  2. Yuck! I don't like coffee. Nope! Don't like it at all! Tastes awful and give you bad breath. I'll pass. These days it's super extra calcium fortified super woman milk! Move over boys! flexing dove!
  3. Jugs! Rack None of which would apply to me! mini dove
  4. Wildblue - awesome! You are almost there! Yup - I plan on taking as long as it takes, but my leg is getting super strong. You can really see the muscles developing and looking more and more like the other leg (and like it used to look). So that will help when I start walking. I have a feeling it will be quite vocal if I try to do too much! Glad to hear you are up and around. Screw moving! That is bogus! Say you are allergic to dust and can't move cause of all the dirt it stirs up. You gotta get back in the sky - if not for yourself, for me! Remember? You were gonna do a kick-ass jump for me! Gopher... I miss swooping like crazy and watch the Swoop video all the time. But I will be doing some very sweet tip-toe landings at least for the first month. No risers anywhere near the ground for me! But thanks for keeping me in check. I need that! I love you all! Yes - even you, Chromie! You perverted lascivious succulent treasure, you! grinning dove (2 weeks, 6 days!)

I don't have a camera - and ain't no way I could fit jeans over this freakin brace! I wish! Give me time..... Though it is so hot here now (only down to 71 tonight - achhh!) I can't stand to wear more than a tank and short-shorts. Pant, pant! glistening dove
  10. I am down to only 3 more weeks to go til I can walk again! (OK - so it's only partial weight bearing and I have to keep the crutches for 2 more weeks after that, but still!) Considering I have been "broken" for 9 weeks that sounds like NOTHING! Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy, grinning, excited, panting dove!

  12. Emmie, That sucks! Sorry you didn't have a fantastic time like you were so hoping. But PLEASE don't give up on FLorida! Come to Zhills! Super fast planes, awesome sweet people, and I have never seen any huge bugs there... only mosquitos! And you are free to stay with me and shower in my shiney bathroom! Seriously! Anytime! But if it is before I am able to jump again you aren't allowed to rub it in! Glad you got some tunnel time and made the best of it. You're a trooper! dove

How embarrassing! It's not supposed to be there twice. I sent it to Mountainman and he struggled with it and apparently tried twice to get it on there without the JPEG icon. Silly pic - but the only one I have of me where my face isn't being blown around by 180 mph winds! Sent an email to HH about fixing or removing it but he's frolicking in Rome. blushing, embarrassed dove

  15. I really wish I could help out. I've missed a ton of work I did have due to my leg and now am out of work too. I will see if I can scrounge up something though. It won't be much.. sorry. Wish I could buy you a new house! dove

Chromie, I knew someone would go there eventually. I should have known it would be you! Brace yourself for a BIG screw! dove *undressing*
  17. Hey Goofy... are you kidding me? You'll have no problem finding good food in Chicago. You'll just pay a lot for it! dove
  18. One day closer to walking and skydiving. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!! Thank you Easter Bunny! dove
  19. Ann, I have to think that all this bad crap happens to us for a reason. The old adage "when one door closes another one opens." All the shit I have gone through in the past 6 months: 2 skydiving accidents, getting a divorce, moving to a new place, harrassment over separation agreement, current unemployment... there must be something grand coming along that I would never have recognized if I hadn't encountered all these obstacles. Hang in there. It'll happen for you... and me too! dove Clay - you crack me up with those sigs!

Thanks so much for all your responses! I have been pondering this a lot. My doc said they usually leave em in unless they start to hurt or come out on their own. I guess I'd just like to be au naturel. And I hate the thought of calcium leaching from my bone or the strength being comprosised. I hadn't heard about the calcium thing but my doctor was very adamant about the strength not being compromised AT ALL once it is fully healed. I don't know, I guess I feel young (ok- not SO young, but still) and don't want to always have a forein object in me the rest of my life. And they did say if it is taken out it will be easy. Outpatient and walking the same day. They said the bone fills up the hole very quickly. I have a lot of thinking to do. I like Tigra's idea about doing it in the off season though... Thanks again! You all are wonderful! dove

This question is for those of you out there that have had hardware (pins, screws, rods) in your legs... did you have it removed or not. If so, why? Because of pain or because you didn't need it anymore. If you still have it, does it bother you at all. Just wondering. Thanks dove
