  1. Yes! Skydive Palatka's very own, Current Freefly Big-Way World Record holder, and all around great guy, Mr. Tom Hayden will be handling the Freefly organizing duties... however, I know there will be some other hardcore freeflyers coming for the boogie. Additionally, Angela Hsu (Delirium Freestyle) will be on hand to organize Pink Mafia initiations for the ladies (Sorry Chuck ) and I'll be there jumping my ass off coaching/organising smaller head-up groups in between any AFF's or camera flying duties I may be doing. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  2. Here's a couple of shots Jim Harris took of Angela and I doing a little freestyle over Skydive Sebastian. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  3. Wow... now that sums it up perfectly! Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!

  5. Just wanted to add that the dates, according to the DZO's newsletter, were November 9th-12th, and the SkyVan has been confirmed to be flying that weekend. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  6. Seriously, I spat coffee all over my computer screen when I saw that! . That's about right though... have 64 hours to complete by the 1st of next month. Well, my options were pick trash on the side of the road, or work at a recycling center. Since Ian already promised to drive down from ATL to ORL to take a picture of me picking trash on the side of the road, I figured I'd save him some gas and go work in the recycling center instead. But I'll be sure to take a pic of myself neck-deep in recycling shit for you Ian!!! F*cking speed limits! Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  7. ...my friend, you just might, since it doesn't look like I'll be making it! LOL... Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  8. Well, if the shirt you have for me is tight enough, it may force Ian to downsize his spandex shirt just to try to match my speed and canopy piloting prowess. One of the first things I learned from him, it's not about the pilot, or the wing, it's about the tightness of the shirt. Just look at how the swoop turned out (2nd picture) when my shirt wasn't as tight as Ian's, and the resulting drag threw my balance point way off! Ya know... if you and Scott would've bought a house already, I'd be meeting you in CO! That settles it... it's all your fault! LOL Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  9. It only took me four years... I just hung out in the town to work for another 3 years after graduating. Furthermore, Sophomores were fair game as well! The ticket, with all the other additional fines is ending up to be about $2600. So that, and the mortgage industry going to hell in a handbasket has my budget a bit tighter than usual. At any rate, I'm still trying to work a couple things out after much harassment from my fellow CPC competitors, Mr. Drennan, McNenny, Kaz, and now YOU... so who knows? if everthing falls into place with a couple mortgage transactions i'm working on, I may be able to make it after all. LOL...I may be eating Ramen Noodles & homeless after that, but you still have that camper at Z-Hillz, right?? Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  10. LOL...after I read that I decided to add up my expenses from that ticket (actually, it was a notice to appear in court, which technically means I was arrested, according to my lawyer). The tally so far is up to about $2600, between attorney fees, court costs, and probation fees. . Well, I got voicemail from Bryan Buechler (SE CPC) telling me he heard I had a Porsche for sale. LOL. So, who knows, if I can get a deal I'm working on at work to close before the competition, I may be able to swing it at the last minute. ...and just to keep the thread on topic, I agree with your statement about not liking the idea of 1st place being the only one to take the $$. Though it's not a motivating factor for me at this point in my competition career, it has been very nice BONUS when I have won prize $$. However, the reality is that others have different motivating factors. The people that organize these events are doing it as their job, and as such, compensate themselves from the entry fees. And for many competitors, swooping is a full time job, and prize $$ may definitely factor into their decision whether or not to compete. Does it bother me that Jay Mo is jumping a canopy that is not commercially available at this time? Not in the least. Because I know that I can still learn so many things from seeing him fly that wing, and picking his brain about technique, etc. I compete to learn from my brothers and sisters, and to gather knowledge that I can pass on to others that are also interested in all forms of canopy flight. I compete to push MY OWN boundaries. If at the end of the day my efforts win me some skrilla, then that’s just icing on the cake! Cheers! --Jairo (Happily accepting donations to the "Jairo needs to get his ass to Colorado for the CPC Championships" fund)
  11. OMG... Here's the final nail in the coffin: When I got caught, I was actually following behind a silver Honda Civic that was doing at least 110!! Fuckers pulled me over and let him go! Well, at least I wasn't on my Motorcycle. --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  12. What kills me is that the thought that ran through my mind as I walked out the door was, "I made it to the competition at The Farm and back (15 hrs of driving) without getting a speeding ticket...it would really suck if I got one going to the dropzone that's closest to my house!" --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  13. Ugh! Fucking Speed Limits! Unfoturnately, the ticket I received on the way to the last competition of the SouthEast CPC is gonna keep me from attending the CPC Championships this year. I can't tell you how disappointing it is, after competiting all season with me new brothers and sisters, that I will not be able to take my game all the way to Colorado. Yep... When I was caught, I was going 105 mph on a 65, which landed me a court-appearance for Reckless Driving. The good news is that for $1500, my lawyer was able to get the criminal charges dismissed (after much fighting with the judge that was recommending jail time) and keep points off my license. The bad news is that on top of the $1500 for my lawyer, I have about $900 in court costs, aggressive driving classes, and bullshit fees, 20 days of community service, and 6 months probation. Needless to say, that the CPC Championships are gonna be a bit outside my budget this year. I need a drink! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  14. That rocks! And what a magical number!! Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  15. Ummm... I'm definitely surprised no one's chimed in on this one yet! Anyway, I went ahead and fixed it fer ya. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  16. I've gotta say that the helmet is aweomse in every sense. I really wanted something that was safe, versatile, light, and solid. This weekend I used it to jumps that each reqired a different set up: shooting vertical stills with HD video, horizontal stills, and even vertical stills with external flash & HD video.
  17. LOL...Thank you Sir! Overall, I love the camera, however, I'm still getting used to it not being as user friendly and (linear) editing friendly as my good old Sony PC-100. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  18. Nah...that's the standard summer forecast for Florida: Scattered afternoon T-Storms. That's what the forecast was for last weekend, and it turned out to be a great weekend! But more drinking is never a bad thing... Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  19. Yes, this is still on. See my post above. :^) Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!

  21. What's up! Just wanted to add a bit to what Art has already posted
  22. I'm planing on being out and doing some jumps (likely Hop-N-Pops) on Friday... not sure yet if I'll be staying Friday nite though. I know Eric Florio, Tom Hayden, and Kathleen are gonna come out Friday as well, so there should be a great group of people out on Friday. Cheers! --Jairo Low Profile, snag free helmet mount for your Sony X3000 action cam!
  23. It amazes me how many people I see on any given weekend landing with their brake lines completely twisted up--you can see the twists in the brake lines even when they're 50 ft off the ground. What's even more amazing is how they're surprised that you can see the twists by just looking down the line! I set my own brakes, stowing the excess. I also undo any twists after EVERY jump (I jump a Velocity 90). It's extremely easy to do. After landing, and making sure no one's about to take me out on their landing approach, I look down the length of the brake lines. It's very easy to see when there are even 1 or two twists. I undo the twists, set my brakes, stow the excess, look around for any oncoming traffic, and make my way to the packing area. Undoing the twists this way after every jump doesn't even add 10 seconds to the routine.
  24. Hello! Below you'll see some pics of how I have my HypEye (older model) & Optima LED arranged on my ring site.
