  1. That was a seriously fast Jet Ski. I didn't know they went that fast (at least they did not go that fast the one time I got to pilot one more than a decade ago). At those speeds, crashing on water (ignoring that he crashed into the trees) is like crashing on concrete. Maybe a helmet is in order? Of course helmet users often don't win Darwins. 2. GWB was bad. He added 5 trillion to the US's debt in his 8 years. But GWB looks like a fiscal conservative compared to Obama (and we all know GWB was no fiscal conservative). Anyway see you in 2016 when the US debt exceeds 20 trillion (it will be at least 20 trillion, possibly more) and 10 trillion of that 20 will have been added under Obama's watch. Not exactly something to be proud of. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. Those 1980s Group B cars were monsters. Rally cars that had horsepower and torque which would rival the F1 cars which themselves were also monsters compared to our modern neutered F1 cars. The only reason why the modern era F1 cars lap as fast as they do is because of the improved aerodynamics, lightweight carbon fiber components and modern tire technology. Group B was the greatest era of rally racing. But the fans were nuts. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Embarrassments? LOL ... I live in a part of the world where our economy is thriving, where we have hundreds of thousands of unfilled jobs. You would think that if someone really wanted to work, they would look outside the box and seek employment where the jobs exist. But no the culture of entitlements is strong. Why seek work making sacrifices to go to where the jobs are when you can just sit back and let the nanny state care for your every need. See you in four years, when after 8 years Obama succeeds in doubling the US debt he inherited. The Democrats dynasty of rule may just be starting. But who really wants to be part of a failed dynasty. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Truly disgusting. CLICKY Truly disgusting you say? LOL ... and your response was to link a video made up of mostly MSNBC coverage and other consensus mainstream media outrage. That is a joke. Now I don't agree with everything Allen West said. Since I am agnostic, I don't agree with his religious views. But another thing I disagree with is calling the Democrats Communists. That is just an insult to Communists, because at least Communists believe in putting people to work. The Democrats and their lemmings lack any sort of work ethic. The young people today who are fresh off academia's assembly line of indoctrination have little to no work ethic. All they have is an entitlement mentality that someone else owes them their way through life. Now where are my food stamps and my free Obama phone? Gimmie gimmie gimmie ... yes let the freebie train continue it's way for the next four years. Who cares how much it costs, that is a problem for some future generation to worry about. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. This video isn't one of the crazy "Let me outta here" moments from the navigator (he is actually quite calm), but it is from legendary driver Walter Rohrl and there are two interesting things about this video. A few times they show the notes the navigator is reading which shows the specialized rally lingo. But it was also taken in the era of rally when the spectators were allowed to be close to the course. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdy8CG09rSU Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

    MotoGP

I am a huge F1 fan and follow that sport much more than I follow MotoGP. But MotoGP is also cool and while my local cable TV provider doesn't really cover the races (possibly why I don't follow MotoGP as much as I follow F1), I can download all the races and qualifying from here: http://www.tremek.com/forum/f1-videos/51279-motogp-2012-season-full-races-8.html So in a few hours from now, the download for qualifying from Valencia will become available. Question I assume this race is from the dedicated Valencia race track, not the street circuit F1 uses? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Rally driving has got to be one of the riskiest forms of motorsports, but it is also one of the most entertaining when the driver and their navigator work as one. The navigator's lingo is it's own language the way the navigator reads out instruction about upcoming turns and what sort of degree the turn is (we don't really notice this since this video is not using English, but it is a specialized lingo). Oh and this navigator isn't too bad. I watched a video about a year ago where the navigator was going ape #### way more than this guy. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. If someone wants to leave their home country for political and/or economic reasons, well they better do their homework. Because they may find their new home is not what they thought it would be. I can't speak for Australia since I do not know enough about the various different regions, but for anyone who might want to emigrate to Canada, just know that Canada is not some generic country where every region is the same. If you are young and you seek work and have the skills or are willing to learn the skills. Then you will find Western Canada has plenty of opportunities for you. Just know that the cost of living in a place like Vancouver is almost as expensive as the Bay Area and while Alberta and Saskatchewan are more affordable and we desperately need skilled workers in these two provinces, the cost of housing here is not cheap. Oh and one more thing about Alberta and Saskatchewan, yes we have the best economy going in all of North America (and one of the best in the world), don't come here if you don't like cold winters with snow. Alberta's and Saskatchewan's climate can be very harsh when Mother Nature is reminding us just how powerful she can be. On the opposite end, a young person will not find a lot of economic opportunities on the East Coast. But if someone is retired and has money saved, well they can find much cheaper housing in the East than the West (just watch out for those Hurricanes during the fall months as they also tend to migrate to the Maritimes seeking their own retirement LOL). Ontario (Central Canada) is an option, but make sure you do your homework. Ontario's manufacturing economy is not firing on all of it's cylinders thanks it's largest customer (the USA) being in the economic troubles that it is in. You may find things just as bad if not worse than what you left. Quebec? LOL ... go there only at your own risk. Quebec's economy is bad and their politics is worse. Government, Labour Union and Mob corruption is out of control and a vocal minority in the province will absolutely hate your guts (this includes the current provincial government) if you can not speak French. So yeah make sure you do your homework before you leave your country of origin behind seeking greener pastures. You may find yourself in a worse predicament if you rush to judgment. Of course if America can not get a handle on it's out of control debt, maybe Australia and/or New Zealand is the place to be. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. If you think I am suggesting that the GOP become more progressive, you are sorely mistaken. I don't expect you to know who this man Jason Kenney is, though if you did spend sometime to educate yourself on his accomplishments, he has done a lot of things many can learn from. Mr Kenney didn't go into the ethnic communities and promise them more entitlement spending. No that's what progressives do. Mr Kenney went into these communities and explained to them how his views and their views were not all that dissimilar. So when the election came and the Liberal media ramped up their usual anti-conservative rhetoric, many (not all) of these people ignored the media BS and voted for the conservatives and they won a hard fought majority government. The CPC is not perfect, no government will ever be perfect. But in a troubled and uncertain world, Canada is weathering the storm quite well. Oh and what is Mr Kenney doing these days? He is off scouring the world looking for highly skilled people who might want to emigrate here. Western Canada needs workers, we need highly skilled workers badly. We have hundreds of thousands of high paying jobs that are unfilled. So remember this is not about becoming more progressive. It is about reaching out to the new demographic in North American society and explaining to them your vision and trying to bridge the gap. There a lot more similarities than differences and many of these ethnic folks are smart and incredibly motivated hard workers. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. I did the poll and the winner (for me) was ... drum roll ... Gary Johnson at 88% Mitt Romney at 85% Virgil Goode at 83% Barack Obama at 46% American Voters at 51% LOL ... looks like you better inform "The Department of Homeland Security" to have me permanently banned from entering in the US and polluting the minds of all your progressives. Oh and I did say I believed in Evolution, I am Pro-Choice and I believe weed should be legalized. Funny none of those are hardcore right wing values and yet Romney finished a close 2nd. What did I learn with this poll? That I am not a progressive, but I didn't need this poll to know that. And maybe Romney is closer to a Libertarian which would explain why progressives and evangelicals hate him. At least Obama wasn't last on my list. Two other people finished below Barry. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. As corrupt as the Alberta and Ontario Provincial governments are, I will agree that things in Quebec are much worse. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. I was wrong, I will admit this. I thought the number of eligible voters would be much higher than 200 million. Must be all those H-1B and TN-1 workers. By the way are you still on a TN-1 (were you ever on a TN-1?) or do you have something more long term now? I know when I had TN-1s, INS was nice to me for the first few years. But as the years progressed they turn into total assholes to the point where it wasn't worth the effort dealing with their BS. From a skydiving point of view I sure miss Colorado. I had a great time in my 8 years in that great state. But from an economic point of view, I am glad to be back in the land where people's heads split in two when they talk. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. You take exception to my post. What else is new. Tell me what was it that I said that offended you. Was it when I called both the Alberta and Ontario Provincial governments corrupt? or was it when I called both the the Alberta and Ontario Provincial corrupt progressive governments? What part of reality are you not living in? Both Alberta's and Ontario's Provincial governments are corrupt to the core, how many scandals do you need to ignore not to see how dishonest both of them are. And what part of reality do you fail to live in where you don't view both governments for their progressive policies. Or did you take exception to my comments about public sectors workers. Too funny, did I hit close to home? Are you upset that the public sectors are being downsized. Welcome to the real world. If private sector workers can be downsized, so can the public sector. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Of course they don't read this forum. Let's not be obtuse. Just made the post to talk about a man who through a lot of hard work was able to break the Liberal media bias and deliver a huge block of the ethnic vote. If you don't care, you don't care. Nothing I say will ever change that. But the Conservatives succeeded in Canada (which is even more ethnically diverse than the US is) and their success can be traced to the hard work of this one man. Just a little advise to American conservatives. You need to reach out to the ethnic communities, talk to them and try to find common ground. You can beat the Liberal media bias, but only if you have boots on the ground. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. If the GOP want to survive in a ever changing world, they need to talk to Canadian Member of Parliament Jason Kenney and find out from him how he was able to break the Liberal media bias to go out and win a huge block of the ethnic vote in Canada's last federal election back 2011 which delivered the Conservatives their majority government victory. Mr Kenney spent the better part of two years criss crossing the entire country visiting virtually every ethnic community and convinced many of them that the Conservatives were not this evil racist party like the media made them out to be. He convinced many in these ethnic communities that many of their values were similar to the values the Conservative Party had. Mr Kenney was hard at work pounding the pavement, and the Liberals just sat back and assumed that they were entitled to 100% of the ethnic vote without the need to lift a finger. Oh my how the mighty Liberal machine fell, and fell hard all thanks to the hard work of one man. So GOP, if you want to survive in an ever changing world. Pick up the phone and call Jason Kenney and pick his brain. David Cameron, Prime Minister of the UK took notice of Mr Kenney's efforts and he has already talked to him. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. Why would he possibly be laughing? He lives in a province that has turned into a economic basket case thanks to a corrupt progressive government that has been in charge for the last decade. Not only that, but he lives in a province that heavily relies on trade with the USA, except that the Democrats are not interesting in trade thanks to their protectionist ideology. Even if they were interested in trade, thanks to the out of control US government deficits and accumulated debt, inflation and a devalued currency will make trade even more expensive to the point where the US could not afford to do trade with his province. No there is not a lot to laugh about these days in Canada's largest province ... unless of course someone happens to be a public sector worker. In which case, yeah those people are laughing ... all the way to the bank. But I don't have much to laugh about either. It is true the economy of the province I call home is doing a lot better, but I too am ruled by a corrupt progressive government and we simply are not big enough to support the entire country. There is only one province in Canada who is balancing their books, only one province who can call themselves a conservative government and even they can not laugh as they themselves are not big enough to support all the takers. No when the US goes down due to your unsustainable culture of entitlements (remember the first of the boomers are just now beginning to draw on these entitlements), Canada will fall as well and that is no laughing matter. 19. How many Americans are there? In a country with well over 300 million people and yet less than 120 million bothered to vote? So what did we learn? That the majority of Americans don't give a flying fuck about either party. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. Obama is a failure and it has been disgusting the way the consensus mainstream media have been cherry picking it's coverage of this election to protect their messiah. But the Republicans still have plenty of skeletons in their closet and Romney never did detail how he planned on tackling the government's out of control spending. Therefore I must endorse "None of the Above" in this election. Now if you will excuse me, I am off to work. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  23. The FIS have ruled that Lindsey Vonn will NOT be allowed to compete in the up and coming Men's Downhill race at Lake Louise. Basically they ruled that men race in the Mens Downhill while women race in the Ladies Downhill. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/skiing/story/2012/11/03/sp-skiing-lindsey-vonn-lake-louise-decision.html However it is important to note that the FIS did leave the door open for Ms Vonn to apply to be one of the race Forerunners (a number of Forerunners are sent down the course prior to the start of the race to ensure the timing system works). This is what she wanted isn't it? She wanted a chance to compare her time against the men? As a Forerunner she would have been one of the first peeple down the course, the course would have been in great shape without any ruts. But apparently Ms Vonn has rejected the idea of being a Forerunner. All along she keep saying she wanted to race in the Mens Downhill and still be allowed to compete in the Ladies Downhill the following week (which is against the rules, being allowed extra training time that the other women would not get). So at the end of the day, it was all about Lindsey. If she can't have her cake and eat it at the same time, she does not want to play. I would have liked to see her ski, but come on Lindsey you know the rules. Why do you think you are entitled to extra training time the other girls would not get? 24. Only a Leftist would think that the Huffington Post is not bias. I know FoxNews is heavily bias to the Right, just as the Huffington Post is heavily bias to the Left. Indoctrination is a powerful thing. All we ever get from you is "Massive government spending is the only way economies can succeed". I don't know a single person from the private sector who thinks this way. So that leads me to believe you have little exposure to the private sector, and instead your interests lie in ever growing government bureaucracies. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
