  1. Quote-What do they have to rent? *** YES, they have GREAT student/rental gear. All NEW Wings containers from large harness to small, with all NEW Triathalon canopies from 220, 190, and down to 135's. The gear all has Cypres too. Rental helmets even have audibles in them. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  2. Lodi is 25 mins from where you'll be. They are always flying the fast Beech 99 on fridays or the Otter on the weekends, and jumps are $15 to 13,000ft. Big landing area next to the hanger and plenty of carpeted packing area, or packers if you need one? There's plenty jumpers to jump with too. I'll be there, so look me up. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  4. Jeff PLEASE feel free to ask me ANY questions you may have when I'm at the DZ. Posting on here may be a fun thing to do, but it may also be abit confusing if explaned wrong, or by the newbie skydiver that thinks he knows the right way? Read the fatality reports in skydiving and look at the leading cause of them these days? DONT be one of them friend, you have PLENTY of time in the future to try a high performance landing! Just practice landing safely for now! Like I said, I was your Instructor, and I will always be! Just lookin' out for ya www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  5. *** Though your skills have improved tremendously Jeff, alot more experience is needed for these loads. Start with alot of smaller laods like we did the other day and then work up. You did great! 5 points on a 5 way with under 50 jumps is awesome! Keep up the good work and you'll be there soon enough. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  6. Hi Gary, I don't think Bill is looking at the hard core RW jumper with tons of coaching or tunnel time for these organized loads. He is looking for jumpers that have experience in RW (jump numbers? you'll have to ask, but it's ablity that counts.) and is looking to expand their ability in doing bigger ways. There are select groups at the DZ that is only interested in having experienced large formation people on their loads and this will be designed to get the jumper to that level of doing BIGGER RW loads or having bigger loads of their own without any problems understanding them or flying on them. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  7. Did you have someone that is a BM dealer measure for you? Or did you do it yourself? www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  8. This is great for the upcoming jumpers that want to get on some better, more experienced loads.
  9. Bravo! I wish more realized this...um...problem. An Instructors rating before any advice is given would be better than giving advice that you think you may know. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  10. And just a note for those if your thinking of buying it. The single zipper suit is a BITCH to get your leg straps tightend with. Though the price is nice for the beginner.
  11. I leave tomorrow for Thailand. NOT looking forward to the 20 hour flight though But it will be worth the 18 days of jumping, and then flying to Phuket for 10 days of scuba diving! Nothing but blue skies and C130's Sector 4 C13 www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  12. Soon! Nothing but sunny skies and C130's! Oh ya, and all the Thai food I can eat www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

  15. After seeing some of my 1200+ past AFF students in this type of spin, I can tell you the delta position will not help in this case. Try to listen to an AFF Instructor, and not someone that is not trained to give the proper instruction as to how to stop a spin. It will help you understand better if you are able to accually see in person the correct body position, and the correct way to stop a spin. You may want to visualize and practice it on a horizontal trainer if you have one at your DZ also. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  16. Quotepainted clean concrete.*** A worn parachute is alot cheaper than full knee replacements I guess www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  17. It mostly depends on the environment you jump it in. Less sand. Less moisture. Indoor packing on carpet NOT grass. Less sunlight. The BETTER.... Talk to a rigger on your home DZ and let him see your canopy if your talking of one you are going to maybe buy, and he may tell of it's est. value.
  18. I have found that "any" canopy the you dont have to grab and steer with your risers though opening, is a good canopy for a wingsuit. Though my 80VX loaded 2.4:1 tends to start into a spin when I unzip my legs, any larger canopy that wont turn with alittle harness input will be just fine. www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  19. Try to slow your forward speed down just before opening by bringing your arms back and bending you knees up alittle, hold that position for a few seconds until you feel your forward speed reduce and your descent rate start to increase, and then pull. There's not much else to do but have a perfect body position when deploying a Stilleto, and just be able to unzip FAST AS F**K...... www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  20. Flyangel2 said it ..... This is the best way to get an invite to the BIG ways. Read Kate's article and send her an email. She would be more than happy to get you on an invite list for the next camp. If you dont aply yourself and make contacts, I can honestly tell you the invite to the BIG ways will never come..... Depending on where you jump may mean you have to travel to get on some good jumps also.
  21. Damn Bon, I could use a sponsor for Thailand next week? www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  22. FreeFlyer = Being able to hold a sit or head down position and intentionally docking another skydiver in freefall. Until then = FreeFlailer The funny thing is the AFF students I have gratuated in the last few years have all gone straight to what they call FreeFlying. But whats really funny is sometimes after seeing them do a couple hundred FF jumps and then getting to do a FreeFly jump with them, I have found that they cant even hold a head down and mostly just start with a head down on the beginning of the jump and cork, then just go into a sit for the rest of the skydive...... What they need to get better is coaching from a FreeFlyer to become one..... With being in the sport long before it was called FreeFlying, it was just called having alot of fun and going REALLY F**KING FAST Just my .02 www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  23. The DZ being a "group member" of USPA doesn't make any less safe as a DZ. Also, being a skydiver with a membership to USPA doesn't make you any safer. If you feel you USPA's guidelines are safe, then go by them at ANY DZ you are at whether it's a member of USPA or not! www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  24. How's this.... Every time you drive your car to work or where ever, and the only thing separating you from the other car coming at you going 65MPH is that little yellow line, you might want to pull over to the side of the road and wait for it to pass you? Because you never know if they are drunk, adjusting their stereo, picking up the CD they just dropped, or talking on their phone and not paying attention to the road. We do this everyday and not think twice about what can happen to us..... Dont be afraid of dying, be afraid of NOT LIVING! Keep jumping, be safe and enjoy life! www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
