I say go for it. It took me forever to decide to get one and then even longer to create something that I wanted with me forever. You've seen mine so let me know if you want to know the artist, he's in Houston. I was able to describe to him what I wanted with the aid of a few pictures and he did the actual drawing itself and then scaled to just the right size. I absolutely love mine. Like has been said though, they are addictive, like body piercings for me as well, and I know I'll be getting another eventually. Good luck. Christina

I have a question that's been brewing in my mind lately. You're getting ready to jump with some new people, either RW or freefly, and the inevitable question comes up, "How many jumps do you have?" That's all fine and everything for getting a feel for peoples experience levels. And of course lisences, ratings, etc are all jump number based. And a tandem rating also requires 3 years in the sport and all that. So how do you feel time in the sport relates to experience level? For instance comparing a person who's been in the sport 6 months and has 300 jumps to a person in the sport 3-5 years and has 300 jumps. If that's all the information you had about them would you treat these two people the same or would expectations be any different? And this would relate to freefall skills, canopy skills, general skydiving knowledge, etc. Christina

12:10:0 12 times I called the emergency maintenance line for my apartment since my a/c stopped working on Saturday and 12 times no one called back, equals one very hot and pissed off me! (My thermostat said it was over 90 in the apartment and I live in an old place so all the windows are painted shut!) 10 fun jumps Thur, Fri and Sat, none on Sunday due to the very high winds. I don't honestly remember but I know it's 25+ drinks in combinations, of beer, shots, and mixed drinks. I've had a hangover last 2-3 days a couple times. That was bad. And I always say, "I'm never drinking again!" but it's never worked. Christina

Well, I used paint to crop it and shrink it down (using stretch and attirbutes) but then I couldn't save it as a jpg so I saved it as a bmp and then opened it in microsoft image composer and resaved it as a jpg.

Yeah, I was just looking at the FAQ and saw the question on "How do I display an icon by my post" and I probably saw it when I first registered but didn't pay that much attention. So I decided to give it a try and had a co-worker take my pic with my pumkin hat on today and it took some doing to get it to the right size and everything, but voila I have a picture by my posts! Yes, I think the FAQ is very helpful. Christina

Actually, I think it's the double eagle and double falcon awards that are going away. And the requirments to get a falcon or an eagle will be increased to what it is now to get the double version. This is USPA related. The SCR and SCS are not USPA related. I haven't seen anything about them changing. I sure hope not! Christina
