  1. You still don't get it, I see. Imagine going to a club. Upon paying a $10 cover charge, you receive two coupons, each good for $5 off a drink. The drinks' regular prices start at $8. Some consider it a penalty that they have to pay $10 towards two drinks just to get in the club. Others consider it a discount on their first two drinks, since they had to pay the $10 cover to get in anyway. Both groups are correct. It doesn't matter whether it's called a penalty or discount. It's the same thing. Just as we can look at the ACA tax as a penalty, we can consider the American Opportunity Credit to establish a penalty for not enrolling in courses at an accredited institution of higher learning. Likewise, the Saver's Credit establishes a tax penalty for not contributing to an IRA. A rose by any other name … This assumes I want to go to the club. 2. I have a wings, love it. The bag is a 190, and it packs tight as is. I could definitely go down (and will), but up? Not sure. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  3. http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/24/study-1-in-10-american-employers-to-drop-health-care-coverage/ "Almost one in 10 employers in the U.S. plans to drop health care coverage in reaction to President Obama’s health care reform, according to a study by the consulting company Deloitte. Eighty-one percent of companies surveyed intend to maintain insurance for their workers, while 10 percent remain unsure. Read more: http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/24/study-1-in-10-american-employers-to-drop-health-care-coverage/#ixzz21Zgyrhro" Doesn't sound like a good thing to me at all. But we did have to pass it in order to find out what's in it! There could never be a problem there! You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  4. I'm not changing the subject. I'm simply addressing your insinuation that the evil repubs are looking to supress voters by requiring ID and the valiant, noble democrats are only interested in making sure people can vote without hassle. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  5. I see your point. A group (AG of all people) that decides to throw away a slam dunk case of people using weapons to intimidate a polling place is okay, but a group from the govt that simply wants IDs is a heinous slight on humanity. Silly me! You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  6. Hmmmm. Where have I seen voter supression before in PA? Oh yeah! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neGbKHyGuHU You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  7. Sent to it Aerodyne, said it would be a quick fix and I'd have it back in 1-2 weeks tops. Apparently, they've seen it too :) You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  8. well, the chute itself is about 12 years w/ about 400 jumps or so. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  9. So will life in prison, but we also have the chance to get inside his mind, and that's what I'm all about. If he's still alive, there's always the chance he could kill someone again You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  10. Could little bits of rust have gotten into the fabric and that continued to wear it out? Or enough damage was done that my continued use pulled it free? I only ask because my rig is relatively new (
  11. Just curious. My rigger hadn't. Happened on my last jump of day. D-bag & pilot chute gone :( Apparently, the d-bag decided to pull through that loop on deployment (the stitching held, as you can see). Going to call aerodyne and see what it costs / time to fix. Anyone have an idea what the cost will be? (just curious on this as well) You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  12. Banning the manufacture and sale of assault weapons to consumers in the United States would. No it wouldn't. Not in the least. He had 1 shotgun, 1 AR-15, and at least 1 glock. So at best, 1/3 of his arsenal was a scary "assault" weapon. Furthermore, a shotgun and a semiautos are as good, if not better, for CQB against unarmed people. The only thing the AR15 would have going for it would be larger clips, which of course, means practically nothing if the guy brings more than 1 pistol and/or loaded magazines. 14. George Zimmerman’s Story Continues To Shift I suspect spending more than ten seconds on the search (that's about all I spent) would probably yield other sources and/or examples. Wow... that site is really, really stretching to say Zimmerman is shifting his story. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  15. The President didn't kill a border agent, drug gangs did. The President didn't kill a terrorist without due process, there was a process, you just arent privy to it. Drug gangs given weapons by said President (or actions there of). Pardon me for wanting the President to have to follow the 5th Amendment. It should worry the crap out of anyone that the precedent has now been set that a POTUS can execute a US citizen solely because he's on the "naughty" list. Oh wait, I see where you're going. I mean, a govt would *never* abuse such a huge gain in power, right? A govt would never use this new found ability to silence opposition, make up things for the public to eat up, and then just dispense "justice" without a trial. Right? History totally flies in the face of my concern. I recant. /sarcasm You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  16. Well, its not like he killed a border agent or anything. Or killed a US citizen w/o due process... You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  17. Well, according to the story you linked, he didn't just answer the door with a "gun in his hand", he opened the door and pointed the gun at the cops. Admittedly, that's their side of the story, and the dead guy doesn't get a chance to tell his. (Remind you of another Florida case? ) What would the alternative be? The cops knocked on the door, decided, "Hey! Lets shoot this guy!" before he answers, and then blasted him when he does? And then the cops would also have been able to quickly find and grab his gun (assuming he had one, because at this point, he might not have), set it up so it looks like the guy had it on him, AND keep his girlfriend who was there at the time in the dark. 18. The "God's plan" comment is nothing new. People use it when convenient, deny its applicability when it is not. No more stupid than to constantly repeat the irrelevant "TM was an unarmed teenager." Weapons aren't needed by grown men to be extremely violent. Come on, this is GZ's first time telling his side at length in person. I think he appeared to be telling the truth, and other evidence (eyewitness and audio) supports it. Those that think he's lying, what evidence do you think supports that? http://foxnewsinsider.com/2012/07/18/videos-george-zimmerman-tells-his-story-in-exclusive-hour-long-interview-with-sean-hannity/ Apparently, TM plainly stated he was going to kill GZ. At that point, I don't think there's any question about it being a valid self-defense case. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  19. See an MD. Most rotator cuff injuries don't need surgery and you'll be fine with some prescript antiinflamatory and some rehab. That being said, continued wear and tear can make the problem worse at which point, they might need to go in an repair the damage. You really don't want that. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
  20. What? How on earth is keeping your money not creating jobs? If you got that money because you were something like the CEO, Board Member, upper officer, etc. you certainly helped create jobs. If you got that money because you invested prior money into a company, you certainly helped create jobs, etc. You've gone way out into left field to make those dots connect. 23. Drive and desire to change your circumstances probably plays a bigger role than IQ (baring the truly retarded). Studies into the cultures of the inner cities show an astounding lack of desire to better oneself, and there's a prevalent "crab in the bucket" syndrome that goes on as well. Ultimately, those who make that first step to try and "get out" have the choice to make to either get dragged back down or cut ties and move on. It's not an easy choice, but it's still theirs to make. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.

  25. Wendy P. My grandfather came over from Czech. when he was a kid. His family was dirt poor. Poor as in, he actually went blind at one point from malnutrition. He never went to college. He and his brother started a wire company (which is still in business) after WWII and he retired a millionaire + in the 80s. You stop breathing for a few minutes and everyone jumps to conclusions.
