I am having no problem finding gas . I use a private fueling station and all the tanks are full . I do pay a few cents a gallon more but when this shit happens I don't worry about getting gas . The nice thing about this service is that they do not accept credit cards so there is no wait .

I have already been to bridge day four times this year , I think I'll sit this one out .

Thanks JT , a lot of it has to do with the cameras I amshooting with . I also learned to get out of the auto mode of the camera and try the manual settings .

This is what the raw image file looked like when it is converted to a tiff file . Tiff files rock for editing as there is no compression at all . Believe it or not , this is the same image that I posted a few posts ago . I was blown away the first time I converted a file like this .

A friend of mine works there . He was looking at some of my medium and large format shots that I had been shooting for a while and said I should apply for an assistant job . I applied and got it . They sent me to learn photoshop , color managemnent and printer profiles . I go to Fuji school next month to learn the frontier machine and then to Lambda school . The guy that owns this company is spending an insane amount of money on new cameras and printers . I guess I lucked into this job as I have litle formal training in photography . The drawback to this job is the insane hours I work every week but I get drawn deeper and deeper into editing images and printing . I will post the original version of the waterfall photo so you can see it before I reworked the image .

We are doing beta testing and what a improvment it is over 7.0 . It will kick ass when released . It should be out next spring if not sooner .

We do high end commercial photography for advertising . It is a cool place to work if you can call what I do work . I have been here for about 5 months . We are close to 100% digital . I even get to play with Photoshop 8.0

I use transcend 2 gig cf cards . They are the 45x write speed cards . I shoot with at least 5 gigs of memory available to use . Micro drives are way to slow for as many shots as we take on a shoot . Even at the 45x speed we have lag time when every file is at least 10mb .

I don't believe that will buff out . That sucks ass , hope you get better soon .

Another shot from the new camera . This image was from a 150mb tiff file . This camera rocks . This was shot after the sun went down and was exposed for a long time . Shot with a Tamron pro lens .

I wish I could post some hot chic photos but I would get shit canned for sure and I enjoy this job . We shoot models for print and "adult " sites and I am always having to make an adjustment to hide the wood . The smut people are so easy to please , you can shoot garbage and they love it . I have started to put some fine art shots together and will start selling them next spring .

I have looked at so many images today I am lucky I can still see . I will look for the face after some sleep .

I got my new Canon EOS 1ds today and went out to shoot sunset backgrounds for a custom photo project at work . This camera rocks . It was a major pain to size it to fit here and lost some detail . Shot for 2 seconds at f8 with a Canon 24-70 L . It was shot in raw format and was a 16mb file to start with . I printed a 20x30 of this and it is awesome . Enjoy .

I want to see the rest of the ones in the ear of corn series

Here's a waterfall from a recent photo shoot . Shot on my Canon EOS 1DS .

Get the trtanscend card . It is a 45X and it is fast . We use the Canon 1ds at work and the transcend card works the best .

Where are the photos ?

Just kidding . I will look you up next time I am in Clarksburg .

When are they going to come up with a vaccine to protect Clay from his sheep -
That takes all the fun out of it . The get away with the park ranger on your ass is as much fun as the jump sometimes .

Yep , it's true about the 1.6 . Buy the Sigma 14mm aspherical ex lens , it rocks .

I would not try using a plastic knife in a $1500 camera . I do agree with the eclipse fluid statement and the quick sticks are flimsy for a reason, so you don't scratch your sensor . The company that does repairs for the company I work for will only use quick sticks and eclipse fluid .

http://www.photosol.com Look for the Eclipse fluid and the sensor swabs. First set the camera to sensor clean , make sure you have a full charge on the battery or it wont work . Once the mirror is locked up you put a couple drops on the sensor swab pad and you are ready to go . Start on the top of the sensor and move to the right . Turn the sensor swab over and go to the bottom of the sensor and go back to the left side . It s that simple . If that does not do the job repeat with a NEW CLEAN sensor swab. DO NOT APPLY the eclipse fluid directly to the sensor , DON'T DO IT and NEVER reuse a sensor swab . Once you are finished use a hand bulb blower to help dry the sensor . Eclipse contains methyl alcahol and do not smoke while using this product . BTW we also use this to clean our Leaf 22 megapixel backs on a weekly basis . If they are good enough for a Leaf they are good enough for a Canon .
