  1. Dude you've convinced me. I have decided to rework the initial tracking sequences. In fact, some of it will remain as it, but I will try to add a little more continuity to the dives and try not cutaway as often. I don't know when this work will be done (likely next week as I'm going to be a busy camper for the next few days). But changes are imminent. 2. Duece must have spend a fair amount of time on it if it's one hour long. But if someone is motivated, they can get the job done. Look at my video as an example (which is still to be tweaked ... like the opening sequence). It's only one song, but I started planning it on Thursday night, pretty much stayed up all night Friday (stopped at about 6:00 am) and if it wasn't for the fact that I wanted/needed some wingsuit footage, I would have been finished then. But it was ready by Sunday morning (and I really didn't work on it much Saturday and Sunday). Of course now I enter my fine tuning stage and who knows how long that'll take. 3. I'm very surprised that you would do this. I know you wanted to recoup some $$$, but 267 jumps on a cross-braced hanky? Aie-karumba!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. wingsuit BASE? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. Not that I'm small either, but you do have size on your side in this sort of scenario. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Yup I've been playing since I was five years old (like any good Canadian would). Hey I'm hijacking my own thread. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I was in the post office at lunch and there was a guy and a girl in front of me and then a bunch of people behind me. Then this older (60ish) woman approaches the first guy in line and asks if she can cut in front because she was late for a flight. The guy, the girl and myself didn't seem to have any issues with this, but the fat fuck behind me starts talk out loud to his girlfriend that this wasn't right, the lady should be at the end of the line, it was her fault for being late and that he too was late to work (shit it was about 12:15 so how late could he be). I kept my mouth shut and eventually the lady who was late went to the back of the line and you could tell that the guy and girl in front of me had pretty much the same reaction that I had, and that was that this fat fuck was an asshole and letting this lady in front of us wasn't going to kill us all. Anyway, once I left the post office I started thinking about all of this and I started to think, man I really should have turned around and said: "Hey lady you're welcome to get in front of me, and you, you selfish fuck, you're also welcome to get in front of me because you're so worried about getting back to worthless job. You see I've learned in life what is important and what isn't. And harassing someone who's late for a flight isn't important". Of course this would have been very confrontational and who knows what would have transpired. I'm confident that if a fight would have broken out (not what I wanted), that I'm pretty sure the fat fuck would be on the ground right now with a bloody nose and a busted up knee (I know how to fight dirty), but I actually am a peaceful sort of person. But I also play hockey and do get violent in that sport when the wrong buttons are pushed. So did I do the right thing by being quiet, or should I have voiced my opinion that this fat selfish fuck needed to get a grip on life? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Huh? All I was doing was making the link clicky and you start flaming me? Get a grip dude ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. I'm purchasing a used Vector 3 which I plan to use predominately for wingsuit jumps. But it'll also come in handy for doing back to back loads at the end of the day (or back to back during boogies). So here's my question(s): 1) Should I look into getting the dynamic corner mod (and will the mod negatively effect non-wingsuit jumps). 2) Should I look into picking up a longer (9 ft?) bridle? 10. Want to trade jobs? Mine pays very well. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. I love talking to Brian (not that I've had that many opportunities, but the few I've had are gems). He's got a certain view of this sport ... like ... if you're in the door during a large boogie and you don't like the long spot, it'll only get worse the more you look at it.

  13. I failed my first attempt at Level V and was 1/2 towards failing my 2nd attempt in the air when all of a sudden the light in my head clicked and I've never looked back. I feel I still suck, I just don't suck as much as I used to. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. Happy 14th Lisa. I hope the 2nd Annual Bytch Boogie surpasses the first on the fun-o-meter. As of right now, I plan on being there. But this time could you tell Mother Nature to take her hot air (the wind) and take a hike? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Oh shit I get squirrelly when I miss a week. And now I'm looking at, at least a two week layoff as I didn't jump last weekend (poor WX) and won't be jumping this weekend (going skiing with this whuffo girl). Refresher training is a good idea for anyone who's taken any considerable amount of time off (more than one month in my books). But each one of us is different and what works for one person likely won't work for the next. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. Don't be freaked out with your hop n' pops. It'll take a good ten seconds after exit to cover that first 1000 feet. That's plenty of time to get stable and pull. What's the secret to skydiving? Relax ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. Jerry81 has already addressed some of the same issues I was going to bring up. On the 2nd jump (at the start) try to resist the urge to go on your belly when you get unstable. You did a good job near the end of the 2nd jump balling up and not going to you belly when you felt unstable. Keep up the good work. Nobody said freeflying was easy. At least it didn't come naturally for me either and I feel that I still suck, I just don't suck as much as I used to. My biggest concern watching all of this is that your reserve flap was flopping in the wind. You really need to get that looked into. Imagine how much it'll hurt if you were to have a pre-me ... 18. She's not a DZ.COMer, but I know one teacher who was getting her "A" here in CO last summer (she's now in upper state NY). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Thanks ... it'll be a while before "Bellas II" is finished as I don't have anywhere near the amount of good raw footage to make an entire 2nd movie. So I guess I'll just need to start jumping more and posting less? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. I'm not here to debate whether guns are good or bad and whether or not people agree with whatever it is NY state is trying to do. But I bet if you did a search for every post that John has ever made on DZ.COM, 95% (or more) are gun related. I don't know about you, but I come to DZ.COM to talk about skydiving. If I wanted to talk sports or aviation or whatever else, I'd be on some other forum. Back to your regular scheduled programming... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. How about talking skydiving for a change? Your profile mentions that you've made a ton of jumps. So why not tell people about your skydiving experience instead of your constant gun talk? You obviously enjoy your guns (nothing wrong with that, it's your right to bear arms in this country). But I rarely see you talk about anything else and I'm beginning to wonder if you may be just a gun troll? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. I voted for every option except the first one "I try and recruit new jumpers everywhere I go". Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. I never did get to do that jump with you (otherwise I'm sure you would have been in the video). But I guess I'm at fault because didn't you ask me one morning, but I was still in the process of recovering from the night before? Hmmm ... maybe I could use a clip from last year? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Yah I'll make you famous (in the skydiving world) with my video. Oops ... too late ... you already took care of that yourself. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Vibes ... and hugs ... I'd say kisses as well, but you don't know me. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
