    Advent calendar?

Years in Germany as a child has influence on my holiday decorations. I still have a good portion of my parents christmas tree ornaments from that period. I remember going shopping for them at wood ships around Heidelberg. I didn't bring those nutcrackers back with me though. My father-in-law gave them to us last christmas and they don't have any signatures or markings like our ornaments. I'm assuming "made in china for walmart" jobs here. You can see slight hammer marks underneath the paint underneath the base _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

    Advent calendar?

Got one myself. Chocolates behind doors except the 25th. A stuffed animal. Here's a photo of mine on the fireplace. It makes my daughter's day.

I built a .50 about 35 years ago. It was a CVA kit. Always been interested in building one of those. Muzzle loaders, punt guns and double barrel shotguns have always fascinated me. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  5. I wonder if they will auction off those extra Maxxpros. Sans armor, they make a good somewhat off-road vehicle to have. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

Oddly, they still seem to have gasoline. (Which my guess probably runs out MUCH faster.) Ehhh. . .crap. You're right here. The reality would have stopped the plot cold. You still could make biodiesel at farms. Gasoline would be hard to come by, but diesel engines can run forever. MadMax plot realism? Not so much. Thank you for shooting down my dream of meeting Aunty Entity. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  8. Dont be fooled. DSE is slightly taller than that. So you are saying that he doesn't have an issue with floating excessively. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  9. I've always liked the top hat with feathers in native american literature. Kind of reminds me of the Lost Boys motif. Great sculpture. Makes me want to meet DSE a bit more.

The Mad Max series touched up on this many years before. I remember noticing the absence of firearms in the last two movies and accepted it as bullets are an extreme commodity. Crossbows and compound bows are your friends. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  12. I couldn't care less that he's doing a bad job here. I'm not one to sell out one of my own Citizens to a foreigner just a sake for a laugh. Hmmm Well I guess if you really give a damn about what a foreigner thinks then you have a point I don't Just ask christelsabine if I care what a foreigner thinks On another note Had this been toward Bush would you have said the same? I can give a flying fuck what some russian fuck, or even a European fuck thinks about us. That's not the point. Obama is one of us, whether we like his policy or not. I would talk crap on him on anything to a fellow American. I would tell anyone else to go fuck themselves. . .he's our piece of crap. As far as Bush, the same thing. The dixie girls, chicks, bitches, whatever, called him out in front of a foreign audience. Same shit. They sold out one of their own. Pretty chicken shit to me. There's no apologist crap to display to any foreign nation here. Sorry you did not comprehend what I said the very fact I think this is funny backs what you said fuck them it is still funny though And that is what makes it funny Then it looks like I owe you one. My bad. (now if you will excuse me, I will jump into conclusions of my wife's calling me unromantic for not buying her flowers despite the several rose bushes I planted for her) _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  15. Quite a lot actually. But why would one trying to hide out participate in a very public venue? _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

  17. Probably most of those jobs will be taken by active duty military with ivy league educations or civillians with the same. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  18. this is where I disagree. Ask any active duty Service Member. Entertainment has always been one of the biggest, if not the most important thing to society due to morale. Hell, look at technology advancements outside of Science. It's mostly there to bring Entertainment more efficiently. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
  19. I remember one Turkey Boogie @ Perris, young and single, chowing down a triple decker at Wendy's in Perris for my Thanksgiving meal. I was skydiving, so who cared? We're having about a dozen people over, We'll have a 22+ pound turkey, brined, smoked, then slow roasted. I haven't tried the brined style yet. Still on the maple bacon kick.
  20. If I show up at your house, will you promise to not tell my mom in Placentia? Oh, wait, I have to get my son ensconced in an apartment in NY. So little time, so many coasts No problem My home is always open. Let me know
  21. Tactically located near Elsinore and Perris. If you are in the area, free Turkey!!
  22. I've done the bacon wrapped turkey about six times now. (three thanksgivings and christmases). Pointers: It's all about the temperature, not the time in the oven. Use meat thermometers that you can have in the oven. Put them in the area where the drumstick and body conjoin and have one in the breast area. Cook till 180ish in the thigh area. The breast will be higher by default. Make a judgement call to where the last 45 minutes of roasting will happen and peel the bacon off at that time. Otherwise it will burn to a crisp. Use bacon in your gravy or enjoy eating it. Love the bacon turkey stuff. I used maple syrup, butter, apples, grapes light amount of onions concoction for basting personally, but this recipe looks good also. _____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
