I think you're gonna like it... I think you're gonna feel like you belong...

Boo fucking hoo! Get over it! What the fuck did they expect!!!!!!

I agree. I don't see any kind of discrimination in this case, based on the information in the article. -
Porn??? I've never even heard of porn!

Me too... Although I assume that the green or red people can see what I am doing anyway...

If sex is an obligation in a marriage, then that should be established from the start (in the vows). If it is not an obligation, then perhaps an open marriage should be considered, because natural monogamy is somewhat rare.

Hey, I thought we were pretty intimate that one time that I cleaned your blood off of a canopy. Loser...

Hiya! Back off, Studs. The line starts BEHIND me. Don't worry, I'll keep a list of all of you who want to service Rich when my libido is low.
-
Exactly... and I think that differences in sexual desire is a good reason for (responsible) open relationships.

Sure... If you're in to symbolism, you can find just about anything in Exodus (or the rest of the bible).

Of course not! It was just a poem, just like "Footprints in the Sand." Watson and Crick are nutjobs; I wouldn't believe anything that they had to say.

Sudsy likes for them to be too weak to run away from him.

No, I do not jest, and stop calling me Shirley. Science would be more fun with poetry, such as "The Waltz of the Ribosomes" by Greg Crowther: (Ok, so it's not the best science poem in the world, but it's the best I could do with a quick search.)

Hey, now Judge Judy might actually be a good choice! And I think that science teachers should be required to recite "Footprints in the Sand." It's a great poem, even if you don't believe in the Heavenly Dude. And there is too much "science" going on in science classes nowadays; a nice poem now and then would break up the monotony.

This is true... And I think it applies to most other things in life as well.

We get a ton of kids in our neighborhood too, if we have our lights on. This year, we didn't buy any candy so the lights are off. But this is the first place I've lived as an adult that I have had many trick-or-treaters. It's also the first place I've lived that was in "suburbia" (yikes!) so that probably has a lot to do with it. (I think we're the only household in the whole neighborhood that doesn't have children!)

I am doing laundry and studying for a test that I have tomorrow. I have the front light off because I never got around to buying candy to hand out to the kids...

Summed up perfectly. Unfortunate but true, and now it's happening in BASE. Oh no! Not the old argument about who is a skydiver and who is not (or who is a BASE jumper and who is not)!

Cannt make this shit up - Obesity Caused by virus
Shotgun replied to shropshire's topic in Speakers Corner
That's a good point... But some viruses are endemic to specific places, so it's possible that this virus does not affect people in other parts of the world. I don't know... I seriously doubt that a virus is the main cause of obesity for most people, but I do think it's a possibility for some people. (Hmm, I'm posting in a thread that I said I was giving up on - I hate it when people do that. ) -
That is horrible, Gia. I don't even know what to say except that I'm glad to hear he was not hurt worse, and I am definitely sending vibes for a speedy recovery and that the police will catch whoever did this. Take care, Keely

Thanks for clearing that up. Your original post did sort of sound that way, but I'll believe you that that was not your intention. Actually, this thread has not been too bad in comparison to most threads on here regarding obesity (most of them I just stop reading after a few posts because they have nothing constructive to offer). As for the "crap science," I think they may actually have some valid evidence, and at least I learned something from this thread because it caused me to read a lot more about that particular virus and similar viruses (an interesting subject). -

As I mentioned in the other post, he died a few years ago, so I doubt that what he weighs now is of much importance. And I think I'll join Rhonda on this one and give up. I usually try not to post in these "Hey let's bash fat people!" threads, but the virus thing caught my attention and I thought it might actually turn into an interesting conversation (how silly of me)... -

Well now that doesn't sound like a very smart thing to do. -

Most people who I know are fully aware that eating less and exercising more is usually the way to lose weight; it's not rocket science, after all. And while most people can lose weight by eating less and exercising more (including myself), it doesn't work for everyone. One of my best friends died from a heart attack a few years ago. In the ten years that I knew him, I watched him struggle with his weight constantly. He never made any excuses or blamed anyone else for his weight problem. He exercised regularly and had a healthier diet than most people I know, and he was definitely not a lazy person. Yet for some reason, he could not lose much weight. And there I was, eating anything that I wanted to and never gaining a pound (though that has changed in the last couple of years)... Just because something works for one person, or even for the majority of people, does not mean that it will work for everyone. If the only way for a certain person to lose weight would be an unhealthy way, then there wouldn't seem to be much point in losing the weight. -

I don't know, but I would imagine that it depends on how much an infant is overfed. And I would imagine that having an excess number of permanent fat cells would make it a lot harder to keep weight off as an adult.
