Lisa is the BOMB! definitely a wealth of information in that head of hers...been doing this for a long time. hell, i walked out of her store with new stuff in my bag. for those going to sebastian later this month, HIDE YOUR MONEY or be ready to give it up without a fight. (and SHE really is Trouble. there's video to prove it.)

if you're staying at a hotel next to the tunnel, they sometimes have a free shuttle service to the hotel from the airport. i'm pretty sure the continental plaza does (the riande, for those that know it), best western movieland MIGHT. call 'em and see. when are you flying in? arlo

hola chica- you're gonna have FUN. :) what helmet do you wear in freefall? if you wear a protec in the air, wear a protec in the tunnel. the whole thing is about freefall simulation. wear the jumpsuit you wear in freefall. if you wear a different helmet or different jumpsuit, then you're adding variables which will take away from the learning. also, regarding knee pads, if your instructor asks you to wear knee pads, wear knee pads. the skyventure instructors are there for a reason - that's to help keep you safe. alot of people feel they are too "cool" or whatever to wear knee pads or earplugs. if you don't wear the earplugs, you won't be able to hear shit when you get out. why fuck up your hearing? anyway, listen to the skyventure instructors first and foremost. all the advice is great, but bottom line it's up to the instructor there to help you and they won't steer you wrong. just remember to smile for the video too. xoxo, arlo

if you're in the spartanburg area, go eat at the beacon. :) double chili-cheeseburger a-plenty is the way to go. it's about 7 miles off the beaten path (beaten path being I-26). that place has been around since dirt and last time i was there (few years), they still had curb service. if anyone knows, does JC (the dude that took your order and yelled at ya cuz he couldn't hear) still work there? the man was a legend. other than that, skydive in chester at skydive carolina (home of the rodriguez bros). oh yeah, if you're traveling south on 95, go to south of the border. realize what a waste of $$ the billboards were. if you're near the foothills (upper left side bordering NC and GA), take in some of the scenery. mtns are beautiful and the rivers are fun to raft. SC. i miss the scenery and i miss the beacon, but man do i LOVE the turbines, the tunnel, and 7-day-a-week dzs here in fl. :)

your brother is out of his head because of encephalopathy. it happens when the liver can't function correctly, can't process proteins and is part of end stage liver disease. the abdominal swelling is called ascites and is a fluid build up in his abdominal cavity. the liver produces chemicals in your body that help keep the "fluid" in your vessels. when it doesn't, the fluid seeps out and pools in the abdomen and appendages. that's why he's so swollen. alcoholism, hep c, all of it: same outcome. i wish your brother a passing where he's not afraid and in as little pain as possible. i'm so sorry to hear about this.

direct from skyventure corporate office as of 1:08pm EST: skyventure project is currently on hold. skyventure is ready to proceed, but the facility at which skyventure will be built (that extreme park) is in limbo right now. so bottom line is, right now we (skyventure) can't do anything until they (extreme park) do something. hope this answers that question with a period instead of a question mark. :) arlo
