians, and I love the stuff that they did as the Beatles quite a bit more than I love any of the stuff that they did on their own.

I spent one summer in England, and they didn't have Dr. Pepper anywhere... But then one day I went in this little shop/post office out in the country and saw that they had Dr. Pepper in the fridge, so of course I had to get one... And it tasted HORRIBLE - not anything like the DP over here.

That's cool... It does sound like it would be fun at times. I've always thought that I was incapable of teaching anything to anyone (I tend to catch on to some things easily, but then I'm unable to explain those things to other people). But this past year in school, for some reason I have had a lot of people ask me for help with things... And because I really wanted to help them, at times I have forced myself to figure out a way to explain things... And I have really enjoyed it when I was actually able to help someone (but frustrated when I couldn't help them)... So that has made me wonder if I would enjoy tutoring. At my school, there is a semester-long tutor training class that I would have to take before I could do any tutoring, so I'm trying to decide before the next semester starts. Thanks for all the input!

Yes, Dr. Pepper is definitely better than Coke or Pepsi. But I still don't want any freakin' coffee mixed in with it...

King Kong is one of the hottest stories / sexiest movies ever made... so yes, I will have to see the new one.
-
Hmm, I'm not that interested in being a sex tutor... I prefer men who know what they're doing... Now, if they need a little guidance to know what _I_ like, then I can help them out there... but for the most part, they need to know what's up.
-
Yeah, I can relate to that... So, did it seem like there was an equal number of students who honestly wanted to learn the material? Or were there more students who weren't really that interested?
-
Hmm, actually I don't think I ever do that... Ok, well maybe on the rare occasion, but it's not a common thing for me to do.

Have you ever worked as a tutor, or had tutoring while you were in school? I'm thinking of doing some part-time tutoring at my school, but I've never done anything like that and I've never used a tutor, so I'm just curious if anyone has any experience either way...

Yes, I love wikipedia too. It is one of my most-visited sites. I use it a lot for school, or for just looking up all kinds of random stuff.
-
Believe it or not, I actually am, most of the time...

"Whatever gets you through the night, it's alright, it's alright..." Well, sometimes that's my philosophy, but not always... Actually, the quote in my current sig line is something that has been important to me lately, though I can't explain exactly why...

What is the sludge mix? Is it the sugary, syrupy stuff that goes in those drinks?
-
No. Remster is a maneater. There. Now you can say you have been called this before.

I like Coke, and I like coffee, but this just sounds gross... http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051207/bs_nm/food_cokeblak_dc

Oh, and if you're into making your own tea, here is a recipe for one that tastes like the chai tea I already mentioned: http://yogayoga.com/home/yogitea It's even better than the store-bought stuff, but I'm usually too lazy to make it.
-
I have been trying to turn myself into a tea-drinker, but I haven't found many teas that I like the taste of. I did buy one recently that is really good though; it's a spiced black tea, Kashmiri Chai from Honest Tea: http://www.honesttea.com/teas/teabags/chai.html I bought it at the regular grocery store, so it's probably not hard to find. And I prefer to put a little vanilla soy milk in it to make it more sweet.

I haven't heard that song in ages, love it though. I only got to see him play live one time... But that song makes me think, Hmm, that's life for you... The guy overcomes a serious alcohol problem, only to get killed in a helicopter crash a few years later.

Yeah, that was my biggest concern about it - the deductible is so high that the house would need to be nearly destroyed to make it worthwhile, and that's not all that likely out here . (And that earthquake so close to us yesterday made me wonder if I'm wrong about that.) Also, I heard stories of people in Hurricane Katrina who had flood insurance that didn't do anything for them, so I'm curious how good these natural disaster-type insurance policies really are???

Well I just pick out the research studies that tell me what I want to hear, and those are the ones that I choose to believe. Oh, and moderation is for wussies.
