  1. I can see that it would be offensive to some people, but I don't think the term "nigger" was a good comparison, because I think "nigger" is probably more offensive to a larger percentage of the people that it would be applied to. Perhaps the term "girl" when referring to a woman would be a more apt comparison, since there are many women who would be offended by this, but not necessarily the majority.
  2. Probably not, if Kinsey's findings were correct. Using the Kinsey Scale, he found that few people were a pure 0 or 6. Yeah, you probably are weird, but that's not a bad thing.
  3. And there is my favorite, the , because I have a thing for monkeys.
  4. Ok, I'm sure you are correct that there are people repulsed by watching men kissing (myself and most everyone I know _not_ included), but I'm not sure what your point is(?) People are repulsed by all sorts of strange things. Perhaps anyone who is repulsed by watching men kissing should avoid watching movies/tv shows that are obviously going to show such things, and avoid hanging out in gay bars as well. But as far as gay guys being affectionate with each other in public, well they (should) have the same right to do that that heterosexuals have, so if that is repulsive to you then you can always look away. Though I do think that finding something like two men kissing (which is realistically harmless to you) to be "repulsive" would be classified as a phobia, and therefore to say that someone who is "repulsed" by two men kissing is homophobic would be technically correct. ("Repulsed" is a pretty strong word, but that was the word that you chose to use. If you had said "I would prefer not to watch," or something more along those lines, then I wouldn't think of it as a phobia.) And most phobias can be overcome by gradual exposure to the particular aversion, so watching shows such as "Six Feet Under" could probably help someone get over that phobia (if they wanted to).
  5. Are you able to watch/listen to it from here: http://www.spiritcaller.net/lotion.htm? Oh put the lotion in the fucking basket, bitch...
  6. And I just have to post the lyrics because they are so funny:
  7. It rubs the lotion on its skin... or else it gets the hose again... I just can't get this song out of my head... It is so freakin' funny! Yes, precious, it gets the hose...
  8. Better than being a wussie boy. And who the hell is funks or artistcallidien?
  9. Hmm... but phytoplankton are cuter. Jeeves says the dominant species is the car.
  10. Ok, so I give bad advice. But don't worry, Lisa knows better than to listen to me. And no, emoticons are not acceptable literary devices for english composition nowadays, but I do have a difficult time writing without them.
  11. I thought that was the cockroach. Is it the cockroach? I was thinking that the ant was the dominant species, but of course I'm not a professor.
  12. Are you crazy? That sounds like way too much work. Essays should never be started until about 10PM the night before they are due. Make a pot of coffee, stay up until it's finished, that's all you have to do...
  13. And some of these people even help the selection process by realizing that they shouldn't have children.
  14. Ok, I'm kinda slow... but I just heard this song for the first time, and loved it... I never saw the movie, but the book was great. Oh, and the original link no longer works, but this is the one that Rich sent me: http://www.spiritcaller.net/lotion.htm

    I GOT A JOB

    Hey, congratulations, Keith!
  16. Ok........ So what kind of work do you do??
  17. Emotions do seem to serve a purpose in surviving because they contribute to how we relate to each other, our motivation to do certain things, our perception of what is right or wrong, etc. Humans probably have complex emotions because we have complex nervous systems, which have likely evolved that way because they helped us to survive in our environment. Other organisms that survive well with less complex nervous systems probably have less complex emotions as well.
  18. A lot of humans are that way too. And dogs do have emotions, from what I can tell; they seem to be happy or sad at times, and they do seem to form emotional attachments to certain people and/or other animals.
  19. And of course, since I was just about to go ship a christmas package to my mom, I had to print that out and tape it to the side of the box.
  20. I love that one! I had a big print-out of it hanging on my fridge last Christmas... Hmm, must break out the xmas decorations!
  21. That sucks, Lori! I remember your Mustang, but I didn't know it had been totaled. Glad to hear you weren't hurt any worse than that! (Though 6 months of neck pain isn't too much fun. ) And I remember when those stop signs were put up. I almost ran one too, because the road was sort of dark and I wasn't expecting a stop sign to be there.

    I wish

That's funny, I came so close to replying with that answer too... but then I decided to be nice and not say it.
