    I'm very afraid of heights. I cannot stand on the edge of drop off, like a roof (even the second story) or cliff w/o getting severe vertigo, yet I have never been afraid of heights in an airplane. My first jump was my first airplane ride. I attribute this to the fact that there is nothing connecting you to the ground visually in a plane (or free fall or under canopy), as opposed to looking over a precipice. A different set of survival mechanisms perhaps in one's brain? I can, and have come really close to the edge of buildings and cliffs (I hate letting fear rule too much) and all the vertigo makes me want to do is jump. Weird dichotomy. I can see the attraction of base jumping, but it makes no sense. It's not like I'm willing or able to jump of it. It's more like that's the inevitable outcome. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

    I've never used one, but I can tell you a steak or piece of chicken will thaw in a water bath before even a few hours. Can you put it in an ice bath to extend the safe zone when preparing it for a work day unattended? lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB 9

    Mr.owc6 and I met naked in a hot tub. Instant lust then, and over 35 years later, we are still going strong. An entire Marine Corp career (following him across the globe), two kids, and the inevitable ups and downs. In fact we were naked in the hot tub tonight.     For me, it was this balloon. I live in Maryland, so the fact that this balloon made it this far w/o popping was pretty amazing! Over 650 miles. I googled the address and if it came out via I66, it would have been exactly 666 miles, which is not only weird, but creepy. How about the rest of you? None of the children could identify the taste. The teacher said, 'I will give you all a clue. It's what your mother may sometimes call your father.'
