  1. Hmm, been on DZ.com for almost 4 years now, and a grand total of 20 posts.. Must be some kind of record. Eugene "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
  2. I twisted my ankle pretty badly on jump 2, tore some ligaments and was hopping around on one foot for two months. (Old injury, did the same a while before that while hiking/climbing in the jungles of malaysia.) Didn't stop me fencing at a competition three days later and doing 3 more jumps a week later... Not recommended at all really But what can you do? Option1: resist temption and let it heal. Option2: give in and have fun. I was weak.... Eugene "In the beginning the Universe was created. 3. I clean and lube mine every 30 days, give or take a few, followed by a full line check. Gives me a chance to peel and pull the cutaway pad (actual practice instead of going through the motions) and flex the webbing. But then, i'm the type of guy who goes through the cutaway drill wherever i have a minute to spare and religously check my pins and handles. Eugene "In the beginning the Universe was created. 4. They had the CCI (chief instructor ) of one of the biggest DZ in the UK on the program talking them through. He's an RAF instructor as well, teaches Paras to jump. Eugene edited to add: DZ referred to above is a military DZ run by the Royal Air force. "In the beginning the Universe was created. 5. Hmm, my two cents worth. As far as i know, a door opening mid flight isn't very healthy for a commercial airliner in general. The doors are not designed to be opened into the airflow and opening it at that kind of speed the door isn't going to stay attached for long. Damaging the airframe as it rips off and causing a whole lot of trouble. If the aircraft is in an emergency bad enough for me to want to bail out, the pilot is going to have a difficult enough time controlling the aircraft without someone go around opening doors and making things more difficult. 6. The people from DZ sports runs Dirtdive.net now, though they are still two different sites. Both are good places to buy from IMHO. E "In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
