  1. What can I say? Great minds think alike! (Fokkin A!) dove/AirAnn Anyone want a kitten? You know you do.....
  2. Saying sorry in a public forum takes a lot of guts. Lots of people couldn't do it. That said.... I think you are FUCKING awesome!!!! Hope you have a great weekend whether you jump or not! dove
  3. No need to punish yourself - that is a great way to learn a lesson (albeit the HARD way!) You can rest assured you'll never make that mistake again! Be good to your ankle, read lots of articles and watch lots of videos and keep yourself emotionally and educationally current. You'll be back before you know it! I can't believe it's been 12 weeks since I shattered and compressed my tibial plateau. I never thought I'd make it that long! SO just do exactly as the doctor orders and you'll heal up lickety split! sending you my healing vibes............ dove
  4. I'll be there with you in your pocket - at least in spirit (and in dirty little dove thoughts!) Thanks Andy!
  5. Yeah - I kinda like the pocket idea better. Hmmmm... which one? What time are you leaving for the dz? I am THERE! lovedove
  6. Andy - I'm sure you could cram a gimp in there - right? And maybe I'd also fit in your pocket and you could take me on a SKYDIVE this weekend. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! itsy bitsy teeny weeny dove
  7. I will NOT look! Be nice to me - I am a gimp! dove No Teasing!
  8. Yup - like I said, 135,000 miles on my Honda. No major repairs. Just keep the oil clean and do all the scheduled tuneups. Those Preludes are pretty... but out of my price range! dove
  9. Buy a Big Air Sportz KITE! Yes - they make awesome kites too! Nothing like kite flying when you can't body fly! dove Caution: do not fly a high-performance kite with a broken leg - I am serious!
  10. Hey Viking! I have a 1995 with 135,000 miles on it. Still purrs. I think you are talking about the little CRX Si. Schweet little car! So small and zippy and yet TONS of cargo space. If you find one I'll be jealous. Promise me you'll take me for a ride! dove
  11. Yup! Yup! Yup! I've had good friends before - but never like the ones I've made skydiving. And I have had the same experience at new dropzones... always welcomed in with a smile and open arms! Will do n2. I'm supposed to see Brian and Michelle this weekend or Monday. Can't promise you anything on the Samurai tho! dove
  12. I think I'd keep my good ol' used Honda Civic. Or buy another used one. Now matter how rich I was, after taking care of my family and friends I'd still want to save all my money for jumps. The civic gets great gas mileage and with a used car you don't have to worry about door dings cause who cares?! dove
  13. throw themself out of a perfectly good airplane? THE BEST KIND! Bear with me - I just need a couple of minutes up here on my soapbox. (Any more than that and I'd lose my balance on my one good leg!) There are lots of sports where the participants have a strong comraderie, but none like skydiving. When I had a midair collision last August and broke 2 ribs and almost lost my tongue (among other injuries) my skydiving family kept me going on. People I barely knew called me long distance at home to see how I was doing. It meant the world to me - especially since my husband (at the time) was so pissed he wouldn't even speak to me. When Ann almost lost her house and her children last month, dz.comers rallied around her and came to her rescue without her even having to ask them to! No one expected anything in return except Ann's happiness. When I broke my leg in January, the Germain's took care of me in their house for 3 WEEKS despite the fact that they barely knew my first name! And on a day-today basis how many people do you know who would offer to lend THOUSANDS of dollars worth of equipment to even their closest friend when it could get filthy, torn, ruined etc... much less to someone new? To all my skydiving family who has kept a huge grin on my face while healing my shattered tibia, who have put me up in times of need, who have helped any other fellow skydiver just because that's what we do (and to skycat and TequilaGirl and all the others who do their best to keep everyone safe and current and smiling in the sky...) THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU!!! Like Muenkel's sig says... "Skydivers...they're just plain cool!" sappy dove

Of course, I'll have to wait a bit before I can partake and by then everyone else will have found employment. Drat! Oh well.
