  1. Would you feel the same way about people who want to buy a semi auto gun. This could lead to a gun registry and we all know how well that has worked for protecting your 2nd amendment That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  2. Mabey not, but if you had, I'd think you would leave him in a room with small spaniel before you would the Pitbull. My dog is alone with kids quite frequently. Neighbors come over to play when he is in the front yard, my niece's, ect. No way in Hell I would even let a pitbull roam free in my front yard. You just can't do that with that type of dog. 3. Sure could. I never said otherwise That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  4. In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd rather compare the pit bull to a high performance canopy/wingloading. You seem hell bent on canopy regulations to protect the high risk skydiver from himself, but you have no problem with lack of regulation regarding certain animals to protect an innocent non-participant. Talk about double standards This is simply not true. False. Any reputable pit bull breeder will tell you Not to leave the breed alone with unfamilar children. 5. I suppose. What is your point Ron. Do you not believe that dogs are bred for certain traits. Wake up! It's no doubt humans could be bred for certain traits to. Think The rest of your post is just dribble. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  6. My wife knows mine and I know hers. Neither of us check each others email though(unless I ask her to occasionally). I do not understand the need for anyone to "share" an email address. You can get one for free. I have no desire to actually read the correspondence between my wife and her/our friends. I think you are very insecure about your relationship That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  7. I started Snow skiing when I was four. Raced a bit when I real young on shitty gear, and had always considered myself an expert skier until my first trip out west when I was about 18. I went our an Expert and came back an intermediate Started Snowboarding a few years back and absoulutly love it. I took to it like a fish to water.(lots of skateboarding, wakeboarding exp) I just love carving at High speeds down the mountain. Give it a few more chances you will come around. It is very easy for most to learn to ski, but they can spend the rest of their life trying to master it. Snowboarding can be much more difficult for most to initially earn, but much easier to become very proficent at. Once you learn to ride the, learning curve is much easier than skiing. I think that is why some are so old school and resistent to the younger generations preference of snowboarding. They hate to see someone with a couple years of riding go everywhere they will and keep up. I had a major knee surgery in September (bad fracture of tibia plateau along with tearing out the meniscus) that was plated and screwed together , but I can't wait to visit my buddy in CO and shred the mountain up. Not sure if I should be out this year, Doc said 9 months before I am back to full strength. You owe yourself another chance, it is super easy once you get the hang of it. 8. Packers have already made the playoffs. This Friday they play the Vikings for the division championship. They have secured a wildcard though. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  9. You need to fill in your profile or define "this country". I will assume the US hmm.... Where do you live? That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

  11. Now I really don't understand you Dave. You started the childish comments with "have fun in your own little fantisy world" Followed in the next post by "go back into your little fantisy world" but I am the childish one? Can some one else please advise me as to what I can and can not say on here, as to not insult anyone. Huh?? Boy you read WAY to much into shit. Some might call that paraniod. . Yes Dave, I am starting to understand now That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  12. Hell we seldom lock our exterior doors at my house, but then again we don't live in Texas. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  13. Fine just continue to think I tried to insult you? I don't know you anyway. So anyway -what did you get her for a shotgun? I'm guessing an 870 express or a Nova. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  14. Here is what I said. Have your Wife help if you need. I said HOPE. I had on image of you putting your Wife in the bathroom floor and running practice drills for your satisfaction. Hell your comments alone on this board are enough to scare some people in other countries from thinking it is safe over here. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 15. With an attitude like that no wonder your need to surround yourself with guns. I never said I thought, I said I hope and clearly stated that I was not implying you were(scaring her). So go fuck yourself. What she get. 870, Nova? That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  16. On one hand it's great that your Wife has the means and knowledge to protect herself should she ever need to. I just hope you don't have HER living in fear because of your desire to have everyone armed and ready. I am not insituating that you are either. I don't know you or your Wife That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  17. I don't know about Bill but you got me about conviced to stay the Hell out of Texas. "America is a country where you do not need to justify owning a gun. Don't try" -AndyMan That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  18. I agree, but you seem to feel the need to create dozens of posts to unjustify their decision. If you have no problem with their guns, why argue with their reasons. You actually think you are going to change Dave, John's, or others views. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  19. So you are using your learning curve to claim guns are not simple to use. Sounds like you could have used a better instructor. I have seen people struggle in various sports where don't have a competent instructor. Happens all the time and they usually just think what they are trying to do is harder than it actually is. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  20. I don't think I said you did? I did ask however Why it may have came across as a rant, It was actually a question. ?? So you do support the 2nd amendment (sorry I lost that in all your posts that seem to criticize gun ownership) So let me ask you this. All of your lengthy debates on gun ownership is for what cause? Are you actually trying to convince someone that owns a gun for self protection that they don't really need it?? Seems like an exercise in futility to me. I'm lost. Unless it is just a chance to spew sarcasm and be condescending. Then it all makes sense. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  21. Just what is your point? Do you think we should Outlaw Guns because YOU have no use for them? This thread was about Gun Accidents. Why does every thread that concerns guns end up with the Anti gun people explaining why they don't need a gun, and a few Pro-Gun people hammering the right to protect themselves with one. It's really pretty simple. If you don't want a gun, do not buy a Gun. On the other side if you want one and are competent to have one, go for it. I do not understand the issue here. You have said several times one way or another that you feel perfectly safe without a gun (you have a brain) and have never felt a need for one. If that is the case, just what is your issue with others owning guns? They don't seem to pose a threat in your eyes. People just need to use their brains and they won't need one. Great. Simple. So why are you against my guns since they admittedly are not an issue for you? If you have a legitimate stance against guns that is one thing, but your argument that they are not needed for self defense is quite boring. So what? Most people do not buy guns for self defense anyway. I myself own quite a few guns. I don't have a loaded gun in the house and do not have one in my bedroom. Not that I think there is anything wrong with that. I wouldn't mind having a fingerprint coded locking nightstand to keep a loaded .40s&w or 9mm. If I ever come across one I like for a good price, I may pick it up. It's not a top priority. I may pick up a 20 gauge over/under real soon though. You ridicule the 700 gun accidents and imply this is a way to high of a number. We should get rid of guns-heh? We have by far more Skydiving accidents per rig (than gun accident per gun), and you can assume that most of these people go through some sort of formal training and licensing program. How many of these gun accidents are actually accidents? Not all of them. Owning a gun is much safer than owning a Rig! Josh That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 22. A very small portion of this country feels that we "need guns to be or feel safe" Are you speaking to US residents in general or to specific people on this board?? I hope it's the latter. Almost every houshold I know owns some sort of gun, from a Pellet gun or .22 to a handgun to a highpower rifle. Some people like myself own all of the above plus a few shotguns. I love bird hunting (grouse, pheasant, woodcock) with my dog. Of all the people I know who own guns, which includes all of my grandparents on both sides of the family, I don't think any of them own one for the purpose of self protection. NOBODY I know personaly, aside from some skydivers, carry's a weapon for self protection. Most weapons are owned strictly for target shooting(there are many, many different types of target shooting) or hunting. You could spend a month or mabey a year over here and not actually meet as many people who carry conceled weapons as there are on DZ.com.(Mabey not in Texes though) Much in the same way that I find a very disproportionate amount of vegetarians within the skydiving community. 23. There are many, many guns built and purchased soley for target shooting. Some of them quite expensive. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  24. It's the Westin, part of the Starwood properties. The Heavenly bed is comfortable, and can easily be purchased from them if you would like. It is made by Simmons and is a no-flip(cheaper way to make a mattress and charge you more for it) I would not purchase this be myself, as you can find nicer beds at the same price that will last longer. Think Verlo. But anyway- The Westin on Michigan Ave is nice. Truth is the only Hotels I have stayed at Downtown are the Hilton and the Westin. I prefer the Westins because they are "Pet-Friendly". 25. A popular misconception is that this is always holds true. It sounds like it will in her case, but I have covinced a few very floaty(small) females that booties would speed them up. It ended up makeing a world of difference. More recently someone I know that has always wore 20 lbs of lead and still had to bend in half on faster dives went to Booties after around 9000 jumps. She is a great skydiver, but the booties helped her out with fall rate. It helps with a backsliding problem rather than having their legs extented out.
