  1. Geez....for $1000 you'd think you COULD put it in hot water... Ok Clay - you just made me laugh out loud! Good point!!! I like jello. It was my sole source of nourishment after the whole tongue severing thing. God, do I have a lot of battle scars or what?!
  2. If you sit behind me on the plane I'm gonna keep on checking my hackey - and checking it, and checking it.....
  3. It's tempting - the fake "gear" that is. But that is a lot of jumps! I have so much fun even without em that I'm better off spending the (unearned) thousands on jumps! Besides, I'd always worry they'd pop on a high alti jump!
  4. Well, as long as I'm on my back I would say YES! I can't do my scintillating dance on top - but that's not far away. My saving grace is my flexibility - I can just hook the leg behind my ear! I used to stretch at the dz before jumping but the looks I got when I would spread my legs and stretch forward, putting my stomach and chest completely on the floor, would freak too many guys out! dove
  5. Lori, I know you come here to chill and socialize, not to work... but I have a work question for you. As long as I do NO weight bearing, is there any possibility of overdoing it? Of hurting myself more? I have been doing tons more exercises to strengthen my muscles, but my knee aches a bit from it all. A little more than it has been. Not awful, but I don't want to slow my recovery. I also know that PT is supposed to hurt. Anything I should avoid? Will I know if I've done something to hurt my knee? Thanks for your help!! dove
  6. Hey Justin - BACK OFF! I want to see some ass! Post, boys, post! Come on girls, are you with me on this one?!?! Finally some male meat pics!
  7. Yeah - but if you only have B's you can't get much more than 5 extra feet! I got more when I wore my stars and stripes bikini (first weekend back after Sept. 11) and the anticipation got extra alti!!! I'll leave the flashing to my sisters with C+! Or wait til I hit the lottery and get my new "rigs"!! dove
  8. This is SO not fair! Come on people! YOu know I am horny! Post pics! Or come visit my horny hiney here in Florida!
  9. Mind if I hang out here till it's safe back where I farted? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Glad to hear you have overcome Tom! Clay - I do like hot tubs (ooooooo that tickles!) but I am NOT gonna put my $1,000 brace in hot water!
  11. Hehe! Let me know if there is any other way I can be of service to you! dove ;o)
  12. OUCH!!!!!!! But this just happened last year? So conceivably you could still get even better? Thanks for posting your story! dove
  13. Hey - what's all that material doing in the way! I need you to take that off NOW! dove
  14. I'm always up for seeing some nice ass! Post a pic, Sebazz! dove
  15. My dad is Jewish and my mother was raised Presbyterian. They brought us up with an open mind and freedom to choose. My oldest brother is Jewish, sister is Methodist, other brother is Catholic and I have my own little relationship to God. I think of myself as very spiritual and have a strong belief, but don't feel the need to partake in any organized religion. dove
  16. Cool! Even if we go before I am - er - jumpable.. I wanna go! dove
  17. Hey! That's the creep that's been stalking me!
  18. Heather - Will you be at Zhills for the Easter boogie this weekend? I am thinking of coming out to - er - hang (read: gimp) around. If you see crutches and curly hair - that's me! dove
  19. Heather - I'm a Zhills girl and have never been to Deland either. Maybe once I'm mended we can go on a field trip! I've heard it's a great place but you should bring a friend. Perfect! I've never been to Lost Prairie either, but that definitely gets my vote. I plan on going this year. Even if you go alone you will meet tons of new people and probably a lot of us too! In reality, are you ever alone at any dz? dove
  20. Rhonda, In my opinion, your husband was way off on this one. There is way too much at stake to jump out of a plane in a bad mindset. But what shocks me most is that you were flying a new canopy. EVERYBODY know you don't try more than one new thing at a time! You should have been doing relaxed fun jumps and maybe pulling a bit high to really get to know your canopy. Besides, the real reason we all skydive is because it's fun. And if someone is taking that away from you then it becomes a rather expensive way to kill time. I've only had one instance where I wasn't enjoying myself on a skydive. I was freeflying with a group of people (too large for my experience level) who kept pushing me to do more and said I couldn't say no. After 3 very unsuccessful jumps and with diminishing confidence I became increasingly concerned about safety and felt miserable. I wanted to leave. Then I had the revelation that the reason I wasn' t having fun wasn't because of me, or because I sucked. It was because I was in a situation that made me uncomfortable. So I broke out of the group to lots of groans and tks-tsks from them and had a kick ass jump all by myself. I came down smiling and grinning and loving life. THIS is why I skydive! No matter what - have fun and be safe. dove
  21. Tom - Rock on! Great to hear about your knee! That is awesome. I can cope with it gettting stiff every now and then. I just dont' want there to be too much pain to jump. Like that'll ever happen. I was SO ready in the ER to say "amputate" if they would have said no more jumping. But they seem to think I will get 100% and I am so active and work out so much I will keep it well oiled! ;o) The only complication I have to worry about will be to see if my minisci are intact when I walk on it in May. That will be when I find out if there are pieces in there. They were gonna remove most, if not all of it (for those who don't know, your miniscus (i) are the shock absorbers in your knee) but since all the little pieces of bone pulled together like a puzzle they figured the miniscus hadn't fallen between the pieces and gotten torn like usually happens with injuries of this sort. So what did you do to your tibia? How long were you out? Thanks again for makin' me smile! dove
  22. Hey ltdiver! I sent you a PM - like 3 times and kept getting an error message so I don't know if you got it or not. PT is great! Well - I mean it ain't the funnest thing in the world, but it is SO awesome to watch my progress. I have been on my own since the one physical therapist visited me in the hospital. He came in with a speech about how important it was to really be vigilant with your PT and not to be lazy. He left saying "Please don't overdo it!" And everytime I go to the doctor they are ASTOUNDED by how much strength, mobility and flexibility I have regained. This week I added a bunch of new exercises since I will start walking in 4 weeks now. I want my leg to be strong before I put weight on it! Of course, there is only so much I can do to build up the muscle without doing weight-bearing, but I have to admit I am kicking butt and taking names! Even since I added the new exercises after seeing the doc on Tuesday I can see progress. And oddly enough I think all the new exercises are actually making that last bit of swelling finally go down some more - either that or it's just coincidence. Anyhow, you PT guys rock! Thank you from the top of my tibia! dove
