  1. How many of the people on this list have actually committed a crime with their firearms? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  2. Who cares about the "Celebrity News Network" and their imported tabloid pin head who masquerades himself as a journalist. Besides not that many people watch CNN. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. It's cold in Russia and it is also cold in Canada at the same time. That means the north is pretty cold at the moment. Of course this isn't unusual, it is rather normal. It is winter after all. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Mandatory nudity makes perfect sense if there were nothing but 120lb women running around. But when obese men and women are a growing demographic in society, well that is just cruel on the eyes. Plus it's been in the -20s for the last little while with little hope of warming up in the short term where I live. That is just cruel thinking mandatory nudity should be used when it is so cold. Not only would it shrink, it might fall off. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Short of creating an extreme government surveillance society (which I believe most people don't want), there is no simple solution to stop the crazies from killing. The world has changed, the family unit is becoming less and less relevant, and every new generation has less and less respect. These days people seek instant internet "look at me, I am special" fame. Some people choose to be silly with their stupid stunts while others choose a more sinister result. But there are some small steps that should be taken. First off if anyone ever makes any sort of threat, it should not be ignored. Just this week a teenaged girl in Mesa AZ and a teenaged boy in Ponoka Alberta (separate incidents) made threats on the internet about shooting up their schools and rightfully they were both paid a visit before anything could happen. But another thing we should be doing is not publishing the names of the shooters. I am sure it will not solve all threats, but in many instances these people are trying to write themselves into the history books by besting the last horrific mass shooting by obtaining an even higher kill count. Of course the consensus mainstream media absolutely loves these sorts of events, so naturally the media won't follow this common sense of not publishing the names. The media are all too willing throw their own mothers into shark infested waters and chum the water to pursue their "this is news" agenda. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. I went out at lunch and the radio station was still playing REM's "It's the end of the world" song back to back to back. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. On the way to work this morning, my local radio station x92.9 kept on playing REM's "It's the end of the world" song over and over. I heard it seven times while driving and I am sure they are still playing it now. Funny as hell. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. It may not be as cold as it can get, but it is pretty cold right now in Western Canada. Presently it is -18C and tonight it will dip into the -20s with a fresh blanket of snow to go along with all the other snow that has fallen since the middle of October. 10. Grosjean is talented. He wouldn't have been in F1 if he wasn't talented. But he needs to learn you can't win the race on the 1st lap, but you sure can lose it on the 1st lap. He should go back and watch all the 2012 races and pay close attention to how his teammate Kimi Raikkonen approached them. The Iceman knows when to go for the position and when to concede it. 11. If you miss the white stuff I can send you some. I have had snow in my yard since the 2nd week of October and I likely will have snow well into May, possibly even June (only time will tell on that one). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. There are hundreds of millions of firearms in the USA (the vast majority of which have never been used in a crime). How are you proposing they be banned? You can't be that obtuse to think the owners would voluntarily just surrender them to the government now can you? So what you are really calling for with your draconian Police State like measures is where members of the military or the police knock down the doors of every residence in the USA in an attempt to seize all the firearms? What makes you think members of the military or police would accept putting their lives on the front line in this seizure attempt and what makes you think members of the military or police actually believe they would be doing the right thing by starting a civil war in an attempt to disarm the country? These mass shootings are horrible, especially when it involves innocent children. But what you are calling for will result in the deaths of millions of people. Yikes .... Your call for a culture change is to start a draconian Police State civil war while my call for culture change is to bring the meaning of "family" back into the nation. Parents need to raise their children to be respectful self sufficient members of society. My solution is not easy. In fact it is rather difficult because the family unit has been allowed to decay for decades now. But it is still better than a draconian Police State civil war. Oh and by the way, I want nothing to do with the society you want. I choose choice, I choose liberty. As long as I am not infringing on someone else's liberty, I choose the freedom to chart my own future free from government interference. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. Last night I was having a chat with my mother and we were talking about a man from Quebec, "Guy Turcotte" a cardiologist who three years ago murdered his 5 year old son and his 3 year old daughter stabbing them 46 times with a knife as they slept in their beds. Horrible does not even come close to describing this crime. But why were myself and my mother discussing this? Because the mental health authorities in Quebec decided Mr Turcotte was NOT criminally responsible for his actions and just this week, these very same healthcare authorities decided that Mr Turcotte no longer possessed a threat to society and he has been freed back onto the streets. Sounds unbelievable? One of those "you have to be fucking kidding me, you are so full of shit, there is no way a man can stab his children 46 times as they slept would be walking the streets tonight as a free man only three years after his crime". Google his name, I shit you not. True story. We live in a very sick society. Oh and before someone says "only a father would do this, a mother would never murder her own flesh a blood". Think again. Google the name "Sonia Blanchette", another parent who last week murdered her 5 year old daughter, 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter. So while some people want to demonize guns (which without a doubt are efficient killing tools when used maliciously), I have to ask "What cause society to become so fucked up where adults seek to harm/kill innocent children". It's not the gun (or the knife in the examples I just outlined) that killed the children. It was the sick human who became a monster and turned on all these innocent children. Who says monsters don't exist. This is a sad sad day. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. There is a fix, but realizing it will not be easy thanks to decades of decay. The fix is the restoration of family. Parents need to raise their children to be respectful self sufficient people who in turn will pass this on to their children, so on and so forth. Problem is, society is going the other way. How does a young adult pass on good life lessons to their children when they themselves likely had poor parents who did not pass these valuable lessons on to them. 15. Not the same issue? WTF ... A crazed man walked into a school in China with the intention of harming innocent children. A crazed man walked into a school in the US with the intention of harming innocent children. Sure guns are more efficient weapons than knives, but yes these two are the same. Neither the knife nor the gun woke up this morning and decided they wanted to harm children. What is this world coming to? It is the human who has gone over the edge, not the inanimate object. 16. ROFLMAO ... Yes the lack of a proper College Football playoff system is a problem. But not your biggest problem. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. Obviously a number of these categories overlap. But what is the biggest problem facing America? Personally I believe it is Obesity since an unhealthy population effects a lot of the other categories. But that is just me. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. There used to be a time when we were happy that "The Dog" could fetch the morning paper. Well times are changing. Dogs are learning to drive cars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=YAU5c6Q6ZBI Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  20. Does this mean the time has come to rewrite American Folklore? To rewrite the legend of Paul Bunyan? Could the American Folklore Hero actually have been a crazed Axe murderer? Be afraid, be very afraid. Paul Bunyan is coming to get you, to chop you into little pieces with his Axe. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. It will be interesting to see if he is serious about jumping. There should be no questioning his physical conditioning and you have to think his reactions would be good and he would not be the type to panic under pressure. Keep your eyes open, as he may just be visiting a DZ near you, Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. It's not the cars, it's the poorly trained drivers, the complacent drivers and the drivers with BS attitudes in thinking "they know all that" when they clearly don't. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. In a season of crazy races, they left the most insane race for the last one. Talk about a roller coaster race. But while the racing gods threw Sebastian Vettel a major curve ball on lap #1, they decided to be nice to him before the day ended. Congrats to the young German for winning his 3rd consecutive F1 World Driving Championship.
  24. Damned if you use it, damned if you don't use it. With that said, 2012 will go down as a great year of racing with the Championship to be decided at tomorrow's final race. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Canada just recently scrapped it's brain dead long gun registry. How about them apples? Besides there are millions and millions of unregistered assets lying dormant in Western Canada. If they are never needed, they will never be used. But should the need for them ever arise, there they are. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
