Sunrise Rigging (Wings) has some of the best customer service around. Enough said? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

How long since your last jump!?
CanuckInUSA replied to lukepinion's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Does this mean I won't see you this weekend at SDTR? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
a PUD is just the deployment handle....a POD(Pull Out Deployment) is another type of systme....I have a PUD on my BOC.... I stand corrected, I meant POD, but said PUD instead. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I've never jumped a PUD nor can I quickly find pictures. But here's a DZ thread talking about the PUD versus BOC. http://www.dropzone.com/forum/Skydiving_C1/Safety_and_Training_F2/PUD_vs._PULLOUT_P1491/ Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

A PUD is a different kind of deployment system where the pilot chute and the bridel is packed into the container. The BOC stands for the "bottom of container" where the pilot chute and part of the bridel is pack in the pouch underneath the container. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Have you seen a PUD? The freefly handle is using a BOC but with a PUD like handle. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I also have one on my Wings container and have had no trouble whatsoever finding it come pull time. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I thought my post was a joke as I don't have a hard rule about women's height. But as far as Jen is concerned, I am worried that I let things develop faster than they should have developed. She's a nice girl and she seems to let me do my thing (skydiving and all). But I have some concerns about whether or not she's the right girl for me. So I'm kind of playing things with her in a wait and see manner. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

he ... he ... he ... but you're already spoken for. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Blonde, brunette, heck even a red head. 5'4"-5'9", athletic, cute smile, good heart, low to medium maintenance and the desire to jump out of airplanes. As you can see I'm not too picky any more. The sooner you send her my way, the sooner I'll be a happier camper. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

How's your Petey doing? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I was worried that I wouldn't get an honest answer to a honest question, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Thank you for the honest answer Lisa. I know I'm currently in no position to be giving you a call to buy a certain canopy type right now in my short skydiving career. But as long as he doesn't move, I know who my canopy coach may be and sometime in the future (probably one year from now) we just may be having this exact conversation that you outlined above. Now if only my knee would feel better. I suffered a minor knee injury playing hockey tonight and weather permitting I'm scheduled to take my first (oops beer) canopy control course on Sunday. Don't worry I don't have the $$$ to be shelling out to be buying a new rig and a new canopy, but what sort of jump experience do you look for before you'd sell someone a Crossfire loaded at something like 1.5:1? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Audiable altimeters for students...
CanuckInUSA replied to Clownburner's topic in Safety and Training
Wait until you are off AFF, then get a few solo jumps in and once you know you're altitude aware, get yourself an audible. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
What are the best boogies of the summer?
CanuckInUSA replied to aubsmell's topic in Events & Places to Jump
WFFC is a must on my calendar. But another two that I'm hoping to hit is the Lost Prairie and Couch Freak boogies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
I'm a 200 pounder, but the smallest canopy I've flow to date is my Sabre2 190. So I wouldn't know how slow a 120 is. In fact I doubt I'd ever fly something that small (thinking that a 135 or a 150 would be the smallest I'd ever be able to safely pilot after thousands of jumps under my belt). I like this answer ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Assuming you're allowed to tell us, so what is it that Katiebear is doing in Kuwait? Are you some sort of Three star general? kick ass Delta Force assasin? Killer helicopter pilot? Tank commander? Infantryman (or woman in this case)? Medical personel? Pencil Pusher? Curious minds need to know ... PS: I only ask this because I had no idea you were in the Armed Forces when we met at Eloy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

This is funny ... on a cross-country jump while at the Eloy x-mas boogie, the thought of carrying a cell phone came up. But I never did. I can just see it though ... I land off, call Skydive Arizona and they ask me where I am so that they can come get me ... and my response is ... somewhere in the desert? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I'm not as old as Bill, but I'm no spring chicken either: Toronto, Ontario (1 year) Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan (1 year) Vancouver, BC (1 year) Winnipeg, Manitoba (6 years) Montreal, Quebec (18 years) Calgary, Alberta (7 years) Colorado Springs, Colorado (2.5 years) Boulder, Colorado (2.5 years) Home DZ: Mile-Hi Skydiving (Longmont, CO) Home-away from home DZ: Skydive the Rockies (Canon City, CO) Denver Skydivers (Brush, CO) Skydive Arizona (Eloy, AZ) and many more to come ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I've pretty much already said this to family and friends and it's so true. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Put me on the "At this time I plan on being there and I sure hope I can convince the boss to give me the time off" list as it would be awesome to visit Perris Valley and reconnect with many of the DZ.COMers I met at Eloy as well as the DZ.COMers I didn't meet. If you really want to be a pilot and are dedicated, then yes it is worth the effort and the sacrifice. But you don't want to take too much time. Just as in skydiving, it's extremely important to stay current when flying (especially when you are learning to land). I only fly about once every three to six weeks and usually those flights are nothing but repetitive touch and go landing practice. I'd love to fly more than this, but skydiving has my attention and flying is rough on my bank account. But good luck if you do start flying and there are several pilots besides myself who hang out here who I'm sure would be happy to answer some of your questions who you're CFI isn't handy.

Chances are that someone will see you land off and send a vehicle. So I'd land off to help the injured party. Maybe you can stablize them and then go for help if nobody from the DZ arrives in time. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
