Surgery is done! Got there at 9:30 am and left at 3 pm...what a day! The people were great and totally understanding that I was shaking like a leaf from my nerves! Of course, I also had my sweetie there to hold my hand. I cringed through the IV being put in but once they added the sleepy stuff I was out. They gave me a spinal to numb from the waist down. They used a cadaver ligament to cut down on my healing time and save the strength of my other ligaments. I haven't seen it yet but I have a 1 inch incision that they worked through and 2 small holes. That's it! The next thing I knew I was waking up with a sore knee, my leg bandaged from mid thigh down and a high tech looking new brace. Granted, any movement makes it hurt like hell and the brace has to stay on, even to sleep. So far I'm taking the pain killers the minute I'm allowed but otherwise it wasn't so bad. You're right, I didn’t notice you looking miserable but I do believe you had some pretty good drugs keeping you smiling. I wish I would have asked Adam about a PT before he left. He works right in my area. How do you know if you have a good one? Jumped after 3 months huh? I thought you had said that. That puts me into October and if the weather stays nice…maaaybe. Thanks. I kinda figured that this season is done. I’m not happy about it but there’s not really much I can do now. What really sucks is that I just finally got all my gear in. My new HotBod suit actually came in the same day I got hurt! Now I have to wait till next year to jump it. I know I’m going to have to rehab hard but how soon till I can ditch the crutches? Yes, I am Officially Freaking Out!! My ACL surgery is now less than 24 hours away and my nerves are driving me crazy! This is my first skydiving related injury, which has now lead to my first surgery! The landing wasn’t anything spectacular. I flared a little too early and dropped down on my feet. I felt the impact in my knees and they gave out. I didn’t even think I was actually hurt, just thought I’d shake it off. Until the pain kicked in and I couldn’t get up off the ground. A trip to the ER, 3 ortho surgeons, a bunch of X-Rays and an MRI later…it’s a torn ACL. From what I understand a torn ACL is fairly common. Anyone else do this? How did it happen? Did you get the surgery? How long did it take to heal? To jump again? I’ve already chewed off all my nails and by this time tomorrow I won’t have any fingertips left! BettyAnn Getting married? I second this one! After 3 months of rain following all the snow and squeezing in jumps on sunny but really muddy days...I'm out for the rest of the season! (Torn ACL) That makes only 31 jumps for probably the whole year. BettyAnn Getting married? Check out my website!

That looks awesome! Go with the feet. It really looks great on the first one! You're right with how hard it will be to get a good hand print anyway. I would say to put it on the other arm. I do actually work for a telemarketing co (Don't shoot me, we just do surveys) and anything but home numbers are trash. I believe it is illegal to telemarket cell phones. (I've just heard this, no actual proof) I mostly use my cell phone and the quickest way to get them off the phone is to tell them they called your cell. Yep, that's the one that freaked me out the most! You couldn't get me to go down into the basement for anything! I lived in the very same house that I came home from the hospital to when I was first born until I was 21. Then in the next 4 years I moved 11 times! PA, DC, TX, PA, VA, PA...and moved around within those states a few times too. I even moved with 3 month old twins...in February. That was fun!
