  1. Atheism is a lack of belief in god(s) so technically you can still believe in an afterlife as an atheist.
  2. Yeah, it's a racist. Just the next idiot that thinks that his skin colour is an achievement. We can only hope something will happen that makes him sterile so we don't have to suffer from his off-spring.
  3. You know there's other ways of combating depression besides popping pills, right? Physical exercise would be one of the first things that come to mind, even low impact exercise like cycling and walking has significant beneficial effects on one's mood.
  4. Not really: Sodom and Gomorrah weren't obliterated because of homosexuality, but it is a common misconception. The nature of the sins of the Gommorans and Sodomites is never specified in the Bible, and by the time the males of Sodom wanted to gang rape the (male like) angels at Lot's house, the fate of the cities was already sealed. In fact the angels were there to warn (evacuate?) Lot, because God already decided to raze the cities. But since he seems to think S. & G. (and I think 2 or 3 other cities too) were destroyed because of the Gays, and he seems to think it will be resolved in the same way eventually in the future, my question isn't strange.
  5. So in other words, you don't know what your religion is all about, and still you think that homers should burn to death in a big conflagration?

  7. herbal tea, dear, it always makes me grumpy. But Christians tend to whine a lot. Especially when they're the majority somewhere.
  8. The violence is explicit and the sex is implied, which supports the point that violence is less of a problem than sex. It was fun though.
  9. Being Christian usually comes with a fetish for persecution. And If the Christian isn't persecuted for real, there's a good change the Christian will make up persecutions to satisfy his/her desire. Christianity in it's pure form is the religion of whiny bitches, live with it!
  10. http://amptoons.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/christian_oppression_pie.png But of course Christians usually already feel persecuted when they aren't allowed to persecute others.
  11. Well, you probably right on that one, however I meant that the correlation isn't always there (and mis-phrased it). The lack of restrictions on FoS should result in a very PinC society for instance, for example.
  12. As long as it's also OK for students to give their religious White Supremacist views on black people, I don't really see a problem. As long as one doesn't use violence against blacks of course. And that's of course the case because Family Value people would never single out gays for bullying
  13. In the post you replied to, I used the word ignorant to refer to myself in case I would throw all the N. American countries on one pile, and treated them as the same or similar. (which I didn't.) Other than that I used the word one (1) time in this topic to refer to one (1) statement of one (1) poster. So how is that using the word ignorant "a lot"? I think you've no clue as to what "a lot" actually means, pops. . 19 of the 23 voices in my head agree that I'm not a group of people, so insulting or offending only me can't possibly politically incorrect. Other than that I couldn't care less whether you're PC towards me or not.
  14. Oh, but FoS is very well protected in the US of A, in fact I would like to see the same freedom guaranteed in our constitution. The hate-speech laws are hardly enforced anyway. A similar case as the UK case you referred to learned us that claiming gays should be tossed from high-rises and stoned to death and decapitated (speaking of overkill lol) isn't necessarily hate speech. Besides that I think FoS shouldn't be limited to begin with (Well except for yelling fire in the proverbial theatre etc.) But the juridical side doesn't say a lot about how PC a society is, and I believe that was the topic here. Not endorsing genocide isn't PC-gone-wild whether it's legal in a country or not.
  15. Oh well, preconception it is. How can I have a preconception about you when I experienced first hand that your discussion style can only be described as underhanded? But I'm also done with you. Have fun pretending you actually made a point!
  16. Well, even with a dictionary prejudice doesn't really work if it's applied to one specific person. That could be a cultural difference of course.
  17. I do not really remember to be "owned" in the other thread. AFAICS Bill tried to exploit some underhanded discussion techniques to make a point which didn't exist in the first place. And please look up Lev. 20:13 and explain what's not explicit about that.
  18. Preconceptions against one specific person, a.k.a. you, bill? How does that work?
  19. Bill, you should really read the bible before you tear it to pieces. The outlawing on homosexuality is... well... extremely explicit. As in "All homers should be executed"
  20. Congrats Bill, you now know how to quote people out of context. How does it feel to be on the level of creationists?
  21. Shifting the goal posts are we, Bill? You only forgot people also migrate to the NL. We're not as diverse as you, but since you're 228 times bigger..... But yeah it sucks when a nation the size of Central Parks has 2 indigenous languages and 21 distinct dialects and you still want to proof you're more diverse.
  22. Well, flat boring farmland with tornados. That sounds a lot like the NL. Well our tornadoes are cute and cuddly of course. Well, I was referring to cultural diversity. But it's only logical, Dutch culture had a lot more time to develop. And since most of that time the country pretty much consisted of rather isolated populations you get much cultural variety on a very small area.
