Tandem Instructor Poll: (Intentional) Flips On Exit
bodypilot1 replied to slotperfect's topic in Instructors
sorry to butt in, but does your (you and everyone else) also vary on the customer? I liked the forward roll done when I tandem'd out of a cessna, and when I did the second one years later (King Air, I think), the TI went the other way for me and did a back flip, along with some hard spinning. I asked for a ride... *** From the seated position in the 182 Cessna with your back to the instument panel, it easy to do a diving exit with a student. Depending on how the instructor has his arms when he leaves will usually result in a front flip that is fun. If he extends his arms out straight over his head he can avoid the flip if he wants too. As for the King Air the door is small and the prop blast is strong, so a simple pop out the door facing the rear will get you a nice back loop. It takes some technique for every plane to get fun quality exits. The students participation also helps too. Be safe. - www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

I had a recliner that I had no room for when I moved once so I put it out by the road overnight with a "free" sign on it. The next day it was still there, so the next night I change the sign to "$100", and it was gone in no time! - www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Assuming it a USPA DZ, explain to him that she is only able to jump with an AFF Instructor or a coach until she has over 20 jumps and an A license. Then have an Instructor speak with him about his Instructing abilities.

May be a silly question.....

Some do fall fast depending on their flexibilty. I always stay very flexable and always wear my freefly suit, with the ability to fall fast or slow, just incase they deside to flatten out during the jump and float, or spin, which results in centificial force to pull their body flat, causing them to float. Assuming what the student is going to do before you get in the air with them, (ie; wearing a tight suit), may only lead to them doing a solo above you during the jump. It's much easier to fly arching hard then it is to fly trying to save you ass from going low. Dress for success! - www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com -

Hmmm, 80 jumps? You do have time away from the DZ to practice don't you? An overstuffed container is as bad as canopy thats too small for the container. I bet you reserve is smaller than you main too, isnt it? But your right, it the packers fault.... - www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com

Maybe they aren't discriminating Sarah. I bet if you show up at the DZ for more than 4 jumps in 3 yrs, like Hookit said, you be beating them off with a stick? - www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
