  1. Well folks, how times change. Up until this thread I have never harbored any bad feelings toward Gay people. Why would I. I really don't know any very well, but most of those I have met have been good people. I have been drinking/ partying with gay people, and although I have never got to know them, I can't say I havn't enjoyed myself around them. (Except one in particular) Now since this thread I have spent a fair amount of time trying to learn about the gay culture. I spent time on a couple of Pro-Gay websites looking for knowledge. I expressed some concern for how the Gay people in this thread are were portrying themselves to people like myself that have limited exposure to Gays and guess what. I get called Stupid by one of the first Gays to respond to my post. I do know much more about gays than I did a week ago. I have read studies on various aspects of the gay culture, and/or studies comparing gay's to hetro's I have learned quite a bit from this thread as it forced me to do a little reading on the subject. I did not post on this thread until it was 8 pages long. I just wish I would have never came across this thread and had my feelings altered. It makes me feel bad. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  2. They have challanged that very type of statement. Asked for facts, proof, ect. You need to read through this thread again That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  3. Mabey you should as they have challanged people to back up that very type of statement. Go and read the first four pages. >Well, something certainly is. I hope you don't represent the gay community. I came in to this thread with an attitude that I could care less if someone is gay. Why would I? That attitude is changing fast. And that is a personal attack! That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.

  5. Read other post. Their is a HUGE difference between not Knowing any Gays, and having never been in contact with any. Talk about hearing what you want to hear. What the fuck Also it was supposed to read many gays, not any gays That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  6. This is not true according to many gay people. They have said in this thread that they are not at higher risk. It so stupid it's insulting That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  7. First off Bill I never said I have never Met any gays, I said I did not know any. I have met plenty of gays. Second it was a typo as I was rushing out the door. I missed the M on any. It should have read I don't know many gays. What a difference one letter makes >Now that's funny! Will you get enlightened about how murderous all arabs are next? I have know idea what this means. I have known or met plenty of arabs throughout my life, most of them seem like pretty good people. I can't see them in denial about some of the Arabs that are part of terrorist groups. I guess I don't know what you mean That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  8. A statement simalar to that was made by I assume a non gay and now have 9 pages of people trying to contradict it. Most of them providing data that further proves it is true. Most of this thread was because the gays claimed a hetro was wrong when he made a similar satement. It' fucking crazy because the data is so lopsided I don't understand how they/you can even argue about it. That's all That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 9. Let's not forget that the estimated Gay population in the US is somewhere between 1 to 4% sepending on who you listen to. Soulfire- a right activist group? estimates 1-2% of women and 3-4% of men. Many other groups consider the number much lower. So if even 5% of the population account for lets say 50% of the new cases, does that really mean they are at a higher risk? Apperently not if you ask them. I am learning a lot about gays in this thread from the people arguing from their side, and it is not very positive. I really don't know any gays in life so this has been very enlighting to realize how defensive and in denial they are. Interesting. 10. Yep, My Buddy and I downplane a 84 & 96ft2 at relatively the same loading. We have also landed a Compressed Bi-Plane.(Not a Stack). Josh That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  11. Yes I agree and knew where he was coming from.. I just got a bit off topic on the other issue. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  12. I disagree however. Having a Cypres is something people should be aware of and act accordingly. I would have had at least one cypres fire if not two if I jumped one. That could get expensive not to mention dangerous. If I got one I would surely change a few things, mainly decision altitudes and when to go straight for silver. 13. I find this not to be the case. At least not among those that are vegetarian because of animal rights. In my experience they tend to engage in conversations about hunting and other animal rights issues that leave a very bad taste in my mouth.(unlike meat) What cracks me up is vegetarians that don't want to eat the poor animal but will eat fish. Nothing dies a slow horrible death as does a fish. It takes many hours for them to slowly suffocate once out of the water and then they still live for a bit after they have been completely filleted. Have you ever seen a walleye that is just head and spine still breathing and trying to move with no muscle left? If your going to give up meat for animal rights reasons, fish should be toward the top of the list. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 14. Are you purchasing a pre-built machine or building your own? For true high end gaming, building your own machine is the best way to get the maximum perfomance for the dollar. Still an AMD XP or 64+ with a AGP 8X will be much better than what you are running now. I just built a nice 64+ system for a buddy with an AGP card that running awesome. If I was building I would go with the PCI E platform. There are several nice mb's to choose from. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 15. Fish are cool but are more maintenence than you have been led to believe. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  16. As far as not having to feed every day there are a few others that come to mind. A Snake. How about a Bearded Dragon? They are pretty low maintenence. But really. You can leave a well behaved cat for up to a week with now worries. Leave the toilet seat in case they spill the water. If your going to be gone for a week I would suggest putting a second litter box next to the main one as some cats will take a shit right next to it if it get to full. This is of course assuning you are not allergic to cats. Cats can be a pain in the ass when they want attention sometimes, but they are probably the most low maintenance animal you can have. We have two and leave them for extended weekends all the time. My dog on the other hand spends very little time alone. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 17. I phycho packed for awhile. Probably have around 300 packjobs with that method. No idea how many really, but I do know that I am much faster on a Pro pack any day if the canopy is a tight fit in the container. It's great for those who have a fairly loose fit, but I will pro pack a brand new canopy in a tight fitting D-bag anyday over a phycho pack. 18. Absolutely. Although unless you are into High end Gaming you won't notice the difference yet. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  19. And one really bad one. Battlefield Earth It was a pretty good book I thought, but I could have walked out of the movie. Actually, I'm not so sure I didn't. The funny thing is John had wanted to do this movie for a long time and it was kind of his pet project. One of the worst films I have seen. Might have been a tad better had I not read the book which I enjoyed That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  20. Yet it happens. Do you read the papers? Have you ever turned on the TV? How about the Judges family that was killed in their house. Do you really think they went looking for trouble. They are just not as smart as you though doc? Jim asked "Some people, those usually referred to as the gun-nuts, just think it's better to be prepared when the shit hits the fan. Why would anyone want to deprive them of that?" I don't understand myself. Your only answer is because you are so smart you have avoided confrontation. Get a clue, most people avoid also. But what the hell is wrong with having a gun under the seat of my truck for those times when I am on the South Side, Calumet, or down in South St. Louis. I know the chances of me needing it are so slim. I had my truck surrounded once down there though and despise going back, but my job takes me there. It would sure suck to leave my Wife and unborn child behind because I have to travel to some of the worst areas around and decide to follow the letter of the law. 21. This is not what he said although the numbers you supplied certainly do support this. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! It was just on the downwind side.
  22. >While you are literally correct, the odds are not much better with heterosexual contact. (only 18% greater.) Have you gone completely nuts Bill? The last time I checked there was WAY more heterosexuals than gays. Rethink your math. Gay's are at a much higher risk accrording to your own data. MUCH. DO you ever stand down and admit your wrong? 23. I think B-12's are great for young swoopers that are in over there head. When it's only a matter of time before they hammer in and need medical emergancy personal, the B-12's will provide easy access out of the rig before the trip in the chopper/ambulance. If they come back to jump again they may not have to have as much work done to repair the harness. Josh That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue! 24. Anybody else in NW IL. go to the annual Gat gun shoot? They had factory reps there with all the new guns and some great deals as well. The best deal was a SA 1911A1 Loaded for $499 or a Loaded Operator for $599. The best part of the show was that you could shoot any hangun you wanted to and you were only required to pay for the ammo. It was a Zoo early Saturday but I was able to shoot several different types of Firearms. You could just keep trading it in for another gun and keep shooting as long as you want. You could chose from the manufactures guns or the stores guns. Anything from a .22 to a .50 The largest I shot was a .44 Mag Ruger Red Hawk One thing I learned is that you don't want to be anywhere near the S&W .50 cal at an indoor range when it is being discharged. You really need both ear plugs and muffs to tolerate this firearm. I just had muffs and it hurt! The funniest thing I saw was a guy in the lane next to me with a magnum Semi-auto (Desert Eagle?) and a laser sight that appeared to be mounted in the return spring shaft area. I actually could not see the laser on the gun, but it was on the paper. He must have fired 8 to 10 rounds at the paper target from about 50 feet (mabey less) and did not even get on the paper!! He brought it in to about 25 feet and got on the paper. It was a good time and a great chance to shoot many different types of handguns to really get the feel of what fits you the best. Sadly, I did not buy anything as I could not make up my mind. Now I really wish I would have bought the 1911 just for the deal even though it was not really what I was looking for. 25. If you like Two Hearted, try some of Michigan Brewery's IPA. Arguably one of the best IPA's in the country with Bells on the short list also. Try and stop by some time, they always have it on tap if you are ever in the area. It is their signature beer so to speak. That spot isn't bad at all, the winds were strong and that was the issue!
