  1. I will answer the same way I answered the NFL thread. I am NOT looking forward to the 2011 NCAA season because the team I cheer for (Colorado Buffalos) suck and have sucked for a number of years now. I never attended school at CU, but I did live in Boulder for 4 years and did attend some games when they had a good team around 2000. NFL football is good, but I really liked the youthful enthusiasm of the college football stadium complete with the big band pageantry of the college bands. The games at Folsum Field were fun, but it's only a medium stadium compared to some others. I can only imagine what it must be like at one of the 100,000 seat stadiums like Michigan, Penn State Ohio State or Tennessee. PS: the best football game I ever attended was a Monday Night game between Broncos and the Raiders at the original Mile High Football Stadium. It snowed that night and it was the night some of the Denver fans threw snow balls at the Raiders after the home team won. Trust me I did not throw any snow balls, but it was still a night to remember. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. We have some beautiful weather this week in Southern Alberta and the forecast for the coming week is also very good. Plenty of sun, not too hot, not too cold and no humidity. September is definitely our best weather month. http://www.calgarysun.com/weather But please keep in mind that in a few short months from now we will be suffering a bitter winter, an arctic winter rivaled by only a winter that Siberia has. 3. Not really since I am a long time Denver Broncos fan and this looks like it will be a long painful losing season for the Donkeys. Not a good time for football in CO. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  5. The mere fact that this song was censored in the first place was FUBARed. Followed with threats of violence by the student body if she showed up. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. But we still love them right? Even when they do drive red cars. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. Yeah ... I drive a red car and I can attest that my "penis" is really, really, really small ... ... "and women are much more likely to go for red." - taken from the article Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Dude there is truth in what this soldier says. But you have allowed your judgement to be clouded by your tin foil hat. 9/11 wasn't some US Government created conspiracy. 9/11 was a real terrorist attack against America. It's just that GWB used it as an excuse to start a war that did not, should not have happened. Criticize GWB and the GOP for the Iraq war all you want. But enough with the 9/11 conspiracies. I went to the grocery store today to pickup some tin foil in order to cook some fish on the barbecue. But the shelves were empty. It seems there has been a run on tin foil this week as many "I hate America" people appear to be preparing to remember the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 with new tin foil hats. Okay I tell a lie, I didn't actually go to the store looking for tin foil. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Looks like the same chimp was auditioning for a role in the new Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie. BTW ... save your money and skip this movie. Last week I was getting some repairs done to my car and to kill some time I watched this movie and it was bad bad bad. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. For all of it's flaws, stories like this are proof that America still has things worth fighting for. It is still a country where people can say things about issues they disagree with and still a place where people who disagree with what was said can tell the original person that they are full of shit. Count yourself lucky that you don't live in a country where regulator has been setup to censor songs like Dire Strait's "Money For Nothing" (without even researching into what the song was really about) only because the word "Faggot" appears in the song. Count yourself lucky that you don't live in a country that believes in sending warnings of criminal prosecution to public speakers for what they may say not for what they actually did say. Count yourself lucky that you do not live in a country with a state funded public broadcaster that censors you if you do not toe the "politically correct" line. Soulja Boy may be a major ass wipe for what he believes in, but at least he is allowed to believe in something versus having the government tell him what he is and is not allowed to believe in. 13. Does the color of your car mean anything about who you are? Some people say it does. But I am not completely convinced. Of course I have always bought used and bought what I thought was a good deal for me at the time. So it's not like I have ever specifically ordered a new car in a preset color. Then again, I did refused to buy a car once specifically because of it's color. It was a shame since the car was in fantastic condition, but I just could not stand it's puke green color. Anyway, my car is silver and I have become a big fan of silver cars. But not because silver cars (as described in the article) "communicate a sense of aspiration and at times, an embrace of futurism". No I like my silver car because it hides the dirt. When you are close to the car you can see that it is a little dirty, but from a distance it looks clean. As much as I like black cars, they show every spec of dirt. http://lifewise.canoe.ca/Living/2011/08/30/18617781.html Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  16. What do you have against Walruses? Without the Walrus, this never would have happened. I have no issues whatsoever with Alissandra Moone and her size 8 body. I could never understand why they made size 0 clothing for women. When a girl is a size 0 does than mean her body is non-existent? Kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? No Alissandra can eat as many crackers as she wants in my bed. Of course I some how don't think Ms Moone would be interested in a slug like myself. 17. As the baseball season nears it's completion and the football season begins, here is a funny comparison of the two sports, courtesy of the late great George Carlin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om_yq4L3M_I Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. Well that was just Hollywood. I am talking the real enchilada here. But if football stadiums are passe, how about doing a NASCAR race and take care of two problems at the same time. But there is only one NASCAR race going on at one time. Target NCAA football and you have 40-50 targets all with varying degrees of TV coverage. 19. I am surprised nobody has tried this yet. Lob a bunch of motor shells into a packed Football or Baseball stadium. 60 seconds of concentrated attacks. Not only would there be death and destruction but there would also be good TV exposure. Heck do it on a Saturday from more than one location when there are tons of college football games going on around the country at the same time. Come one terrorists, show a little creatively. Ryder trucks are so 1995 and airplanes are so 2001. Get with the times. Throw in some chemical weapons for shits and giggles on Al Jazeera. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. Could General Aviation aircraft be used in a terrorist attack? Of course they could. But an attack could come from many different sources. Why all the instant fear mongering towards GA? So much for the Elephants being the only ones who fear mongered. Looks like the Donkeys are also getting in on the act. Yes the possibility of an attack using GA aircraft does exist, but one has to ask, does the US government really want to hinder GA so much with possible threats to the point where GA no longer is a viable business? If yes, then the terrorists have won. I sure hope a bunch of skydivers are not calling for more GA restrictions when attacks can come from anywhere at anytime. Don't forget the power of the IED, both physically as well as psychologically. IEDs are cheaper and easier terrorist tools than GA aircraft. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. I think it is pretty apparent that businesses have no confidence in Obama. As long as there is no confidence, there will be no jobs recovery. No amount of "Hope and Change" speeches from the Hollywood created Messiah Superhero Savior of the Universe can change this. Even though businesses do not trust Obama does not mean the Republicans get a "Get out of jail for free" card. But one has to wonder, would unemployment be as bad as it is if Billary had won the Democratic nomination. My guess is that the American recovery would still not be firing on all cylinders (face it the Donkeys and the Elephants have both made a mess with their respective reckless spending), but I would be willing to bet that businesses would have more confidence in Billary than they do with Obummer. 22. Once you get some coaching, dedicate jumps towards canopy control. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. In before the canopy nazis There will be a difference. It won't be a major difference, but there will be a difference. The 190 will be slightly faster and if handled properly the added speed can be used to make your flares more efficient. But if not used properly, the slightly smaller canopy can hurt you. But you can also hurt yourself with a 260. There will be people who tell you not to get a 190 and others who have different views. I had a similar exit weight when I was new in the sport and I had a zero-p 190 Sabre2 which was a great canopy. But I had about 50 jumps under my belt on a 220 before I went to the 190 and I was a licensed private pilot before I started jumping. The 190 is totally doable if it is a zero-p canopy ... but the margin for error will be slightly less forgiving than a 210. Of course as I said, you can still hurt yourself on a large 260. Want to learn how to fly a canopy? Seek canopy control coaching from qualified canopy pilots and dedicate jumps (ie: hop n' pops) towards canopy control. 24. What's behind partisan politics? The desire to win ... Both sides are equally guilty of their partisan politics and as long as there are more than one way to skin the cat, partisan politics will always be with us. What is sad (both sides are guilty of doing this) is when one side is willing to sabotage some aspect of society (be it the economy or be it something else) in order to gain political points. Anyone who denies that both sides are guilty of this, is I am afraid to say a partisan themselves. They all suck, but depending on your preferences, some suck more than the others. 25. I have not tried to do the test (when I see people saying the software is not working for them, I think why waste my time). But I have to ask why in the DZ.COM poll above is there only preferences for Black or White? Where I live, there are people here from virtually every country in the world. It is more than just Black and White. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
