Asian Prince I wrote into the website a long time ago saying I was going to kick his ass because I don't like foreigners. I attached a picture of myself and a friend in halloween costumes and it was posted when I ran into the site last year. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Your friend should know better than to have a malfunction on the sunset load. You know what the BSRs say about that. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

You're gonna have to see the big picture on this one. Your DZ and many other's can do you right by protecting their and your assets. If someone who lost gear wants to borrow my old Turbo ZX 185 for a while then I'll pay for the shipping. I doubt it so what I have to offer is engineering, since that's what pays the rent. Take it or leave it. There's not much you can do about an existing facility but if a new one is coming in then keep fire protection in mind. It won't cost much more and it'll save a possible repeat of what happened at your DZ. PEACE, "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

To repeat myself once more all over again. This outpouring of good will is great but: PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN INSURANCE A 1 hr fire rated barrier may be made with 1/2" Type-X gypsum wallboard on framing. This means that the wall will last for one hour under flames and will then be able to withstand the blast of a fire hose at the 59 minute mark. Better ratings may be achieved with further layers of rated gyp board, a rated filler, and various other combination. This is easy info to find on the net and anyone with a permit to build can figure out how to do this. If you or the DZ still wants fire insurance then this should keep your premiums down. Hey guys....tits up is just a saying. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Reminds me. The last weekend I was out jumping I deployed and then before turning back to the DZ diagonal across the flight path I looked for the girl who should have been deployed near me. Waited, waited....hung on rear risers. Finally at about 2k I made her out crossing the taxiway and landing her light green canopy. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

That's one way of doing it, but better to stop a fire in the first place. When this place is rebuilt I recommend that Elsinore consult a professional engineer or architect about fire protection. This is very easy to do and is more practical to skydivers, most of whom will not insure their gear, even if it's their income. This doesn't have to include a sprinkler system, just fire rated partitions around the video rooms or gear rooms. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"i'm pissy and get bitchy about everything (usually for no reason) " Snopes.com confirms this true. Bettina does fly off the handle. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"Doug, come jump with me. You'll see me as real. Real fast. As in fall rate. " Then why did you post a hoax that a dropzone burned down? Ok, I can't keep this up. Michele, I'm giving you shit. This thread was obviously a joke. Don't get bent out of shape. I do think that's good of you to help out with helping your fellow jumpers. So is Michele really trying to scam us? Did anyone check her IP address or whatever? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

"No respect for other peoples property! " I think that's hillarious. It's not someone's property. It's a friggin rental. The company who rented it to her is getting free press, they have nothing to complain about. Yeah, Paris is not attractive. Her sister has all the looks and talent. Bring a roll of egg crate foam over and ask them to tape it to the back of the head board. Get the conversation on video. Send me a copy. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

You left out the actual reason: G Bush was trying to rally the anti-terrorism campaign since the efforts to find Bin-Laden were at a standstill so he overstated the existence and intent of a WMD program in Iraq to trick the mostly unintelligent American public into agreeing to go to war. Seriously, if he'd just said, "We're taking out Hussein because he's guilty of crimes against humanity" then I would fully support him. I still fully support our efforts in Iraq but the reasons for the initial invasion were bullshit. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

Then if anyone got shot, you'd say, "Damn...he musta did something wrong. They spent fitty thousand dollars worth of bullets on him." Fuck that, I like guns. If you got a gun, you don't need to work out... "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

1) Tell me about your first skydiving experience. First of all, I was really drunk, so I can't take responsibility for my actions. But they made me sign a waiver, so they weren't responsible either. 2) What is the one thing that counts most in order to succeed at what you do? Monetary ignorance. 3) How did you personally get started in skydiving? Hey, it was the 60's, man... 4) What kind of failures have you faced over your career? Line dump resulting in bag deploying out one side resulting in slamming hard opening with tangly lines that I chopped. 5) How busy is the skydiving “industry”? We usually get busy at night...then we get REAL busy. 6) What emotions are typically present at a dive? Boredom for 20 minutes. Exhilaration for one minute. Jubilation for three minutes. Annoyance for 15 minutes. 7) What interests should a person have in order to become a skydive expert/instructor? Interest in trying to pick up chicks with their DZ instructor shirt. "That's right....Ice..man. I AM dangerous." 8) How has skydiving changed in specific areas since you have been involved with it? Gee, my whole three years...? Just more things I want to do. 9) Of the first-time jumpers that you have met, how many have been dissatisfied or disappointed with the experience? None, except one guy broke his tibia and fibia and it hurt the next day. Bummer, dude. 10) To whom would you recommend the sport of skydiving? Anyone willing to ignore the amount of money they have to shell out to get started. 11) Have you ever had fears about skydiving? Yeah, once I saw this guy's naked ass as he exited. I don't want to see that EVER again. 12) How is teamwork utilized in skydiving? If they do what I think they'll to then teamwork works. 13) Tell me a “wild” skydiving story! Once landed in a field full of horses and one cow. The wild thing was that I could tell that the cow thought it was a horse. I mean...how fucked up is THAT? 14) Can you teach me some skydiving “lingo”? Is this the first time you've asked that? "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I would love to find a dump with a good structure and go to work on it. I helped a friend strip and rebuild her interior and she made $150,000 profit on it. We took the place from a flop-house to looking like something out of a magazine. Edit: Granted, she was in an improving area. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher

I'm looking into buying a house and could use some help. Does anyone have suggestions for reading material to figure out the finacial aspects as well as the searching and realestate value aspects? Edit: I'm looking into a single family home w/ at least 3 bedrooms so that I can have roommates. "I encourage all awesome dangerous behavior." - Jeffro Fincher
