Unless you're going to be jumping in Twin today or tomorrow, we don't really know what Mother Nature has in store for that area. I'd say check back in a day or two. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

It's hard to judge the WX forecast so many days out, but I don't think it'll be as bad as you think it'll be. Check out what the NWS thinks Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

There can't be very many Daughter-Mother tandem stories out there. Congrats Lew. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Send me a PM of your email address and I'll send you two landing videos. In the 1st one you will see me doing your classic carving turn and in the 2nd one you will see a much snappier turn. It's funny as I was learning to swoop I was told that carving turns were better. But once I achieved a certain level I've been coached (by a PSTer) to get out of that bad "carving" turn habit and into a much snappier turn. Of course the new canopy I'm flying has some influence on that type of coaching. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Interesting story. Now don't forget to tie your slider down on your slider down jumps. If you look at the vid from two weekends ago when you jumped with us in potato land, you can see that your slider down jump was more like a slider up jump. I stayed up late (again) working on a jumping video project (multiple songs). It's close to being finished, but I'm not sure when I'll go public. And it'll will likely be a free downloadable video as I did not license the music. But I do need to consult with some of the jumpers that appear on the video first. Stay tuned ... I'm not claiming that it'll be the best ever video (as I'm sure it's not), but it's looking pretty good so far. News at eleven ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

You play hockey? Cool ... not too shabby for a Southern Cal girl.

77.84 years ... whatever this means. If it's true I'm going to have to work longer and build more of a retirement nest egg that what I may already have (I have some retirement savings, but not that much). Oh but this website didn't ask about skydiving or BASE. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Well if you ever make it to CO or if I make it to WA, then I'll buy you the beer. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Just having some fun with my favorite TX based tandem whipping boy. You should see how I treat some of my favorite CO tandem whipping boys. Once again I understand why you do what you do. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

To each their own. I can understand why a tandem whipping boy like yourself doesn't keep his DZ.COM numbers up to date because you guys can get a lot of jumps in, in a short period of time. But I always update my DZ.COM profile after a certain day, weekend or week of jumping (whenever it is convienient). So when I say that I've made 879 skydives, you'll know that I've done 879 skydives. But I do add my skydives and BASE jumps into a total and will tell people that I've made over {insert a number here} jumps. In fact I may not have made my 900th skydive yet. But I did jump a cross-braced canopy for the first time on my 900th jump. Of course I have 5 skydives from last weekend and another 5 BASE jumps from the weekend before which still need to be logged on paper before I forget what happened on those jumps. I've got to say that all you people with your new "goggles" avatars look like a bunch of aliens to me.

Dang Cora. You've got to stay away from those cars. You've got a number of car "bonus" days I see. I have one for sure car "bonus" day myself and many other bonus days from some of the sports I've done in the past. Would I jump if my next jump was death? Well the answer would be "No". But like many others, I know this (and other parachute related sports) could kill me. Yet I continue to jump and continue to do it often. What's more dangerous? Currency or Uncurrent? If I jump a lot, I risk death more often. But hopefully I am current to the point where I'm on top of the 8-ball. In contrast. If I only occasionally jump, I may not be at risk as many times, but my skill and awareness levels won't be the same as if I was current. Who's at more risk here? I know. I'll lock myself up and live as a hermit safe from all the worlds dangers. Except I think I'd be dead within 10 years. I like my chances of staying alive 10 years in this sport. I'm surprised none of you guys haven't mentioned getting Frenchy fixed. That would shut him up. But it would be cruel and possibly inhumane. I don't know. Didn't I say that I was out of here earlier? Hmmm ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

My bad. I was thinking Snipes all the way, just got my movie names mixed up. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Thanks Cora (someone I've met, twice I believe) ... I'm done and out of here. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I'm not going to say such a thing because I don't wish to see them dead. I'm not a big fan of the cops, but I do know why they exist. I have different life experiences than you and thus have a different view on the laws society is supposed to follow. And if you ever do meet the guy you attacked, you'll notice what a laid back, non-violent, friendly type of guy that he is. Drew is NOT perfect. In fact I don't always agree with him. But he is a smart person and doesn't wish violence upon anyone. Anyway, getting back to the real point why I started conversing with you here in this forum. Remember that the skydiving community is a very small community. I see that you are new here (and we all were new at some point as well) and I'm just trying to help you realize this so that you think twice before you hit that send button. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Retort? You threatened the guy's life. What kind of response is that? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I know and occasionally jump with this person who you refer to and while his comments may be somewhat out of line when it comes to law enforcement officers, I would like to remind you how small the skydiving community can be. Eventually (assuming people stay in the sport) you will meet this individual just as you will meet myself and others here. The way you attacked and threatened this person is not acceptable on DZ.COM as well as any other civilized forum. This is the internet for Gods sakes. It's cool to have fun here and it's a good place to share information on with each other with our common interest (jumping out of aircraft and jumping off of fixed objects). But DZ.COM is still the internet and the things you say here are seen and remembered by many and can effect your skydiving career. I knew that you wasted your time writing up that post. You see, the person you most wanted to read it, will never see it because he's off in another country right now BASE jumping. Either way just remember that this is a very small community you're talking to and the reputation you build for yourself here on DZ.COM is remembered at the drop zones that we all meet at and jump at. Should have seen the threatening personal attack post he made in the Speakers Corner before it got nuked by a Greenie. Maybe he brought the rain with him. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
