  3. There's another way to stop the "War on Drugs". The dopeheads actually stop using the stuff. Imagine how much that will decrease the violence, lower costs associated to fighting it and clean up some communities if there's a considerable drop in demand. . . Naah, the recreational users would never do that. Easier to push a "solution" that benefits them. and if only people would stop having sex outside of marriage - or getting drunk, or gambling, or taking up risky sports... We have a "War on infidelity, inebriation, poker and skydiving"? Although, just like recreational users, some of these activities can bring its drama onto other peoples' lives who don't want it. by your logic they should be illegal too. then we can start a 'war' on them... By your logic, drugs should be legal. Continue to cause hurt and discontent, even death to others so you can "express your liberties" (get high). Very selfish. Mexico is decriminalized. Their issues got worse. Didn't work there. that's because mexico has a long land border with a country that is a huge importer of illegal drugs. mexico will be better off when that country gets the balls to change their racist founded 'drug' laws and not whine about what others do... Now you are getting it. We are harming other people by being selfish. No one use drugs, no demand. No war on drugs. No drug violence. No addictions. We can change laws(won't decrease harm) or cause laws to be obsolete. Of course neither will ever happen. One's extrememly risky and the other, you can count on douchbags to be self-serving. This is evidence that "legalize" arguments are naive and/or self-serving. They have the gall to say it's the "laws" that cause it and completely ignore personal ongoing behaviors that continue to validate these laws in place, irrelevant of the racist origins. so we've all got to stop drinking because you say so. you'd have thought that you'd have learned from that failed experiment on turning back the tide of human nature. but obviously not. there are still 'absolutists' who believe that the future of people is forever and forever without drugs - dream on laddie. hundreds of thousands of years of human history tell us otherwise... ?? I've already been telling you it's impossible. Again, the whole "everyone should stop doing drugs and the war will end" statement is just a point that exposes drug users self-serving attitude. alcohol is a drug and so should be illegal by your definition. thinking that people are going to stop using drugs because another group of people (for racist reasons) say they can't is a denial of human reality. you might as well ask everyone to stop having sex - ain't gonna happen - ever. We've already had this commentary of human habit and reality. You are repeating both yourself and what I have already said. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  14. I voted "boobies" because though I own both types, I use them about the same amount. It's all about what I am in the mood to put up with for the day. Looks like stop and go traffic or want comfort? I take the F150 (automatic King Ranch edition). Want to save fuel and "feel busy"? The Saab, which is stick. And yes, I suffer the "Phantom Shift" in the truck. Funny that I don't "Phantom automatic" _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  15. Great. Now they are incubating crud as well as annoying the crap out of everyone. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  16. No. Actually, it doesn't. Being a US citizen carries no special weight in regards to targeted killing of terrorists. Oh, ok, so you, like Amazon, approve of the POTUS ordering the execution of US citizens without giving them their day in court? The irony of you, and her, accusing others of abandoning the Constitution is astounding. I do. Because he is not protected under due process of the law. 14th amendment prevents States and local laws from taking away those rights. Nothing about the United States or any "Federal" language. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  17. Don't need to. He wasn't indicted for crimes inside the U. S. If you want to wait some years till the proceedings become unclassified, you will get your answer, possibly in the standard 20 year wait. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  18. Do you think he knows the bare basic degree requirements of skippers and officers of Ballistic Missile nuclear subs and their sister Fast Attacks? Deadliest machines of war ever built by mankind. Can't even screen for a Commission without one of a few qualifying engineering degrees. They are the most trustworty Trekkies to walk this planet. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  19. AAhhh. . .you got my you clever guy! Boy do I bitch on these forums. But seriously, venting on a forum while doing something about what's causing my venting isn't very visible here. For example, I bitched about whiners here, but I have solutions for the whiners that affect me in real life. I give my "whiners" resources and the tools to help themselves out. I also put them in position to be responsible for their lack of actions and even give them opportunities that put them in a position in which they have to provide fixes. After a while, they get it as they see concrete purposes behind working the problem out vice sitting in a corner and bitching. Mostly it works and they grow up to be a useful part of the team. Sometimes though, you can't force a horse to drink water by sucking on it's asshole. They usually get out after their enlistment and work at an auto parts store. They are in a less dangerous area to have their fantasies of injustices at. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  20. Also to add. . . Anyone that has spent any amount of years in any of the five Services knows instinctively that taking a problem to the table with out a plan of what you are going to do to fix it is a huge failure that will get you nowhere but ignored or even yelled at for such stupidity. It's the bare basic way of leadership and productivity. Thats why I call these guys retarded. They should feel some sort of dissonance for belonging with such a group. Only a useless whiner should feel at home there. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  21. It's all right. It's easy to mistake whining as a real fix. If you want to cause reform, you have to put in the work for it. Camping out and protesting to force other people to work those reforms is by far the most retarded thing to do. Veteran or not. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  23. You know what? I would like to see the fitreps and evals of those vets who participate in the OWS. I am positive they will reflect at best an average to below average marks. Every unit, company, division has at least one or two of them types: whiners who didn't want to do the work and bitched loudly about it. Always complains about everything, and never without volunteering a possible fix to the problem or perceived problem. Totally useless types that cost man-hours babysitting and diciplining. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
