    Actually worse than that......I think I read that the game was stopped with time left on the clock. And one of the Cumberland players was found hiding on the GT bench during the second half. Can't say as I blame him.

    Good 'ol Clint. He and Spectre230 gave me a ton of laughs for a long time. I think one of the perks of being a "Premier" member should be access to every thread ever deleted.     i heard a really interesting story once, about a Big Wheel, a bunch of skydivers, and a high-wind day. It started with drinking, a bet was made, and a jumper was astride said Big Wheel. His canopy was pulling him down the runway at appox. 30 mph. It ended when the front wheel hub assembly melted due to friction, and the skydiver broke one arm and his collarbone. Big Wheels now terrify me.

    Well, I don't "hate" Simms.....anyone that would rupture a spleen and keep playing is pretty tough in my book. I saw an opportunity to refer to an ex-Longhorn aa a pansy, and took it......just a part of maintaining my asshole status.     My dad died in Vietnam in 1968 (I was 10). I can remember so much about him so vividly, yet have a hard time remembering some of the guys I went to high school with. If I could say anything to him, I'd tell him I still think of him almost every day, and I'd apologize for never having visited his grave in Arlington. I've been outside the gates 3 times now, and couldn't bring myself to go in. On my one and only visit to The Wall, I broke down as soon as I saw his name, and left shortly thereafter. Yet I've been to literally dozens of funerals since then and never had any emotional control problems. Dad, I'm proud of the man you were, and I think you'd have been happy with how your son turned out. I wish I could have known you as an adult, beacause you were everything to me as a kid.     Ask them to go back and re-examine the end of the Michigan - Nebraska bowl game last year, too. What's the point in having instant replay if you're STILL going to blow the call ?
