  1. Truthfully I chose, "I want a suit I can fly comfortably with others in!" Having an long RW past in skydiving, I enjoy flying tight formations with others, and with the wingsuit interest growing among the skydiving community I'd love to see some tight precision flying, taking multiple formations on a single jump, not just flying one formation the entire skydive. As I suspect, your mainly a base jumper, and I can why you would choose this. Good glide ratios will definitly get you a longer flight, should the area allow for the distance you are able to travel, and have a landing area you are able to possibly land in. In some cases I have seen though, a smokin glide ratio has lead to having to pull early to land in an area you are able to land safely in also. I suspect for the future, everyone will have mutiple suits for different disciplines in wingsuit flying. Myself having 4 different RW suits, 2 different FF suits, and 2 different tandems suits, I now have 3 different wingsuit. Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  2. Then distance means nothing to you. Correct. The person that buys the largest wing suit will have the suit "fly them" at times when trying to flock with others, I have seen it many times. Unfortunatly some flyers dont like to hear, on a big way flock, "Your suit is flying you!". Multiple suits for flocking, solo's or base will be the future I think too. ps. sat is Mike's memorial so I'll be out sunday. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  3. So this leads to the question. Are wingsuit pilots looking for long flight times or distance they can cover? Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  4. Yo Flockers With all the "hype" and "new designs" coming into the market on wingsuit, what are the main things you are looking for in a wingsuit? With every wingsuit flyer thinking they are flying the "BEST" wingsuit made, are you really thinking you can out perform, out fly or out distance any other brand suit on the market, in every aspect, when you put on that suit? Truly the proof is in the pilot with every suit, but mark in order what it is your looking for when you purchase a suit.
  5. It's a good thing your name doesn't start with a "D" Glad someone helped you out. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  6. And I heard they like guys that can't spell too!
  7. Actually this is the before pic.... Sorry JP, I had to... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  8. Bad visual dude.... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  9. I have to agree with Ckuck. If my students practice pulls and body position are good during a any release dive, there is no reason not to fly in front of them and show a smile or thumbs up to get them to relax, and help remind them that it's FUN and they are doing great.
  10. Try the rope attched somehow around the neck area? Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  11. Could you post some pictures of this feature Robert? Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  12. Gotcha Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  13. Scott Was this just a non inflatable rib added? Or was it modified into the actual wing section so it inflated? If so, that seems like a hell of alot of work to do the mod. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  14. Not always tho. A good pilot in a GTI can smoke someone in an S3. I have seen it. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  15. Your right Chuck. A couple months after I got my Skyflyer 1, and before the S3 came out, I added wing tip grippers to mainly fly on my back, since the wings lost pressure when inverted. It also increased the performance, so I suggested to alot of people here at the DZ I jump at that they should add these extentions or grippers to the Classics, GTI's or S1's they fly. I suggested they have Pete Swan do the mods I suggested and they work great. There was a very noticable increase in the performance of thier suits also.
  16. The proof is in the pilot. The wing tip grippers do look confortable for those that have grip fatigue. Thanks for the closer look at it.
  17. I have had only 2 cut away a good canopy. And it wasn't ever because they did the "practice emergency procedures" after they opened. The first one was because she didn't remember that the slider was supposed to be there, and couldn't push it back up, so she chopped it! The second was because I wasn't STILL HANGING ONTO HER after she opened! Be safe Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  18. I glad I have only seen him in his wingsuit then.... Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  19. The leg position on the S3 is wider then the leg wing on the S1, but I didn't think it changed the body position except to spread the legs abit more, maybe 4"? I attached a pic of the arm position and dont see to see any change, except the gripper drops down more? Would this be able to be adjusted by simply holding the grip tighter and bringing the arm down level or below the torso as your able to do on the S3? How can this be anything but a de-arched position or having you butt the highest point in relation to your flight angle? As it should be during ANY wingsuit flight! I hope Robert gets some demo out to fly.
  20. Could you explain how the position is any different to the S3? I found from jumping the MTR2 and the S Fly, they have totaly different arm extention with the hands facing the ground and the elblow more locked forward. So I'm curious as to why the body position change? Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  21. What did the graphics claim? In time and altitude? The graphics mean nothing. As Kim said, he flew from the top of the 3000ft wall, flying toward the cafe, and opened at 600ft with 60sec of flying time total. Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
  22. Thanks for the clarification Kim. The segment did have something of a cut or camera angle change, but it wasn't clear when it picked back up. I dont know if you read why the time was stated, but Vectorboy seemed to remember seeing the video and thought he flew 90 sec from the top to opening. Was that you in the video flying the black MTR2? Looked like there was a pretty good wind blowing toward the cafe? Huh? Ed www.WestCoastWingsuits.com www.PrecisionSkydiving.com
