  1. I don't think you would have ever been happy with this discussion unless everyone agreed with your point of view. Bankers are not my favorite. I realize bankers have a certain degree of blame for the debt problems society finds itself in. But as guilty as bankers are for the credit crunch society is in, the people taking on more debt than they could handle also need to take some responsibility. The solution to society's debt problems is not to just add new debt as you appear to be calling for. What do you think we are, the US government? ROFLMAO. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Really? You told us you have 270k in debt on a condo worth 200k. I realize the value of your condo has gone down and this was out of your control. For this you have my sympathy. But you are in a negative equity position and yet you can buy a new car right now without needing to finance it. Buy what a $500 beater? If you have money sitting around you should get yourself back into a positive equity position. I realize there are penalties to pay down mortgages early (trust me I realize banks really fuck us over in this regard). But so far this is not what we are hearing from you. What we are hearing is that you want banks to lower the already agreed upon contract you have with them to allow you to buy new stuff on credit all in the name of saving society. Want to help society? Don't be dependent on society. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. The humorous thing in this whole thread is that you want to save society by forcing the banks to give you low interest loans so that you can add to or maintain your existing debt levels. I am no saint. I have used credit in the past when I should have saved more before my puchases. But once in debt, I tried to pay off my debts as soon as I could. I did not whine that banks were not lowering my interest charges so that I could add to or maintain my existing debts all in the name of helping society. Want to help society? You can help society by not being dependent on it. Society is in the mess it is because far too many people (and governments) have run up far too much debt. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Oh don't you love our societal martyrs. In the first post the Shah was telling us "if he could only refinance it would free up $500/month which would allow himself to buy a new vehicle". For someone who already is in what I would call huge debt, he does not want to use the possibility of lower interests rates to lower his debt. No he wants to use it to maintain his debt levels so that he can buy something new. The justification of his argument is that he would be helping society by buying a new vehicle. Well maybe my math is wrong, but I have always been in the mindset that I would be better off in society if I was not in debt or if my debt levels were low enough to weather bad economic storms when they came. Not everyone can afford to buy a home or a vehicle with cash. I know I could not. But my primary goal once I added debt, was to look for ways to pay off my debt. I did not look for ways to add to or maintain my debt levels. Everyone needs to be looking for ways to reduce their debts, not maintain them for future "martyrdom" purchasing opportunities. 5. Well the Big 12 should really be called the Big 10 as the Big 10 are now a Big 12. At least the old Pac-10 calls themselves the Pac-12. Confusing times in the NCAA especially if the Aggies were to join the SEC. But yeah I see how the Longhorns could think they own the conference. The only way to deal with this arrogance is to beat them on the field. I have always been neutral towards Texas (never liked them, never hated them). It was always Nebraska that I hated (haha the Buffs suck now but they were good when I lived in Boulder). But I might have to adopt an anybody but Texas attitude this season. Then again now that the Buffs are in the Pac-12 and no longer rivals with the Huskers, do I really care about the Big 12 (or should I say the Big 10) ... as I said confusing times. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Well, Texas A&M is courting the SEC to get out from the burning hulk of a former conference that the Big 12 is turning out to be. The SEC didn't make a formal offer, but are waiting for TAMU to SECede from the Big 12 first... That's sort of a big change. Say it ain't so. Don't they like beating up on Baylor every year? 7. You really do get upset when people put down your idol don't you. The thoughts of censorship must be strong on your mind since things are not going your way are they. Face it, the guy was created by Hollywood. He had zero leadership experience. He may be the world's best teleprompter orator, but he is totally clueless when his teleprompter goes on the fritz. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9Z2Cnr6PSs Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. That was pretty much the perfect wingsuit jump. You really would not want to go much lower. Of course it looks like he did land on his rears. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Fast forward to 3:48 and/or 4:16 to see the intense part of my video if you do not want to watch the whole thing. By the way I am not the crazy mofo walking on my hands and if I told you who it was I would have to kill you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIhpQLIs3qM Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. That's your opinion. My opinion differs. I was not alive during the Second World War, but from everything I know about that time in human history, life today is a walk in the park compare to the shit that was going on then. Go back anytime in human history and you will see a lot of bad things happening. That is not to say that life in our modern world is easy. But whoever told you that life would be easy, was clearly lying to you. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. Ron Paul is not perfect. But he pretty much is the only one who makes sense in Washington these days. If the GOP reject him, they deserve to lose to the Nobel Peace Prize winning messiah superhero savior of the Universe. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. Too bad you did not catch the second paragraph of the post where I stated (my opinion of course since I was not alive several hundred or several thousands years ago) that despite us being totally screwed in our present democratic society, that we are still better off than people who lived before us. It could have saved you a whole bunch of typing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMEe7JqBgvg Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Democracy is proving to be an utter failure. Why do I say this? Because politicians are only making empty promises we want to hear to get themselves elected and most of these empty promises that the people want are simply not sustainable. Of course, Democracy is still better than pretty much all other forms of government. We are so screwed ... except that most generations before us from a few centuries or millennia were screwed even more than we are screwed. So we might as well enjoy being screwed, but still know that were are not as screwed as other generations before us. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. I am sure lefties don't like Ron Paul (even though he sometimes calls for things lefties are asking for). But I am hoping Ron Paul comes out on top. However I fear that he just makes too much sense for the GOP to accept him and of course in the eyes of the Left Barack Obama is still their messiah, the superhero savior of the Universe. 15. I doubt that will come out. After all, Kermit is a puppet and puppets don't eat. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. It may be old news, but it is still good news that there is a shred of reality that still exists down at the Sesame Street Workshop that their two characters "Bert and Ernie" are NOT gay and instead remain nothing more than puppets used to entertain pre-school children. Anyone who refuses to accept that "Bert and Ernie" are nothing more than puppets need to check themselves into their closest funny farm for further examination. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. Do Bert and Ernie qualify as freakazoids? They are men of color and well they are puppets. They have not yet personally come out of the closet, but there is no shortage of people who are demanding that the creators of Bert and Ernie have them enter into a same sex marriage ... despite as I repeat ... they are nothing more than puppets. So therefore Bert and Ernie must also be freakazoids. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. That is impressive. I regret to say that not being current has prevented myself from following the competitive swooping scene these last few years. I have been busy doing this and this which offers a similar adrenaline rush to swooping. But they are far less likely to bite me in the rear end regarding lack of currency. As great as swooping is, you really need to be ultra current to be flying the bed sheets. I know Nick has been going horizontal on his distance runs for a few years now, but I see he has influenced others and they are trying to emulate him as well. But Nick does appear to have the technique down better than most. It must suck to be a real Big Boy these days in the distance swooping event as their bellies are too big and their ballast must get all messed up if they could even rotate horizontally the way Nick rotates. Keep up the good work guys. As I said, very impressive. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Last time I checked Sarah Palin changed careers and now was making her fortune working in the media. If this is good enough for the Hollywood elite (not to mention the NY elite) then it should "fly" with the public. If Ms Palin's sudden fortune is an issue, then I sure hope hypocrisy is remembered because I see plenty of people in Hollywood (not to mention professional athletes) running around with insane fortunes. 20. Did he point a weapon at the police and/or was he holding a weapon and refused to obey their orders for him to disarm himself? If yes, then he got exactly what he deserved. Once again, cops are not my favorite people. But I sure do not want to live in a society where the only time cops are allowed to defend themselves is after the criminals have fired the first shot. That remains as yet unknown to the public. The Calgary public (the city I live in) has no proof that the man killed by the police the other night threatened them with a screw driver like the police have alleged through the media. We have to take their word that what they said, happened. But we are not tearing apart our city as the result of this latest killing. In fact there was not even a protest. Yes different culture, different mindset (oh and anyone who says Calgary is a city for whites only has never set foot here. We have people from every country in the world living here and my immediate area is dominated by the Chinese). I would like to believe that there are millions of rational sensible people in the UK and am happy to see the violence for now has stopped. It took great strength for the father of the son killed by the hit and run driver after the riots started to do what he did in calling for people to be calm. My point in all of this is just to say, I have no sympathy for anyone who threatens the police in anyway. Cops are not my favorite people, but they do deserve a certain amount of respect for the difficult jobs they do. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  22. Guilty as charged then. I will however openly admit that Liberal arrogance annoys me. I am not afraid to say that. But that does not make me a Republican. I am the result of what happens when Democrats and Republicans breed with each other. Too bad people like myself have no political representation. But I am used to "Taxation without Representation". Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Never was implying Mr Duggen was the cause of the UK riots. But I see where you are coming from. Once the monkeys arm themselves there is no turning back. But you are not the only one who has a problem with monkeys and AK47s. Check out this one of ours (of course he has also spent time in the UK and the USA so we did not create him by ourselves): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1-g2B-qa8c and to think only a few short months ago, this monkey could have become our PM. But democracy spoke and our AK47 shooting ape is back in school where he belongs since he clearly still has a lot more about the world still to learn. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. We will forgive you if you do not know much about Kallend. No Kallend definitely is not some young idealistic college kid. But he indoctrinates them every day. LOL ... he is a college professor. Okay I have no proof that Kallend actually indoctrinates his students since I have never set foot in his classroom. But it is no secret that many of his peers do indoctrinate young impressionable minds. So guilt through association? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Question: Did Mark Duggan threaten the police in anyway? Did he fire a weapon in the direction of the police officer? If the answer is "yes" then he got exactly what he deserved. Trust me I know cops are not angels. I know many (not all) cops have a certain "power trip" personality. But they have a difficult job where they put their lives on the line everyday to keep the peace in society. Whenever I interact with a cop, I make a point to show them a certain level of respect so that they know I am no threat to them. Because of this, I have yet (knock on wood) to be hurt by a cop. Too bad criminals think cops should not be respected. Then again, there is a reason why we call them criminals. They have no respect for the law. Why are you defending this criminal, the late Mark Duggan? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
